  1. 1) Dr. Wagner Jr.
    2) the Mex Trios match from Kid’s Day, though there still a lot I haven’t seen
    3) Wagner
    4) Zorro!
    5) Fabi Apache. I love SuperLuchas, but if she’s not top 3 this year…
    6) Hart Foundation II
    7) uh. uh. hmmm. The thing is, AAA tries, but their main events are so horrible. CMLL does not try but stumbles into things eventually, and I expose my horrible bias when I vote for them. Not IWRG. Can I vote Chikara?
    8) Mari/Fabi off the top of my head, but I’m sure something will past it up by the end of the year.
    9) Zorro, why not.
    10) pick a member of the Air Force. This Super Fly angle does end up going somewhere, right?

  2. 1) Best Wrestler – Fabi Apache, I liked Reina de Reinas (although her parts were not as strong, the tourney was built for her) and the hair match as well as some other mixed or ladies matches, besides she is pretty over with the crowd.
    2) Best Match – Dunno
    3) Best Tecnico – They all suck!
    4) Best Rudo – Zorro… Mari Apache maybe… although she was more like a pawn of Gran Apache so… Zorro yep.
    5) Best Female – Fabi, obviously
    6) Best Unit – Rivera & Morales… hehehe
    7) Best Promotion/Territory – La Laguna…
    8) Best Rivalry – Fabi vs Mary
    9) Most Improved –
    10) Most Underutilitzed – Lots of guys…

  3. Best wrestler:Escoria
    Best Match:
    Best Technico:
    Best Rudo:El Zorro
    Best Female:Fabi or Mari??
    Best unit:The Night Queens
    Best Promotion:AAA
    Best rivalry:
    Most improved:Yuriko
    Most Under

  4. 1) Best Wrestler: Dr. Wagner Jr.
    2) Best Match: Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero vs. Averno/Mephisto for CMLL Tag Titles
    3) Best Tecnico: Cibernetico
    4) Best Rudo: Perro Aguayo Jr.
    5) Best Female: Dark Angel
    6) Best Unit: Guerreros de la Atlantida
    7) Best Promotion/Territory: i love AAA, but this year CMLL has been the better promotion, though IWRG has had some really good matches this year
    8) Best Rivalry: Perro Aguayo Jr./Hector Garza
    9) Most Improved: X-Fly
    10) Most Underutilized: Zumbido

  5. 1) Best Wrestler: La Sombra. Conisering I have 5 MOTYC’s and he is involved in 4 of them…:) Always trying new things and really is a step above everyone surronding him like La Mascara, Volador Jr., Sagrado, Valiente and now Hijo Del Fantasma.

    2) Best Match: 4/30 Trios Titles followed by Sombra/Dos Jr. vs Averno/Mephisto and the 3/21 PPV mini’s match.

    3) Best Tecnico: Tzuki of course.

    4) Best Rudo: Mr. Niebla for both his AAA work and short CMLL run thus far.

    5) Best Female: GODDESS! *LMAO* Let’s go with Fabi Apache.

    6) Best Unit: Tzuki and Mascarita Dorada. Unstoppable together and actually qualify since they team regularly!

    7) Best Promotion/Territory: Toughie. Not a huge fan of AAA this year and CMLL hasn’t blown me away either. Don’t see IWRG. Guadalajara is the only area with regular TV that I’ve enjoyed so I’ll go with that.

    8) Best Rivalry: Abismo/Niebla was just too short.:( I’ll go with Fabi/Mari. CMLL/Televisa could have had a shot this year but they made up too fast.

    9) Most Improved: Jessy.

