02/16: quick notes

There are results that we’ll catch up tomorrow. I’ve got 4 GdR/FSE recaps done that’ll get posted as well, eventually, plus this weekend’s AAA and tonight’s FSE once I get to ’em. I think I’ve fixed all the problems with entries giving errors, and I’ll be looking for other issues as I can.

Arturo Rivera‘s column says Grey Shadow has not been getting along with others. He also says Mr. Niebla is bigger with the ladies than Alex Koslov or Marco Corelone, so I don’t know if I can trust the man.

Ovaciones confirms Hector Garza is going tecnico, not lone wolf rudo. I don’t think that’s a surprise. They say the Perro/Hector break reminds them of the Solitario/Angel Blanco split and note that ended up in mask match.

IWRG’s added Multifacetico vs Kalmari in mask vs hair match to today’s show.

Accion’s CMLL highlights were off the main event. Averno & Mephisto wore their new Perros t-shirt thru the match to drive the point home, and Perro destroyed Mistico’s mask in one grab. AAA’s clips was from the minis match. Odder, Mascarita de la Muerte seemed to be in all the highlights, not that there was a big reason for it. They did show Mini Chessman’s turn at the end, not that there was a reason for it.

DeporTV went two hours with no highlights. I think I’m done bothering with that show.

Decnnis and Scorpio Jr. appeared to be the least likely winners of the opener, so they won. It appears to be “first TEAM to escape” rules. It sounds as though Charly and Chessman had a chance to win the match, but didn’t care (again) and sticked around to beat up Halloween and Tiger. Cibernetico joined in after the match, causing Familia de Tijuana to be strechered out. Perhaps Nicho had a point.

Cibernetico did a speech earlier, which could be distilled to “I’m coming back” and “I’m still feuding with Mesias.” Yay?

Zorro won clean, AGAIN, this time over Intocable. Psycho Clowns are now listed as 40 wins (some double shots this week?) but surely have to worry about being eclipsed.

Abismo Negro and Mr. Niebla’s chain match was a bloody mask ripping affair. Abismo won this time as well, but Prez Roldan one again intruded. This time, he didn’t suggest having another match next week, he just declared Mr. Niebla the leader of the match despite losing. There’s clearly something not getting across here, because this sounds like the dumbest angle ever with everyone looking worse for being involved. Abismo may be joining the Foreign Legion now.

After Fabi won the opener, pinning Mari despite Gran Apache’s interference, Billy Boy brought out flowers and a mariachi band to win her back because of their recent issues. Fabi slapped him, so I guess Billy needs a better idea. Not sure why Billy didn’t end up wrestling in the segunda. Espiritu did appear, distracting the referee to set up the finish.

CMLL FSE #75

taped 01/06, aired 02/08 (Friday)

There were mentions of Black Warrior not getting along well with Grey Shadow in their matches. It may just be a coincidence, but he seemed to have issues with La Mascara at the end of this match too.

Maximo screwing around with Sangre Azteca was the best part of the show. Main event was usual Perros stuff.
