03/11: Cuatro Caminos, Wagner sad, Mistico talking to TNA? (also sad)

AAA (MON) 03/10 Arena Cuarto Caminos [RFC]
1) Black Mamba & Penumbra b Ahijdao de Oro & Black Fenix
2) Estrellita & Fabi Apache b Mari Apache & Rossy Moreno
3) El Brazo, Iron, Street Boy b Lord Byron, Rio Bravo, Tito Santana II
4) Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz b Insolito, Principe Diamante, Sangre Chicana
5) El Elegido, Hombre sin Miedo, La Parka Jr. b Antifaz del Norte, Electro Shock, Zorro

Somehow, Parka wrestled here but Laredo Kid missed the show.

CMLL.com says they’ll be bringing back legends on Fridays and Sundays to lead up to the 75th Anniversary. (Oh no, Rayo.)

Actual headline: Dr. Wagner is sad. :( He’s sad not to be on Dos Leyendas, and he’s got no real idea why CMLL pulled him. Wagner does mention he’s still on good terms with CMLL.

(WrestlingObserver via 411Mania) Mistico contacted TNA about getting booked there, in between his CMLL bookings. I wonder if Mistico actually can do this, if CMLL will actually let him do this when it comes time to happen. This is clearly not worth investing much thought until he actually appears in the ring, because we’ve been here before.

WAGNER (SAT) 03/08 Plaza de Toros Torreon [el siglo de torreon]
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Héctor Garza b el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park

The four way turned into a tag match, I dunno. The article is less about the match and the show, and more a take down piece on the referee, Chabelo, for letting these guys brawl all around the arena and not exerted any authority on them. In his defense, Wagner and Park (and probably the other two) have done the same brawls everywhere from Arena Mexico to Chicago and no referee has managed to contain them. The article says the local commission may end up sanctioning the referee.

(Reforma via Jazzo) Amapola plans on beating Marcela to become a double champion, taking Dark Angel’s hair and then going back to Monterrey to take Diana’s hair again. Well, why not. Amapola also says she’s on another level, which seems familiar. Meanwhile, Maximo wants to take Sangre Azteca’s mask and Averno’s CMLL Middlweight Title. I don’t like his odds as much.

Noticas Oaxaca has long bios of Anima I and Anima II.

Ultimo Gladiador told TerceraCaida he’d like to retire from lucha extreme matches. Probably should’ve joined a different faction.

03/10 Arena Puebla Results (¡new tag champs!)

CMLL (MON) 03/10 Arena Puebla
1) Asturiano, Super Star, SWAT b Espiritu Maligno, Furia Chicana, Karisma
2) Batman, the Tiger, Tigre Rojo b Flecha, Negro Navarro, Policeman
3) Ohara, Shigeo Okumura, Virus b Flash, Máscara Púrpura, Stuka Jr.
4) Atlantis, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero b Blue Panther, Grey Shadow, Negro Casas
5) Héctor Garza & Místico b Averno & Mephisto [CMLL TAG]

Mistico got Averno in the third fall. Referee Rodolfo Ruiz, suspiciously seemingly always scheduled to work his son’s big matches, got distracted checking on him and missed Mephisto fouling Mistico. While Ruiz was still looking the wrong way, Hector fouled Mephsito in revenge, and moonsaulted him to win the titles.

Averno & Mephisto were champions for only 40 days. This is Mistico’s 3rd title reign, and he’s now back to being a four belt champion. Hector Garza has never won the tag team titles before, and is actually a three belt champion (CMLL Trios, WWA Tag – both up in the air due to his turn.)

Now we know what the tag title match got pulled from the PPV. Also, Chui’s point about life getting worse once you join the Perros gets proved again.
