  1. Unless the intro was just a repeat, they appear to be replaying last week’s TV episode. Although the opening clips had stuff from the unaired tercera last week, the women and an Arena Coliseo match.

  2. Let’s try this again, shall we?

    3ra from 9/14 @ Coliseo.

    2da from 9/12 @ Mexico.

    3ra from 9/5 @ Mexico.

  3. @Rob:

What does stand out both with last nights show/TV arrangements/result and next weeks cards is the blatant and undisputed fact that CMLL do not give a shit about trying to put out a good product – maybe that’s something we already knew, but it at least reminded us and removed any doubt. No one can be that stupid to push the guys they push, snub the guys they snub, and allow a useless fat freelance waster to take the mask of one of your organisations top guys, a CMLL mainstay and a genuine lucha libre legend.

I suppose there’s at least an intriguing minis match to hold our interest. The one and only thing CMLL have done right in 2008.

Last night pics up already btw – looks like they decided to earn their money in the opener after all.

  4. Well according to Steve Sims in the chat last night (it was full and went awesome – we missed ya Henrik!) – CMLL/Paco is going with the theory that when the WWE comes to town there is no money to be made 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after they do their thing. If that’s the case I think Paco needs to step down from his spot ASAP.

Also if that’s the case and the WWE is planning to run 25 times a year as Keith says, I guess CMLL will be folding next year.

  5. WTF? Was it just Dish Network or what happened to AAA’s TV show? They lost their signal during the Hart/Evans tag, then restarted with that match and went to commercials.

  6. This fucking bullcrap of constantly giving the women the C3 segunda spot is depressing too. Of 11 weekly matches (or 9 that we can get), there is absolutely no scope for undercarders making tv with this bullshit arrangement.

  7. Uhm… did anyone catch that Goddess interview? She was either really drugged up or big time concussed. That was quite awkward…

  8. Holy fuck, that was cool from Ninja.

Is that Nino De Acero under the mask this time? It sure don’t look like the Japanese guy.

  9. Damn that was fun, despite the edit.

You can always trust the minis to restore your faith in lucha libre, no matter how shitty everything else is! :)

  10. What’s the deal with Dorada’s outfit? I liked the match last week better but this one was good too.

  11. What edit? They had two crowd shots but no action was missed b/c the commentary never got interrupted and they do it live.:) I had that timed at 22 minutes which is INSANE these days in Mexico.

I loved it! Better than last week’s Torneo somehow!

Sombrita sure has an awesome outfit but he is so old and slow. He was the only one who didn’t shine.

Electrico had an AWESOME exhcange with Pequeno Ninja (it was Rascal!). Loved the step-up frankensteiner after he swung around him. Also loved the SLAP to Bam Bam! GROW SOME HAIR, BITCH!

Cosmi… erm… Celesial had his moments too. Dive was weak but he looked better than the week before.

Pequeno Ninja!!! Tried to steal the show! You can’t do that when Mascarita is around!!! But what an effort. He did some awesome spots and his dive was OFF THE CHARTS NUTTY! Pequeno Black must have been in my blind spot or something b/c I really didn’t see him on the floor and thought Pequeno Ninja was about to die a sweet death. He did eventually die a sweet death after that inverted gory special slam by Pequeno Violencia. OOF!

Pequeno Halloween was his usual awesome self. That splash to the floor is so simple and yet I’m sure it kills his knees. He should cut that out.:P

Pequeno Fantasy had an awesome dive and I loved when he jumped in to eliminate Electrico after the big exchange with Pequeno Ninja. GENIUS! And then he got mugged by Pequeno Halloween!

Pequeno Violencia was great too. He’s an awesome bumper.

Bam Bald was really fun. The dual dives with Mascarita rocked. Without hair he looks so much smaller.

Pequeno Warrior was awesome all match long. I’m so glad he left AAA before the mini’s division turned into what it is now.

And what can you say about Mascarita? Aside from the ugly outfit of course.:P DUDE IS OFF THE CHARTS AWESOME!!! Three unreal dives, tons of awesome in ring spots including EAT TWO FEET from Pequeno Violencia after hanging in the air for like 4 seconds which is IMPOSSIBLE! And that finish was AWESOME! SATELLITE NEBLINA! And he slapped Warrior too! Take that Henrik!:p

Awesome awesome awesome match. No doubt about it.

  12. I thought it looked like an edit where they cut to Celestials shitty plancha. He hadn’t even been in for an opening exchange and neither did a few other pairs.

Man, if that was the usual Japanese ninja guy who sucked and showed nothing in his first two appearances (on the same day) and who sucks and shows nothing in every single Ultimo Dragon/Toryumon Mexico show, then i’m amazed at how good he looked there.

I thought Sombrita was ok. But yeah, the match was definitely better than last week. And it was even better that all the pics didn’t give it all away this week :)

  13. Hmmmm I remember Dorada sending Sombrita outside and hitting the ropes while Celestial climbed to hit his dive. Hopefully it gets uploaded and we can check it out again.:)

The only thing missing from these Torneos was TZUKI!

  14. Nah, you’re probably right, i was just casually watching the action without paying any attention to the background to see if someone was setting up for a dive.

It just seemed to cut suddenly to the dive, and usually all 5 pairs will get a minute or 90 seconds or so of an opening exchange before they start going all out into the big spots, rope running etc. it just looked a bit disjointed.

Guys who are capable of busting out skytwister moonsault planchas from the top should not be allowed to just hit a standard plancha :-p

  15. Give him a break, he worked the same match two weeks in a row. He’s having deja vu.:P

    Here’s my idea…

Every month they have a Torneo where the winner gets a shot at the new belt. Sounds good, huh?:)

Dorada vs Pierrothito could be amazing…

  16. yup. 25 shows around Mexico nationwide, per year. 4 in Mexico City, 2 in MTY and 2 in GDL right off the bat. One a year in other cities, if WWE sends a “B” crew and lowers their price a little.

  17. + Deporte on Galavision is covering the Panther vs. Villano match, in case anyone is near a tv now.
