AAA Munoz (WED) 07/02 Auditorio Miguel Barragan [El Sol de SL]
4) Joe Lider, Nicho el Millionario, X-Fly b Crazy Boy, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Gladiador
5) Alan Stone, Chessman, Cibernetico b Cuervo, Mesias, Ozz
The article neglects to mention who Mesias was teaming with, but I figure I’ve got better than a 50% shot (since Ozz seems to be his regular partner.)
AAA Global (WED) 07/02 Parque Revolucion, Culican [noroeste
1) Estrellita, Mascarita Sagrada 2007, Pimpinela Escarlata b Mari Apache, Mini Abismo Negro, Yuriko
2) Gronda II, La Parka Jr., Super Porky b Head Hunter I, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.
Recapper noted the main was a lot of show and little fight. That’s a good decision for that tecnico crew.
CMLL (FRI) 07/04 Arena Mexico
1) Angel de Oro & Hijo del Faraon vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Shockercito & Tzuki vs Pequeño Damian 666 & Pequeño Violencia
3) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Sagrado vs Rey Bucanero, Sangre Azteca, Último Guerrero
4) Volador Jr. vs Alex Koslov, La Máscara, Stuka Jr., Felino, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Ohara, Averno, Mephisto, Ephesto [Leyenda de Plata, cibernetico, semifinal]
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Héctor Garza, Místico vs Heavy Metal, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Ovaciones says Dr. Wagner is looking for revenge. ESTO asks will everyone just turn on Dr. Wagner tonight?.
I haven’t really given much though to the LdP this week, and it doesn’t seem to have generated much of buzz elsewhere. My instinct is you can divide up these participants like this
no chance: Stuka Jr. (happy to be here), Ohara, Ephesto
little chance: Alex (just too many ahead of him), Felino, Mephisto, La Mascara
decent chance: Volador Jr., Averno, Hijo del Perro Aguayo
Volador is not a tippy top guy, but he’s high enough to lose in the final. There’s not even a hint of a direction, nor word if Mistico would face the winner. Just because I assume that’s going to happen, I’m just going to assume they’re on schedule for the annual summer match between Mistico and Perro Jr. and advance him here.
(Reforma via Sick Mistico @ Box Y Lucha) Dos Caras Jr. didn’t get offered enough money to make it worthwhile, so he’s not going to WWE for the moment. The big news here is they had him wrestle his tryout match versus Snitsky. I can not even imagine.
ESTO called up Ultimo Guerrero, and asked him what’s the deal with that mask match in Leon with Dr. Wagner Jr.? UG says he did sign, and Wagner eventually did sign in front of the commissioner for the match, and he thinks it’ll either be in two weeks or the start of August. However, he could not rule out other people being added to the match – that’s out of his hands.
Rumor: Lady Apache back to AAA.
SoloWrestling lists a CMLL Tour of Spain for August, from the 14th to the 22nd. Atlatnis, Dos Caras Jr., Volador Jr., Euforia and Metalik are scheduled. Mistico originally was on the schedule, but is going to the Olympics to commentate on swimming and gymnastics instead. Which is very strange, but they’re running another tour in October that’s supposed to include him. It’s not yet clear how many guys are going in total.
(Reforma via Jazzo) Angel de Oro talks about his debut in Arena Mexico tonight. He’s 19, confirmed as another Ultimo Guerrero invite and training in Satanico’s class.
In a press conference for tonight’s show in Tijuana, Damian 666 was surprised to find out he was scheduled for a cage match. That’s fantastic. There’s nothing on the line in the Shocker/Marco/Scorpio vs Damian/Terrible/Texano match, so he probably feels a bit safer.
