WOUNDED: Atlantis (hurt in the second fall, left the dressing room on his own feet), Mascara Purpura (no details)

Wagner beat Atlantis with the Atlantida in the first fall of the main event. Rudos took the second, tecnicos used the numbers to take the third.

Tecnicos took the semimain in straight falls, including Sangre getting caught fouling Heavy Metal in the second.

In other Reforma articles, Alex Koslov desperately wants a title rematch with Averno this year, while Misterioso is less particular about who he fights, as long as he fights for a title.

6) Alex Koslov & Tony Rivera vs Malefico & Texano
7) Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Black Warrior [UWA HEAVY]

CMLL actually lists this as “IWA”, but I hope that’s a typo.

AAA’s preview for this weekend’s taping promises there will be blood between Abismo Negro and Mr. Niebla. Ovaciones is having a contest for tickets to this show – mail farosas@ova.com.mx with the names Antonio Pena used before becoming a promoter. You’ve got to be able to pick up the tickets on Friday from the Ovaciones office.

El Hijo del Santo going to Santo’s statue got covered in a few places, including Ovaciones, ESTO (in a photo gallery),

Arturo Rivera‘s column mentions Nicho is now the local AAA promoter in Tijuana. (I think I read an article that said he was one half of the local promoter, but close enough.)

AAA (THU) 02/21 Gimnasio del Estadio Carlos Serdan Arechavaleta
1) Apolo, Matematico Jr., Sangre y Fuego vs Black Baby, El Hijo del Buitre, Matrix (Veracruz)
2) Celestial (Veracruz), El Alebrije, El Elegido vs Electro Shock, Monsther, Violencia (Veracruz)
3) Charly Manson, Chessman, La Parka Jr. vs Abismo Negro, Psicosis II, Zorro

I believe that’s a local Violencia and not the ex-CMLL guy.

DeporTV actually didn’t self delete this week, so I can tell you that no lucha aired. This is a couple weeks in a row, so I wonder if they might be done on that show.

Guerreros del Ring #125 has Xtreme Tiger on the cover.

As part of it’s Solar month, el Martiente is interviewing Solar I himself and taking questions from their board.

  1. “Psicosis one-half the promoter in Tijuana”

Read that- He has a money mark. Robert is right. It’s 1996 all over again when Konnan had one of his guys in charge of the TJ territory.

  2. Judging from the photos of Coliseo DF this past Sunday, they didn’t come close to a sellout. Ringside and 1 level are completely sold out which is good, but they should’ve done better.

CMLL should also remove that ugly chicken wire from the first level at Coliseo. I think the days of fans pelting the ring with garbarge are over.

  3. It would appear that Purpura’s injury came from Virus’ Kudo Driver move right at the end of the match so it shouldn’t screw things up too bad. Aside from Purpura’s neck that is. Looks like he took the move in a very dangerous way.

Cadena Tres bottom two matches look like winners from the photos!