    10) Most Underutilitzed: The list is endless. Aero Star, Stuka Jr., Super Fly, Euforia, Mini Abismo Negro, Hooligan, Pirata Morgan and his kids, Super Comando, Billy Boy…

  6. All right here is the best of the worst or something like that:

    1) Best Wrestler: Dr Wagner Jr. He paid me to say it. (Honorable Mention: La Parka Jr, Hector Garza, Ultimo Guerrero, Heavy Metal)

    2) Best Match: Garza/Mistico Vs Averno/Mephisto. (Honorable Mention: G.D.A Vs Averno/Mephisto, Mexican Trios match from Kids Day)

    3) Best Tecnico: Cibernetico, Rocky Maivia Jr still has the fans eating out of his hands. (Honorable Mention: Intocable, La Parka Jr, Mistico, Hector Garza)

    4) Best Rudo: Zorra, er, Zorro, As much as fans want the old Zorro back, he is on the Randy Orton level of rudoness. (Honorable mention: Mesias, Perro Aguayo Jr and any member of the Legion)

    5) Best Female: Fabi Apache, sure Billy Boy gave her fits, and her dad and sister too, but she has done well so far stepping out into her own spotlight. (Honorable mention, Dark Angel, La Nazi, Ayako Hamada, Estrellita)

    6) Best Unit: Guerreros Del Atlantlida. The return of Toscano and Rey Buccanero (Who turned rudo again) strengthened them greatly. (Honorable mention: Perros, Garza/Mistico, La Familia Casas)

    7) Best Promotion/Territory: Before the jumps: AAA, after the Jumps: EMLL. EMLL has done nothing but actually get stronger with Mr Niebla, Scorpio Jr. and Shocker coming back. I will wait and see if Intocable, Abismo Negro and Elegido will indeed be EMLL bound before the end of the summer. (Honorable Mention, IWRG, Guadelajara)

    8) Best Rivalry: Mexican Powers Vs Familia De Tijuana Vs La Hermanidad, Lider becomes a thug alongside X-Fly and Nicho and add in the fact these are 3 groups who absolutely hate each other. (Honorable mention, Billy Boy Vs anyone with the last name Apache, Fabi Apache Vs Mari Apache, AAA/Hell Brothers Vs Secta de Mesias/Legion Estranjera)

    9) Most Improved: Alan Stone, actually, with the exception of Intocable, all of the Bellos Stones. Ever since Chris and Alan Stone jumped to AAA, their work has gotten much better and Super Calo seemed to not only get better but ever since he dropped the mask Calo just reformed himself as a wrestler. But as far as Alan goes he became a breakout star a lot more after he jumped.

    10) Most Underutilitzed: Take your pick of any member of Real Fuerza Aerea with the exception of the mega push Laredo Kid is getting. What will they do with the rest of RFE?

  7. Best Wrestler-I could always say Rey Bucanero Jr but Tzuki made my JAWS drop so many times.Tzuki is my choice

Best Match- Everybody has their definition of best match but I haven’t seen too many matches that had Garza/Perro hair match heat. I can’t remember from the top of my head but it was a C3 minis match that blew my mind away.

    Best Tecnico-Cibernetico

    Best Rudo-Zorro

    Best Unit-Mini Halloween and Damian

Best promotion-I’m the opposite of Cubs, even when AAA don’t try they still manage to put on decent shows while it seems like CMLL is trying to put on their best effort and fail on so many levels.Picking AAA the best lucha promotion is like picking WWE the best promotion of the world. You really have no other choice.

Best Rivalry- Perro/Garza made me care about their match

Most Improved-ummm,Zorro can get a good match out of nothing and I never thought of him in that light before.

    Most underrated-Aero Star

  8. 1) Best Wrestler: Fabi Apache. I know it seems like a joke answer but I’ve been impressed with most of her stuff this year. Especially with Mari and Hamada. She’s always consistant which you can’t say about a lot of the other luchadors

    2) Best Match: Mari vs Fabi from Triplemania

    3) Best Tecnico: Cibernetico.

    4) Best Rudo: Mr. Neibla. He seems to be one of the only rudos in CMLL. The rest of them like the Perros seem to play to the audience a lot.

