4) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Volador Jr. DQ Ephesto, Villano IV, Villano V

Villano V is back and fouling Blue Panther like he never left. In an another article about Mictlan, Ovaciones jokes that his new gimmick should be teaming with Alex Koslov.

Poor turnout.
ESTO’s article on the NWA Mexico says 1,500 fans for the show.
another Banda Acha article talking about the match Mistico and Perro Aguayo Jr. had, though it again reads like something written in advance based off the press release. Meanwhile, from someone actually there, things did not go well in the actual main event.
Al Filo del Ring has an interview with IWRG’s El Centauro. Noroeste.com talks to el Tahur.
Back this evening if there’s more news.

Friday card is apparently up at the ByL foro.
I’ll go out on a limb and call the 75 anniversary a flop, right now, even with 2 weeks left for them to pull something up. I don’t care if they overflow the place with 30,000 and have 3 million PPV buyrate. It’s a flop.
Why? Because it’s supposed to be a celebration for the 75 years of the company. And they have (so far) Blue Panther vs Villano V. The later has ZERO EMLL relevance, he was there just a few times with the WCW invasion and in the current dull Villanos run. Panther is more important, but 70% of his best stuff has been done elesewhere, neither are iconic CMLL stars so the event lacks a big thing IMO.
NWA vs CMLL and Wagner vs Niebla (if it happens) are the same story, they’ve hyped the anniversary show since before the 74th took place, and it will end featuring guys who were nor even with the company 4 months prior? Instead of work and creativity it comes down to having the bucks to make it happen?
Then is some “philosophical” thing about CMLL calling itself the “traditional” empresa but being a AAA/IWRG/WWE/whatever ripoff, their match style is stolen from the WCW luchadors era, and they have inserted Japanese style on to it with guys pulling opponent’s finishers, exaggerated saves by partners, re-re-reversals of finishers, etc. Not to mention that they’re full of flashy flyers and strippers, owning gimmicks, replacing some of them, and more. They’ve turned themselves in what they say they hate AAA for.
I’ll leave it there before I start making even less sense!!
wow. What a loser you are TristeAAA fans…
Nobody said AAA doesn’t have it’s share of problems, but CMLL is pretty sad right now.
The people who say ‘TristeAAA’ are like the old NWA fans when the WWF started taking over. They’d go on and on about how they have the real wrestling and WWF is a joke and even when a classic like Savage/Steamboat would take place, the NWA fans would blow it off and say “nuh-uh – we have real wrestling – we had Midnight Express vs Rock n’ Rolls in a 15,000 star match on Saturday Night!” while totally ignoring the JFD vs Dick Murdoch match that came on right before.
If you can’t respect that both promotions have both good and bad, you’re just a homer plain and simple and you should admit it so we can stop taking your opinions seriously.
I was just talking about the anniversary show, if I was to write about the overall CMLL situation, the AAA turmoil would be another point of concern for CMLL as they won’t be able to count on AAA for bringing new fans in and stealing their stars if/when AAA folds.
Youtube has the Aero Star/Jack finish from last night. *SICKENING*
RFC has the AAA TV results but no mention of any storyline progression.
CMLL.com finally has the two lineups for Friday/Sunday. Are they really giving Halcon Negro’s hair to Tony again?:/
AAA.com may be in the process of updating the lineups right now which means we’ll have a Sept. 7 lineup and maybe even Verano by tonight.
NWA drew 1,500? The debut show always has extra people just due to curiosity so if they have nowhere to go but down from that we might not even see a second show as I predicted we would. Santo’s ego must be hurting. Demon Jr.’s moreso but he’ll never catch onto the fact nobody cares about him unless he’s teasing a mask loss to Santo.
Was a rough weekend overall, the NWA might have done better a month earlier, even Naucalpan seems to be running the shows only with locals, I guess they need to cut costs.
lover_ice upoloaded the Espectro Jr vs Blue Demon Jr, maybe to cheer Demon up, NWA had a better turnaround in percentage. But I guess that means that lover_ice didn’t get the PPV.
YADIRA LLAVEN…
OF LA JORNADA…

SHE LIKES TO ROCK IN THE 60’S STYLE…
THAT’S THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY ABOUT HER.
SURE SHE WAS THINKING ‘BOUT THE PEACE & LOVE STUFF WHILE THE WRESTLING MATCHES WERE ON.
