Remember when this was supposed to be an all masked man match? CMLL would like you to forget that now.
The run of the mill tecnicos vs Perros match from Friday is being spun out into a cage match three weeks ago.
In the cage so far
– Damian 666
– Terrible
– Texano Jr.
– Alex Koslov
– Negro Casas
– Perro Aguayo Jr.
– Heavy Metal
Blue Panther is NOT in the cage, because this is a hair only deal (so far) and whatever plan there was for him and V5 seems to have been lost. Perro and Heavy were not in the cage match but we’re pretending they still have issues from Friday.
They’re one tecnico short – Marco? Shocker? Hector? Mistico? (Yea, probably Mistico.)
Damian would appear to the most likely rudo to lose, and probably Negro for the tecnicos.

Villano V vs. Panther would be the main event for Anniversary 75. It’s a big match, and CMLL needs a big match, not eight man for 75.
I still see Mistico taking Perrito’s hair being the September main event and they don’t need Panther vs Villano on that undercard if they run that main event. I think we’re doomed to wait till next March for Panther/Villano if it happens at all.
Shocker/Bucanero threw out hair challenges last Friday but considering CMLL seems to have booked this at the last second, perhaps they just realized Bucanero can’t be in it if his team is going to the finals of the trios tournament. Buca/Guerrero/Toscano vs Mistico/Blue/Dos Jr.?
I’m actually looking forward to Bucanero vs. Shocker in the future.
Shocker will lose his hair within the next two years, and it should be a big deal.
I’m going with an old-timer losing at 75 in Sept because CMLL is such a traditional group.
Lucha all over the news with weekend.
Blue Demon was involved in the “Lucha Contra Caner” race. +Deporte covered both CMLL and WWE shows. Accion also listed WWE in the top 10.
In Zellner’s photo on DeathValley showing Tarzan, there were empty seats at ArMex.
Yeah but that was post-show so the building had pretty much emptied out.
The new SuperLuchas has a great shot of Metal/Toscano shaking hands pre-match and you can see 3 large sections up top that are completely empty so you have to assume there were more empty seats out of the picture as well.
But the crowd should have been good enough for CMLL to put Aguayo in a stip match once again (maybe it is true that WWE did 10,000-with some 2×1- and that was enough for them)
CMLL puts shows 3 weeks before they take place, no use in speculating what’s going on at the 75 anniversary show till late August.
