No Tuesday CMLL DF results, because that show is tonight as the annual Kid’s Day show. Even though Kid’s Day falls on a Wednesday, there’s a lot of smaller shows around the country this afternoon and tonight, as this very general article on Kid’s Day notes. This weekend seems busier for small show as well, and the Lucha Libre Expo is starting up as well.
Ovaciones previews tonight’s Arena Mexico by focusing on all the second generation wrestlers. (For some reason, they’re not allowed to mention who Mistico’s father is, just saying ‘a good wrestler.’ I guess no one can remember what his back story is this week.) In Reforma (via Jazzo), La Mascara promises the title match will be a spectacle. That’s the hope, anyway.
CMLL (MON) 04/28 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) Blue Center & Centella de Oro b Espiritu Maligno & Zigma
2) Cerebro Negro, Flecha, Kraken b Fuerza Chicana, Furia Chicana, Policeman
3) Goddess, Luna Mágica, Marcela b Amapola, Hiroka, Medussa
4) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Volador Jr. b Terrible, Texano Jr., Villano V
5) Héctor Garza, Místico, Shocker b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Not sure about the main event. Panther yanked V5’s mask in the semimain. Marcela beat Amapola in the women’s match and challenged for another title match. Policeman bled a bunch in the segunda.
Arturo Rivera’s column is all about Sunday’s taping. ESTO has delayed results from that show as well. AAA tapes it second show in four days tonight in Aguascalientes.
ESTO is also late to the party on Wagner’s march. The more I think about it, the less Wagner makes any sense (besides the self promotioning sense.) He’s claiming to stand up for the right to say whatever he wants, but he’s also apologizing if he offended CMLL by what he said? Pick a side.
(Jazzo via Reforma) At the lucha libre expo on Saturday, CMLL will honor Ringo Mendoza, Blue Panther, Atlantis and Damian 666. Ringo’s hit 40 years of being a wrestler (though he hasn’t been wrestling much in a while), Panther is at 30, and Atlantis adn Damian are 25 years in. Ringo says he’s planning a farewell tour for this September, but he doesn’t want to call it a retirement tour because he’ll continue training young wrestlers for CMLL. CMLL will also be spotlight it’s “Class of 75”, young wrestlers who are representing the company (mentioned are Stuka Jr., Flash, Metalico, Bronco III and other high flyers – I think they spent 3 seconds thinking this out so I will too.)
Atlantis is thrilled Pierroth chose him to be involved in Pierroth’s retirement match. He also gives credit to Pierroth for being able to walk away on his own. It seems more there’s a slight push going on to get him to walk away, but I’m willing to pretend whatever to the result.
The lineups for next month’s WWE cards have changed. There’s still three weeks, so they’ll change again.
Notiver posts about the 05/02 AAA TV taping in Veracruz. Nothing new to report, except they’re running Auditorio Carlos Serdan Arechavaleta, which I should’ve guessed.
CMLL SPARTAN (TUE) 04/29 Auditorio Municipal de Tampico [El Dentista, Dinamita @ box y lucha]

4) Brazo de Platino, Máximo, Oro Negro b Loco Max, Nitro, Sadico
5) Místico & Sagrado b Averno & Mephisto
Brazo de Platino turned on his partners for no reason, but the tecnicos still won. Minis match was very well received.
