Projected Air Date (#850)

Konnan led the Legion to the ring after the main event, but Roldan sent the AAA troops to counter him.
Mesias did not wrestle, but did distract Elegido to set up a top rope Ozz powerbomb for the win. That seems like a big win for the Sect. Meanwhile, Silver King has yet to win.
In the fourth, Ricky got Teddy with a moonsault sideslam while Chessman speared Jack out of the ring and thru a table. That should be something. Hermandad ran in post match; Ricky had saved the MPs from an attack after they lost, and Nicho and Lider consider him one of the Mexican Powers after teaming with them at TripleMania.
Octagoncito really should be the champ. Or maybe Mini Abismo.
Next taping: tommorow.
Quick Update: site may be down sometime after 10pm CT for a quick upgrade. If I get the chance, I’ll do the same for the luchawiki later on tonight.

Just a reminder that CMLL is on C3 in a few minutes.
Those byl people are amazing. One is saying that CMLL pays for the tv time on Televisa. I don’t think CMLL gets paid though. I think it’s mainly a barter, or gets very little cash.
The feed I have is from Cd Juarez, maybe they won’t air it if they have own programming to air.
CMLL gets paid, and their announcers pay them for being on national TV, the most likely thing is that CMLL is cutting the first hour off, it should be doing a 2 rating so Televisa must be interested in keeping the higher 4 hour, that’s dumb because shows need to be build up for ratings to pick up.
Something I had not consider is what happens with Warner’s deal? I wonder if CMLL can go to TV Azteca since they’re tight with Disney who are Warner’s arch rivals… how long will the Warner deal last anyways?
Juarez 44 is airing infomercial. I’m watching on wwitv on C3 and not getting commentary.
So I woke up early for nothing? This better not give me a headache when I wake up again in 2 hours for Alas De Oro.
…so there’s no other feed?
If you have the itv link and it’s working, could you share it Keith?
now it’s not working. the screen is freezing.
Maybe lawagnermania will get it up, and it could be that at the half hour, the infomercial will end and we’ll get the original feed…
Our of curiosity when it froze what were they airing, Keith? Women?
Folks, i’m getting an ok feed from this wwitv;
wwitv.com/television/136.htm with the http:// at the start, then click on CT
Started with the f*cking women. No Romanos :(
@Rob: Yes. The women’s match.
Well, I can’t play .rm or .ram on this computer so I’m just gonna go back to bed. I only wanted to see the opener or Sombra’s match anyhow. I’m sure wagnermania will have it up tomorrow and I gotta rest up for Alas De Oro.;)
http://wwitv.com/a1/b3945.ram
I have no real player installed but the show’s working… tercera now, no comentary as well…
@Rob: Try that link.
.ram works with RealPlayer only, no? Mozilla asks me what program I want to use to open the file and even though VLC player said it will play streams it doesn’t open the link, only opens audio. It’s okay.
It actually looks better for me in the embeded player than on MPClassic…
realplayer alternative should do it, it doesn’t seem like a new version of real player.
wow, the commentary is not there. i thought maybe they just didn’t do it for the women’s match, and came out and did it for later matches. yet the crowd noise is there. i can’t imagine what the glitch is.
CT aired a full episode of CMLL in the past with just crowd noise. It was great.
It’s something about the feed, a few weeks back, I remember guys saying it had no commentary but I checked it and it was alright.
RealAlternative works nicely. Plus it allows me to watch Chui sends on my own computer now!
This reminds me I’m very worried that when Mictlan loses his mask he’ll get an even bigger push doing the same “sexy dude” deal he did in Monterrey. If the girls like him, CMLL will push him…
I wonder what people in Mexico City watching OTA or on cable are hearing(or not hearing).
And Julio Cesar is listed as doing commentary, and we can’t hear it. I like that guy.
Changing the topic, I wonder what those guys get paid for commentary. I figure $200 USD.
Well I’m glad I stayed up for that third fall. Goodnight.
They probably have a fixed weekly or monthly fee. From Gala, it seems that Magadan works for CMLL but the rest get paid by Televisa, lucha is not their only job, they can also cover soccer or other kind of news.
I think Julio Cesar works for MVS. Not sure. Still, I wonder what they get per month, even if you average things out per event.
I’m all for not showing the ring intros at Coliseo. But at ArMex, it has to be done because they have a long aisle, so people look like stars.
I stepped away. Did they show Wagner and Niebla intros, or did they just start with action in the ring?
It turned into a slide show for me so I quit as well, although I think I saw Niebla in an afro wig, so I’m guessing they showed the intros, even more so because it started at like 13:10 so filling the rest of the hour with a 10 minute match must be hard.
On other news, it seems that the less than 2000 guys for the CMLL Spain show has turned into 800, still less than 2000 but much worse. In other international (for me) news, I’ve heard that (Ri)kishi is not coming for tomorrow’s show, I wonder who else will pull a no show. And Torreon won’t host the WWE as Superluchas had said earlier, it seems no one of the local promoters was interested in losing money with the WWE.
