4:08 – Mini Kenzo vs Octagoncito
4:52 – Mini Charly vs Mascarita Sagrada
2:40 – Abismo vs Atomic

8:45 – trios

That doesn’t seem right. They can’t find five full minutes for a single match, and the trios is nearly nine? This has all been poor.

The editing has gotten beyond ridiculous. How someone can see that show, see that the finish of a match was missed, and let it make air like that is unbelievable.

Oriental was one evil dude.

Ozz saying “we’re going to do it at VdE” is actually a subtle angle for AAA.

Super Fly is such the jobber.

10/12: IWRG, jumps, lineups

IWRG (THU) 10/09 Arena Naucalpan [SuperLuchas #285]
1) King Drako & Nemesis IWRG b Eragon & Miss Gavitoa
2) Freelance, Pegasso Xtreme, Rey Cometa b Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro
3) Mascara Ano 2000 Jr. b Head Hunter I, Toscano, el Hijo Del Anibal, Zumbido, Hjio de Pierroth, Latino, Multifacético, Aeroman, Fuerza Guerrera [lumberjack strap match, #1, Rey De Ring]

The main event turned out to be a lumber jack strap match with eliminations in the ring and the winner facing Scorpio Jr. at some point in the future for his title. Because of the strapping, the wrestlers were more concerned with staying in the ring than winning the actual match. The indy Fuerza Aerea beat the Oficials, setting up a title match for next week.

SuperLuchas also has a big interview with Romero and Koslov abut their jumps, which is very much worth reading in it’s entirety. Romero says he was brought in to CMLL to be what amounts to be a Mistico clone (they didn’t expect him to be that over, but that’s the kind of character CMLL wanted; what does it say that CMLL felt they need to go out of the company to get this sort of character?) Once it didn’t work out, they really didn’t have any plans for him. Romero is still under the belief it’ll be Negro Casas and him teaming in NJPW, a historic CMLL/AAA team up.

Alex says jumping to AAA was the toughest decision of his career – CMLL gave him a big opportunity but they had stopped giving him anything to do and he felt like he was dying as a wrestler. (It’s funny, there’s an ESTO article which notes Alex just told them last week he wanted to win the CMLL Middleweight Title; if he actually had an opportunity to do that or something like that, I think he would’ve have jumped.) Alex had been considering going back to the US, but thinks AAA will give him more chance to grow. You only get one lifetime, so Alex didn’t want to waste it. He thanks Paco Alonso, while noting Alonso isn’t very happy with him right now. Alex says a lot of their former colleagues understand why he and Rocky did what they did.

In a Notimex article, Ultimo Guerrero explains he and others couldn’t take the Villanos beating up Panther, so they decided to do something. (So did the fans.) They’re calling the group Ola Lagunera for the moment and are inviting rudos and tecnicos to join in their war against the Villanos. Besides the guys who were together on Friday, Euforia, Misterioso II, Stuka and Dr. Wagner Jr. are mentioned as possible other members. Ultimo Guerrero admits he has no idea where this leaves him, Atlantis and the rest of the Guerreros, and they’ll have to talk about it. Skip down to the lineups for more on that. The last paragraph quotes Mephisto when they mean Ephesto, though it points out the Triad of Terror ought to be dead once more, since the Villanos and the Perros are allies.

More from Rey Misterio Jr., who must’ve had a phone conference to promote the tour he’s not even on. Rey wants to do a movie, thinks AAA and CMLL must continue to surprise and motivate the fans if they want to draw, and plans to retire…in 8 or 10 years. And that’s just from the WWE, he plans on touring Mexico (and the world) as an indepedent after that.

Accion had highlights of the CMLL main event but didn’t show a second of the post match angle. AAA was the Pachuca main event (in other words, Jack takes crazy bumps for Parka and Ciber.) Parka got Jack with an electric chair superplex, pinned him, Piero only had time to count one before Parka got up off the pin, adjusted his mask, and covered again for the three. Very odd.

ESTO talks to Dragon Rojo Jr. (the wrestler) and Dragon Rojo Jr. (the voice in the movie)

El Manana profiles Cassandro, listing the (unnamed) CHIKARA Lightweight Title as one of his biggest wins.

Blue Panther talks about the mask match and the aftermath; he thought he had that match won.

Martha Villalobos and her wrestlers are collecting canned food for hurricane relief.

Looks like all the AAA wrestlers are now off the next DTU card.

Luchaworld has KrisZ’s newest news update

3) Axel, Tony Rivera, Valiente vs Dragon Rojo Jr., El Magnifico, Negro Navarro
4) Rey Bucanero & Último Guerrero vs Black Warrior & Terrible

Anniversary show, and not the Mr. Mexico hair match they were just building up here. Plans change.

CMLL (SUN) 10/19 Arena Coliseo
1) Sombra de Plata & Trueno vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Dark Angel, Goddess, Princesa Blanca vs La Seductora, Mima Shimoda, Princesa Sujei

4) La Máscara, La Sombra, Volador Jr. vs Averno, Satánico, Terrible
5) Blue Panther, Héctor Garza, LA Park vs Rey Bucanero, Villano IV, Villano V

Rey teaming with the Villanos is interesting with Ultimo Guerrero on the other side of the war, but then when you recall the Guerreros and the Perros aren’t supposed to be getting along previously, it just seems like someone’s not paying attention when booking. Panther teaming with two Monterrey guys would be another clue.

Starman in the tercera = obvious Alex Koslov stand in. Alex is still listed Tuesday and Friday. CMLL has not bothered to update their lineups, 48 hours after the jump.

IWRG (SUN) 10/19 Arena Naucalpan
1) Super Halcon Jr. vs Carta Brava
2) Eragon & Jack vs Furia Guerrera & King Drako
3) Gemeo Fantastico I vs Dr. Cerebro
4) Freelance, Multifacético, Pendulo vs Black Terry, Ciclon Negro, Terror Negro
5) Latino & Rayo de Jalisco Jr. vs Head Hunter I & Veneno

This is the TV Azteca taping. The Scorpio show with Santo in the main event is for TV C Deportes. Not sure that’s the way I’d do things, unless I’d given up on the TV Azteca deal.
