This is like only the third most Comcast news of this install so far.

#1: Comcast Guy saying “I’ll be right back when that gets finished loading, I’ve got some paperwork to finish in my truck” and then LEAVING. Aces!

  2. Here in central New Jersey, Comcast pulled Can52 from the regular digital lineup about 6 weeks ago. They made it part of a spanish language package of channels you have to pay extra for. I feel your pain.

  3. If they don’t offer Can52 on their system, you’re probably better off switching to another cable or satellite provider.

  4. The problem is Cubs is probably in my situation where Comcast handles everything he has in a package which makes it cheaper. I have Rogers for my cable, phone and internet. I hate their internet service but it’s much cheaper to just stick with them since I get a bundle discount rather than find a new internet provider and pay more for my cable and phone.

  5. Not sure if I was just late tuning in but the third fall of the tercera just finished on CMLL TV. Might have aired JIP or in full…

  6. No, I’m only stuck because I can’t get cable cards from my TiVo from a satellite company and there’s no other cable company servicing my address.

  7. So Comcast just dropped it completely or just moved it to the specialty channels you have to pay for?

  8. Dropped it entirely. I’d pay to see it, but when I wasn’t looking, it was replaced by mun2 on my system. (mun2 is an NBC station, so I wonder if Comcast is just getting a much better deal on picking up the station.)

    I’m now I’m paying something like $13 a month just to watch the FSE show. Which is iffy at best. I wish they’d just also carry FSE in the Sports Tier because at least there’d be other channels I’d watch.

    Hey look, it’s the second time today Comcast hasn’t called me back in four hours like the promised. I’m so shocked.

    (I’m not going to the Cicero show. If I’m going to sit around angry and hating the world, I might as well do it at home and not inflict it on people and have Cicero be inflicted on me. Maybe tomorrow’s show instead.)

  9. Boooooooooooooooooo. I guess the search is on for someone who will be taping the shows although to be honest I don’t think I’ve come across anyone who gets Canal 52MX. Keith – what other providers carry it in the U.S. now?

    4 exceptional customer service and tight security, i would suggest Shaw (shaw.ca), but i don’t think it services the chicago (?) area. (never know though — might be worth a try…)

  11. Meltzer gets Can 52, but he doesn’t trade. He also said some station in San Fran is showing IWRG.

  12. Can52,FSE and Galavision never been part of regular digital cable where I live on Comcast. You have to buy the spanish package.

    Comcast is getting crazy though.

  13. I think that IWRG airing in San Francisco is just repeats of the stuff that aired earlier in the year.

    Perhaps some of us should write to Meltzer asking him to put a mention in the daily WON that some of us are looking for Canal52MX providers since I’ve seen him run requests like that before.
