06/13 Arena Mexico (Jucio Final) Lineup

CMLL (FRI) 06/13 Arena Mexico [Notimex]
1) Flash, Máscara Púrpura, Stuka Jr. vs Arkangel de la Muerte, Loco Max, Skandalo
2) Hijo del Fantasma, Máximo, Sagrado vs Misterioso II, Olímpico, Sangre Azteca
3) Dr. Wagner Jr., Héctor Garza, La Sombra vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
4) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Místico vs ?, ??, ??? [CMLL TRIOS]
5) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo vs Damián 666, Mr. Águila, Terrible, Texano Jr., Shocker, Marco Corelone, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas, Alex Koslov [cage, hair]

Not exactly the biggest match for Dr. Wagner’s return. No sign of any special match for Atlantis – he’s a sure bet for winning the trios tournament. Ovaciones says Atlantis’ tribute is pushed off to 07/11. Guerreros are definite favorites to make it to the finals and win the whole thing.

I wonder if they’re going to explain why Averno & Mephisto are teaming with Ephesto again sometime in the next ten days, or if we’re just supposed to pretend it never happened.

I don’t think it’s a killer card. With no big secondary match (this trios tournament doesn’t count), it’s about the same level as TripleMania.

  1. I’ve saw worse but it does kinda suck, especially since all the matches will probably go at least 15-20 minutes due to only having 5 bouts. The opener is especially disappointing as a rudo trio of say Euforia/Nosferatu/Virus, would have made for a match that we’d all be rabid for.

There’s no way that Maximo and Skandalo’s family connections should be able get them onto a big card ahead of countless more talented guys

I’d have been much more positive about it if they’d thrown a minis match in there, something like Tzuki/Dorada/Dragoncito V Damiancito/Pequeno Halloween/Pierrotito

Pretty average overall. Nothing that looks too exciting, but at least there’s no women :)

Has Olimpico ever missed a big show/PPV card??! It feels like he’s always booked in them and he’s downright awful.

  2. Maybe its just me, but metal sticks out like a sore thumb in that cage match. While Texano, Damian, Terrible, or Koslov would certainly make sense to lose this match, the fact that Toscano has been off cards and is rumored as “fired” again, makes me think Metal was originally planned to drop the hair a few weeks ago, and that he will drop it here as a “make good” on that payday.
I dunno, if I was an “ArenaMex fan”, I would be scratching my head about why the hell Metal would be putting it up again so damn soon. Especially if the last two in the cage are anyone but Metal + Perrito. And, if they are the last two, that is kind of a waste of a decent 1-on-1 stip match for a semi-big card, that was started to be setup by the three way hair match…….