    5) Best Female: Fabi for the reasons already mentioned

    6) Best Unit: Psycho Clowns

    7) Best Promotion/Territory: AAA. If CMLL just had Cadena Tres and not the Televisa show, I would pick them.

    8) Best Rivalry: Apache vs Apache.

    9) Most Improved: Kenzo Suzuki. He has been on fire this year.

    10) Most Underutilitzed: There are so many people you can put in this catagory, most of them are in AAA. For Selfish reasons, I would pick Sexy Star but I’m going to pick Aero Star. That guy should be on every show and in a feud with Jack Evans.

  9. 1) Best Wrestler-Valiente

    2) Best Match

    3) Best Tecnico-Mistico

    4) Best Rudo-Ultimo Guerrero or Sangre Azteca

    5) Best Female-Mari Apache

    6) Best Unit-Hart/Evans

    7) Best Promotion/Territory-CMLL

    8) Best Rivalry-Sangre Azteca vs. Grey Shadow

    9) Most Improved-Leono

    10) Most Underutilitzed-Misterioso

If someone can provide the link for the CMLL show that aired today on Televisa, that would be great. I missed the first 15 minutes. It was horrible. I could not believe that all they aired was the third fall of the main.

If you guys were in charge of editing CMLL, how would you have done today’s one-hour show?

  10. 1) Best Wrestler – La Sombra

    2) Best Match – Averno & Mephisto vs.Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero (CMLL Tag Team Title 02/01)

    3) Best Tecnico – Mistico

    4) Best Rudo – Averno

    5) Best Female

    6) Best Unit – Guerreros Del Atlantida

    7) Best Promotion/Territory – CMLL

    8) Best Rivalry – Garza / Aguayo

    9) Most Improved –

    10) Most Underutilitzed – Euforia

  11. Someone is really going to have to explain the love for the Atlantis/Guerrero vs Averno/Mephisto match. It was awful and only like 9 minutes of 45 aired on TV. Why are people voting for it? Is it one of those cases like matches from the 50’s where one historian claims it was a classic even though nobody ever got to see it and everyone just jumps on the bandwagon?

  12. @luchalibrelive!:

No. Julio Cesar Rivera, from C52Mx post with that name, Ernesto Ocampo, with that name, Adolfo Rivera (former GdR guy) does so but in elmartinete…

  13. It would be ok if they had a best exotico category I would pick yuriko cuz he is improving and is starting to shine.I vote for yuriko asmost improved

  14. Am I allowed to suggest Skayde/Pantera as Best Match, even though it took place is Massachusetts? :>

  15. @USAUSA1:

Yes CMLL is having a much better year than AAA.

I wish Glavision would start showing CMLL again. That way I could watch Mexican wrestling instead of garbage/shit wrestling taking place in Mexico.

Galavision could show AAA one day and CMLL the other instead of showing the same AAA episode twice.

  16. The mini matches is what separate the two workrate wise but even then it’s not a big difference. I think AAA main events is better matches. The Zorro/Mesias,Zorro/Cibernetico,Ciber/Mesias and other main events from the shows have been better than most CMLL main events or at least had more purpose.

But that’s just from a workrate standpoint. How about storylines, feuds, production, marketing, major shows? AAA/KFC deal was a great partnership, better than TNA/CMLL which doesn’t help CMLL in anyway.

Take all the big storylines and feuds you can remember on the spot and am sure most of them came from AAA.

  17. AAA is not having the best year but it’s still better than CMLL’s. I’ve been watching Cadena Tres a lot lately and the only things that impress me are the Mini’s, Marco and some of the mid card like Virus, Panther, Sombra and others. Yesterday’s CMLL show was just embarassing. Cadena Tres was better. Tell Me Daniel, Did you watch CMLL’s main show? If you say that one hour show was better than AAA’s, your fooling yourself.

Just look at Triplemania vs Jucio Final. Triplemania looked like a ppv while the CMLL show looked like a normal friday show with a cage match.

