Not much news from what we didn’t already know. Nice to see the minis get on there, and I hope the feuding mini rudo factions have put aside their differences. (Did we ever find out what went down in Neza? I don’t think so.) There’s other matches in the undercard which could be good if things break right, but no sure bets.

I’m already reading way too much into Dark Angel being on the card and Amapola not, as far as what it means to Sunday’s title match.

  1. The card is totally expected.

    Minis match… check.

    Womens match… check.

Random midcard match featuring 2 out of the 3 nationals trios champs… check

3rd national trios champ in another random match, once again begging the question “why couldn’t they have put them in together and gave us a title defence?”…check

A shitty Perro B team bringing an otherwise inevitably promising match down…. check (you’d think CMLL had a lack of awesome rudos or soemthing)

Obviously it goes without saying i’m disappointed that no lowercarders get a look in, especially after that awesome, awesome opener at the last PPV which the women have no hope in hell of even being 1/10th as good as. But… the one thing i was interested in finding out was who would get the higher spot between the minis and the women. I thought it would be the women, but the mini’s being promoted to segunda is a pleasant surprise, even if it won’t make any difference.

And how out of place does Romero look in that tercera? Even if they weren’t going to put Volador in and run a title match, that spot sooooooo belongs to Valiente.

But A-team minis…AND PIERROTITO!!~….. at Arena Mex… on PPV; This is going to be a blowaway match! :)

Overall it’s typical midcard CMLL randomness, but it’s decent enough – i’ve saw worse. Just a shame about the opener as the card would have been beyond awesome with something like Valiente, Stuka, Neutron V Virus, Nosferatu, Euforia.

  2. Mini’s were expected? You obviously have much more faith in the promotion that me since I expected women to open and a mess of midcard matches featuring top guys. Color me pleasantly surprised.

It looks like a decent enough card with the usual random matches thrown together by the inept staff.

Women will be the women. A solid match like usual. Them being in the opener instead of the mini’s is absolutely shocking and makes quite the difference b/c they’ve never aired the PPV openers when it comes to free TV but have shown the segundas before.

Mini’s will be off the charts. I guarantee you there will be no two fall angle here, it’ll be balls out everyone trying to impress. Keeping Dorada and Tzuki together is genius. They are the best tag team in the world right now.

What can you say about the tercera? Makes no sense to split the champs up but at this point we’ve got to accept that nobody in the (Arena Mex) booking department remembers they are still champs. It’s fantastic that Rey Bucanero turned right before Garza so his turn got completely overshadowed and he’s now working even lower than he was as a tecnico.

Fourth match is a waste of everyone’s time unless Volador Jr. and Aguila go nuts.

Semi-main will be great and something will come out of it, whether it be an Atlantis teased tecnico turn or the setup for the tag title rematch the following week. I’m interested to see Mistico and Parka work spots with each other.

Main will be… heated. Garza is going down and it won’t be clean so all that needs to be decided is low blow finish or distraction via interference. As of right now I’m going with a ringside distraction and a low blow while the ref isn’t looking. Hopefully they bust out the blade for this one.

  3. IF Aguayo is ever gonna win a stip match without a screw ending, is this one. If Garza doesn’t job to him clean, no one will. The problem would be that Garza will never get nothing out of it, I doubt CMLL will let them have a mano a mano and Garza winning it even with cheating.
