I don’t know if anyone’s going to agree with me, but the Hell Brothers vs Teddy and Jack was so much better than match last week. It felt like there was an actual story, and the Hell Brothers were content to sell a lot more than I would’ve expected.
I’m the opposite of excited for more Parka/Konnan. I guess it’s better than Konnan vs Octagon as representative as the “heart of AAA”, but I wish they could find another alternative (that used neither guy.)
All AAA departures are not the same; not going to miss Martha in the ring, for one. Totally not interested in Hermandad/FdT stuff, but that’s no surprise. The Vipers/Abismo stuff seems off the rails at this point, but they’re still doing video packages for the program so AAA must’ve not given up quite yet.

well, the hell brothers definitely sold the match better than they usually do. That says alot considering cibernetico can’t wrestle.
btw, long time lurker of your site. visit every day. :)
I cannot see why anyone would work Konnan as an active wrestler. As a manager yes, but as an active wrestler — no. He is not a value added wrestler anymore and adds no value to any show he is on.
@ Larry:
Konnan books AAA, that’s why. he books himself to wrestle. though each week he is getting better and he’s slowly starting to get back to what he was. he’s performing more moves now.
Konnan is still nowhere near good enough for me to tolerate him whenever he’s wrestling in the ring. He still gets my vote for worst wrestler this year.
That is exactly why people who book, or who are in power should not have influence over cards, who wrestles, or who is moved up or down, or who wrestles where on a show. Konnan and Triple H are good examples of wrestlers in power booking and influencing shows. Bad deal.
Yep, but Konnan is not AAA’s booker anyways…
@ xuisaw:
yes he is. he and Roldan book the wrestling, and Pena’s daughter handles the financial stuff. at least that’s what i was lead to believe. if that’s not correct than who handles the booking? b/c i know Nate Webb and he told me he was hired by Konnan and that’s who set up his match. and that was last year that he was down there, and i havent heard of anything changing, but if so please let me know who does book then? thanks.
But I think Konnan is a solid booker or at least a good influence. Some may disagree but I’ve seen worse(Vince Russo,Jeff Jarrett,).
Wrestlers booking is not always a bad idea, Dusty Rhodes and Jushin Liger booked some of the hottest products ever while they were still wrestling in their prime.
that’s very true. Raven was a great booker, and Vampiro did a decent job with WSX, especially considering the time constraints and limits that MTV placed on the promotion. Riki Choshu does a great job with Lock-Up too. not all wrestlers/bookers are bad.
Konnan SAYS his the booker to the observer, but watch the product, everything he said has not happened, he co-books part of the mid to high card, but Ciber and friends book the main events while Apache and Family control the undercard and rookies. That’s why Martha left, because only the Apache family was getting the spotlight.
@Bruce: I would guess Konnan’s the guy in charge of US talent – he’d know more about it, and he’d have the contacts to bring in a Nate Webb or a Jack Evans. Doesn’t prove anything else, doesn’t disprove anything else.
I tend to agree with what Chui has as the current arrangement, but wish I had much more definite knowledge of the situation. I’d presume guys like Vamp and Mesias have influence on what they’re doing as well.
It’s likely a situation where the inmates are running the asylum and everyone has control over everything they do. The final decision if there is a problem is whomever gets into Roldan’s ear first.
Which is nothing new for the way the business is ran here. If one can believe it, it is said that old Lutteroth didn’t even know that the matches were worked…