  18. Daniel is happy since he’s having his fix with Corleone, Koslov, Garza and Fabian while Latin, Intocable and Elegido are gone from AAA.

(Yeah, I know I’m tempting my luck by unleashing the fury of both D and Mark but I’m waaaay into my second six pack of the day to care… hehehe)

  19. I guess it would be in the same icelove or whatever account that had the AAAMania and CMLL PPV, but why would someone want to see that?

  20. @Tim: Mania may have looked like a PPV, but didn’t feel like it. Better lighting, and that’s it. CMLL delivers big masks and hair on their PPV’s while AAA just charges for a tv taping.

  21. Correct me if I’m wrong but AAA had a hair match on Triplemania right? And there would have been a big mask match if Abismo hadn’t screwed up again.

  22. That’s not a big hair match. Not PPV level anyway. You know that. Abismo fucked up, so now we can pretend AAA would’ve delivered the big mask match. I don’t believe it.

But I now believe Negro Casas will lose his hair to Mistico at 75 Anniversary. At least that is a possibility based on what’s happening.

See you at TNA in Orlando?

  23. Not PPV level? You think AAA would do Fabi/Mari Hair vs Hair on Free tv in Mexico? And even besides that, I can’t remember a match from CMLL’s ppv besides the cage match. But I can remember most of the matches from Triplemania.

And hell no i’m not going to TNA. Not after the piss poor show they had this past week. It’s not worth the 30 mile drive.

  24. What big match has CMLL delivered on PPV? Cage match played second or third fiddle to Wagner returning, which was the only thing of interest for the show, even Heavy Metal later said on TV that he didn’t mind losing his hair because it grows again anyways… Toscano lost and was not to seen again, Garza is there not doing much save wasting a spot someone like Sombra could use. Lizmark Jr lost his mask and nothing happened with him, same for Pantera and Black Warrior, they just had stip matches for the sake of them but had neither culminated any major storyline nor present anyone as a star, not even big turns have come out of them.

Negro Casas losing his hair to Mistico in the anniv? Well, now I know you really hate CMLL to suggest something that crappy.

  25. Just delivering masks like Black Warrior and Lizmark Jr., is big enough. Those masks are MUCH bigger than the hair of an Apache sister.

But I don’t know if CMLL will be able to continue to be able to give the fans a big hair or mask every year. Blue Panther, and Villano 4 seem to be next, although Ultimo Guerrero might beat Panther in a battle of Laguneros.

Perro Jr., vs. Mistico hair vs. mask? I don’t expect it any time soon. That’s why I think the sudden Negro Casas turn is to set up the September main vs. Mistico.

  26. @Rob: you of all people should know they’re not going to deliver the perro/mistico stip match yet. I’m going with Mistico vs. Negro Casas because I think CMLL would like Mistico in the main event and I don’t think Perro is losing his hair yet.

  27. I think CMLL decided on Mistico/Perrito at the start of the year and nothing is going to stop them from doing it.

  28. When was the last time Lizmark Jr. was on TV or even showed up at a CMLL event? I don’t see how him losing his mask means anything. Maybe if it was a couple years ago but no one cares about Lizmark Jr.

As for Casas/Mistico vs Perro/Mistico? I think it will be Casas/Mistico. I just don’t see Perro losing his hair anytime soon.

  29. How big was Villano 3 when he lost his mask to Atlantis? Way past his prime, by about ten years, and it was one of the biggest mask matches ever.

Lizmark Jr., was a big enough name to lose the mask at Anniversary show. And if Villano 4 loses it to Panther, that too is an acceptable main event.

  30. Villano III and Atlantis was more of a symbolism of Toreo finally accepting being beated by EMLL.

Good thing that you think that Villano 4 is losing his mask to Panther since the feud has been with Villano 5, so much for a big deal when these fatties are interchangeable.

  31. @ Tim, I actually do not think it is a joke answer, I think Fabi has come a long way.
