a caveranaria in a CMLL singles match – what are the odds!
CMLL (SUN) 06/01 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [cmll]
1) Virgo b Ebola
2) Goddess & Silueta b Atenea & Medussa
3) Danger (Guadalajara), Depredador (Gudalajara), Exterminador b Idolo, Lider, Nube Roja
4) Fire & Pequeno Universo 2000 b Mini Maximo & Tzuki
5) Misterioso II, Mr. Trueno, Rey Bucanero DQ Gallo, Metal Blanco, Stuka Jr.
6) Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, Shocker b Mephisto, Mr. Águila, Toscano
Fire snuck in a foul on Mini Maximo, setting up their singles match. Misterioso yanked his own mask to get Gallo DQed.
CMLL (SUN) 06/01 Arena Coliseo [cmll]
1) Starman & Trueno b Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) Dark Angel, Luna Mágica, Marcela b Amapola, Medussa, Princesa Sujei
3) Felino, Leono, Súper Nova DQ Arkangel de la Muerte, Diamante Negro Jr., Virus
4) Ephesto, Olímpico, Sangre Azteca b Grey Shadow, La Máscara, Sagrado
5) Dos Caras Jr., LA Park, Negro Casas b Black Warrior, Rey Bucanero, Universo 2000
According to the recap, Sangre hates Grey Shadow because he a citizen of the United States (with mysterious unspecified Latin heritage.) I hope that doesn’t mean Sangre Azteca hates the rest of us. Tecnicos won the tercera in straight falls, the last when Virus went nuts and fouled Felino. Recap says Leono is back with a new look, which apparently means “he’s wearing shorts.”
CMLL (MON) 06/02 Arena Puebla [KrisZ]
1) King Jaguar, SWAT, Toro Bill Jr. b Aguila Guerrera, Ares, Espiritu Maligno
2) Karsima, Negro Navarro, Policeman b Centella de Oro, el Tigre, Toro Bill
3) Stuka Jr. b Nosferatu, Flash, Máscara Púrpura, Máximo, Súper Nova, Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Euforia, Hooligan [cibernetico]
4) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero DQ el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Terrible, Toro Irisson
5) La Sombra b Mephisto [NWA WELTER]
The semimain was supposed to be Guerreros vs Perros. Texano didn’t make it for whateve reason, and his replacement was strangely Toro Irrison (IWRG’s Enterrador’s 2000, the Animal in AAA), wrestling wearing a Perros shirt. hugo999 posted pictures. I wonder if this means Irrison is working another gimmick here or with CMLL generally – he can’t have just been hanging around Arena Puebla. Ovaciones says this was a one time thing and Toro shouldn’t be considred part of the group. Perro fouled Atlantis for the DQ.
CMLL (TUE) 06/03 Arena Mexico [cmll]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II b Artillero & Zayco
2) Flash, Metalik, Súper Nova b Arkangel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Nitro
3) Axxel, Fabián el Gitano, Máximo b Diamante Negro, Euforia, Nosferatu
4) Grey Shadow, Heavy Metal, Héctor Garza b Black Warrior, Olimpico, Sangre Azteca
5) Blue Panther b Último Guerrero
Olimpico replaced Hijo de Lizmark. In the tercera, Fabian evaded a foul, yanked Diamante’s mask, and cradled him for the win.
Blue Panther is not requesting, he’s demanding a mask match with Ultimo Guerrero. That’d actually be a good anniversary match. While he’s asking for things, he’d also like Atlantis and Villano V’s mask. Panther credits his experience with beating the youth of Ultimo Guerrero (who’s 36.)
Ultimo GuerreroOvaciones‘s main story is Heavy Metal talking up the cage match and his desire to take Perro Jr.’s hair. It’s good to dream.
Texano Jr. talks about the cage match with el Sol de Cuautla. He’d like to feud with Alex Koslov.
(Reforma via KrisZ) Universo 2000 is happy to be working with CMLL after being gone for a couple months, but is disappointed they’re teaming with Olimpico instead of one of the Junior Capos (who seem to work with Sabto enough that they’d be banned.) Universo confirms he and his brother are independent wrestlers – they haven’t been booked like CMLL regulars in some time.
Also, the Villanos complain they should still be UWA Tag Team champions, though they haven’t gotten around to calling Carlos Maynes and asking him what’s up (with declaring Animal and Kensuske Sasaki the offical champs) which tells me I shouldn’t care too much.
CMLL (MON) 06/09 Arena Puebla
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II vs Pólvora & Vaquero
2) Coco Rojo, Coco Verde, Cocolores vs Artillero, Súper Comando, Zigma
3) Axxel, Centella de Oro, Stuka Jr. vs Ohara, Policeman, Shigeo Okumura
4) Blue Panther, Heavy Metal, Shocker vs Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V
5) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Terrible, Texano Jr. vs Atlantis, Black Warrior, Lizmark Jr.
Almost no local Puebla wrestlers – I don’t recall ever seeing CMLL sending this many wrestlers here.
AAA LANDA (SAT) 06/21 Coatepec, Xalapa
1) La Aventura, La Bugambilia, Sexy Pasion vs Pegasso Star, Ppseidon, Ricky Estrada
2) Fabi Apache vs Ayako Hamada
3) Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul, Coco Rojo vs Killer Clown, Psycho Clown, Zombie
4) Alan Stone, Black Pack, Corazon Salavje vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
The local promoter here is Tirantes. He hasn’t been on screen since sometime last year, but you had to figure he was doing stuff behind the scenes and this would seem to be one of those things.
I like how the article says “All the lucha fans in the region should wait a few weeks to see the best wrestlers in the country”, which must mean there’s a CMLL show going on before hand. Tirantes says the local city council is friends with CMLL, so they’ve tried to make it hard for AAA to run locally.
The clowns are promoted here as the original AAA Payasos, but that’s something that’s very easy to say. Fabi Apache is mentioned as defending her world championship – I presume someone just wrote Fabi won Reina de Reinas and the author extrapolated that in to something different.
