No full Coliseo results yet. Ovaciones has the same bit on the hair match and the main event that was out yesterday.
Wagnermania posted this week’s Ras de Lona in two parts. You can see Villano V’s injury at about 8:05 of the second video. Ultimo Guerrero was giving him the front superplex (which, seriously, bad idea to start with) and V5 decided he didn’t want to take the normal face first bump, turning on to his side before impact. Protecting this face got his collarbone broke. From the way everyone reacted, I’d wager UG just improvised the finish of pulling V5’s mask off because Villano was done.
In el Manana, Arturo Rivera rips the Nuevo Laredo CMLL promoter, Miguel Linares, Leobrado Magadan, and Julio Cesar Rivera for promoting the local (CMLL vs ex-WWE) show as being on Televisa. Arturo says this simply isn’t true, everyone involved is a liar, and he’s going to go tattle to Televisa. I just had presumed the show was meant to be shown on the local Televisa affiliate, but I guess Arturo feels they’re implying differently. Arturo may be ever so slightly biased here.
El Porvenir talks to Lee Demarbe, the director of the Vampiro documentary. It cost $60,000 to be made, and that’s with many people apparently not actually being paid.
AAA (MON) 09/01 Gimnasio Luis Estrada Medina [noroeste]
1) Cholo Cris vs Mascara Maligna (local)
2) El Relampago & Mr. Humo vs Terremoto King Jr. & Tony Golden
3) Athos & Black Metal vs Americanista & Renegado
4) Gronda & Terry max vs Black Abyss & Kenzo Suzuki
5) El Alebrije & Octagón vs El Brazo & the Cruices
I would presume this means these guys aren’t working the TV Taping.

I was thinking the local promoter in Nuevo Laredo was talking about local Televisa, which would be out of Monterrey, or even the Televisa affiliate in NL, XEFE, which is really indy, but airs Televisa shows, and uses their logo.
There are those who think Televisa pulled CMLL to show them that they won’t tolerate Wagner, who was in this weeks main event, working both Televisa and Azteca.
Octagon, Gronda and Brazo off the 9/1 taping (and 8/31 by default) is already a good sign. I want lineups!
“Robert writes about random matches over on luchaworld”
I do? I don’t think so.
@Rob: Yeah, you do! You lost at rock, paper, scissors and now your reviews will be gracing the pages of luchaworld for eternity! :p
I think he meant, your reviews are being archived and you totally forgot I asked you like 2-3 days ago.:)
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. That’s right. I thought someone was posting reviews under my name when I first read that.
Totally unrelated – I think it’s awesome that I took the time to post a long commentary on the AAA situation noted in the WON over on the SuperLuchas site and someone actually translated it. That was a very nice gesture. Perhaps I should post it in English here where it won’t need to be translated? There’s a thought.
BTW Fredo/Chui/anyone smarter than me, is there a term for “job” in Spanish? i.e. to do the job (lay down) When the guy translated what I wrote it said “nobody in the Legion wants to work” which is not what I meant.
@Rob: Link? I’d like to read it.
I posted it below in the thread where Cubs talks about it.
To Rob: Here is your last comment”But the one thing that needs to sees changed right away – the people in charge. You need people who understand MEXICO, not people who think they understand WRESTLING and think wrestling is the same everywhere.”
Do you think Lucha Libre and the fans in Mexico are changing? Maybe AAA thinks they doing what right for business and is actually booking for the current generation. Like you said, AAA is ahead in every department but I never see you and others say CMLL is going to have problems since they are the promotion having television problems at the moment. CMLL spends more money on talent than AAA. AAA bringing in foreign guys for one show is not a big deal.
I think using Billy Boy as an example is kind of weak since he is on tv more than most wrestlers on the roster and he enjoy working with the Apaches. I don’t think Billy Boy is one of the guys complaining.
You made some decent points but I think the whole AAA is like WCW thing is BLOWN WAY OUT OF PROPORTION. Like Cubs said, the same problems existed today been going on forever in AAA.
See that’s why I only posted that on SL originally. Nobody would challenge what I wrote and just reply with “35th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” or “aaa mierda”.:P
Anyways, I’ll reply to that but there’s a huge storm brewing so I’m shutting my comp (probably for the night) and won’t be around till Wednesday just so you don’t think I’m ignoring what you wrote.
I think most foros guys would say “jobear”… I wonder how the wrestler themselves call it…
Who the hell is the Cruices?
@Rob: There is a pro-CMLL slant on many boards no doubt. Kind of like the pro-Obama slant in the media(So much that the Washington Compost wrote about it on Sunday).