AAA is on right now, don’t know if it will be 3 hours or 2.
LOL, they just aired a commercial for last night’s Gladiador drink show!!
“they”= Galavision? Chui, are you watching on internet or cable?
Someone wake up Robert. The minis are coming up.
I guess OCESA does not want to run(WWE) Torreon on their own. It’s a small market compared to DF, MTY, and GDL. I’d give Puebla a try though. WWE should have a price for “B” markets, where the promoter can break even at 2,500 paid.
I’ve been to quite a few TNA and WWE shows in the last year, and I can tell you, attendance is down. Only sellout I’ve seen is a Smackdown taping at Nassau Coliseum.
Did the Billy Boy match air before the mini’s? Roberto (RFC) said he was told it’d air and to watch for a special show from Babe Rap.
I’m watching the original Gala feed through local cable, I think it’s also airing at the same time locally over the air but it looks not as good.
Attendances are down everywhere, it’s bound to happen, someday they’ll go up again.
Billy Boy and Minis matches aired but had like 6 minutes combined for both, Soccer is comming up at 15:50 so they got the CMLL treatment…
I pray they cut out the stupid Apaches/Morenos match and just put Alas on now.
OT: I love how the news update talks about the Mexicans failing in the Olympics and how disapointed everyone is. Here in Canada we don’t do that… we praise our athletes for trying and finishing 17th out of 16 competitors and then wonder why we had 0 medals in the first week. We suck.
Wait… so now Apache likes Billy Boy and wants Fabi to be nice to him? I love this angle.
@Rob: It’s all drug sport anyway. Can you imagine the quantity of shit Phelps is on?
I can imagine the quantity of pussy he’s gonna get when he returns from Beijing.:)
ALAS DE ORO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone else say it before me please.
I can’t wait to see how Televisa and Univision handle this 1:50 AAA show for US broadcast. Best thing would be to air two-hour block in US, and fill in some time with some kind of vignettes or something.
I think AdO could have used a couple of minutes of exchanges at the start before the dives, but at least they stood away from doing team spots which is something I don’t like seeing at these kind of matches. Tiger was in his suckest self IMO… crowd was dead for anything not having Ciber, Gladiador was the mystery guy. The former Arena Neza guy is now booking elsewhere since AAA seems building up to a Evans vs Aerostar feud…
@luchalibrelive!: 2 hour shows have happened before and they just use generic programming, although there was a time when a match got canned over here because something else airing before AAA went longer than expected, but in US, said match aired fine. So who knows if AAA themselves have edited the usual 3 hour show and then cut it down to 2 hours for MxGala.
They actually revealed Gladiador as the mystery guy?
I was big time let down by the Alas De Oro. There were a few obvious edits but the most important thing is what you mentioned and something else…
1. No exchanges. How do you have a Torneo with almost no exchanges? It seemed more like a 7 minute collection of dives and a 4 minute collection of pinfalls. Last year’s Alas De Oro was great b/c it combined the crazy dives with 15 minutes of non-stop fast-paced exchanges.
2. Rapid-fire eliminations. They just dumped everyone within 4 minutes. It was very U.S. Indy-ish. Last year’s Alas De Oro split up the eliminations for the most part and they even went a few minutes between various eliminations. Here it was just one guy pins someone, then he gets pinned, then that guy gets pinned, then that guy goes out, etc. I hated that.
The finishing sequence with Jack and Aero Star wasn’t even a sequence. It was one missed dive, one big dive, one missed splash and one botched splash that ended up being the finish anyways even though Jack kicked out. It was a very anti-climactic and confusing finish.
Honestly… we can see all the crazy dives weekly as regular AAA viewers, I wanted to see a 15 minute match full of innovative flying (both inside and outside the ring) and the match didn’t deliver at all.
The only redeeming thing was seeing Extreme Tiger blow two spots badly which should shut the “Extreme Tiger deserves to win!” people up. But then Aero Star had to go and blow his big finisher…
No, but the mystery guy had the same shirt, was not him though, the mystery guy had no tattoos, I’m guessing it’s supposed to be Silver King (but wasn’t).
I think the lack of hit made the guys go off, place was pretty hot for the Fuerza Aerea match during Guerra de Titanes, and this time, nothing, so maybe they cut the match to sent the girls to dance and entertain the guys.
@xuisaw: Yes, they’ve happened before. But for the most part, Galavision(USA) was in chaos, with repeats, old episodes, etc………Things have been consistent for two years now. We’ll see if they hold up.
Whoa, RFC just announced AAA has another TV taping in Nuevo Laredo the day after the Monterrey show. Let’s hope they bring a loaded crew and also hope Mini Laredo Kid gets an undercard match!
Oh yeah and it should be noted according to WWEKING – AAA’s show today didn’t air the match with Abismo’s return.
