CMLL FSE GdR - 04/15/07 (#36)
Recapped: 04/22/07

Mr. Aguila and Damian do the pre-match promo. Highlight is Damian calling his opponent Minimo. Stuka Jr. joins the announcers in-ring, just to make it clear that he's going to challenge for a mask match tonight, and he's assured of winning it next week.

Match 1: Dr. X, Jeque, Loco Max (c) vs Leono, Stuka Jr., Virus (c)
Arena Coliseo, 04/08/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. tecnicos

Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 6:32
Approx Rating: Set up next week fine.
Other Match Notes: Both Jeque and Stuka do promos re: mask match. Odd they're not captains. Jeque enters first for the rudos at attacks Stuka, which starts a beatdown.

1: Jeque goes after Stuka's mask while the others run interference, and that's pretty much all going on here. Stuka could've been covered after Jeque clotheslined him, and looks like he was, but the referees ignored it for whatever reason. Jeque shows off his hammerlock face first slam skills, and then gets Stuka in a Rosa. Jeque gets a submission, and holds on a bit - I've seen worse, but apparently this was too much for the refs, who DQ Jeque. I don't have that even being a five count. Jeque ends up ripping Stuka's mask off entirely. I guess, why not. Replays show the refs interceded at the three count, and it was a fast three at that.

2: Of course, the rudos keep on beating the tecnicos. If they're smart, they win this fall quick and have it be a three fall beatdown, with the tecnicos coming back finally in the third. Virus gets worked over a little, Leono gets held in the corner so Dr. X can do Sangre's low blow dropkick. Stuka rushes from the back with a new mask and starts the comeback. The people who aren't feuding for head outside while Stuka gets a bit of ripping revenge on the inside. Jeque's mask is cut up good. He tries to roll out for safety, but Stuka follows him out, runs him into the apron, brings him inside to beat more, and eventually gets him with an Asai Moonsault. Leono gets a brief run on Loco max before a single rotation tornillo pescado. Virus hangs Dr. X in the ropes and gets his pinball clothesline on him, but Jeque returns to break up a submission time. Stuka comes in to face him, and drops him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Again! A third time? No, Jeque just cranks him with a low blow kick. That'll end it.

Jeque decides he might as well take this mask too, and Stuka's on the mat covering his face yet again. They agree on the mask/mask match.

Interview: They've got some time to fill here, what with no third fall in the last match, so we get a conversation with Valiente, explaining how he does that double springboard moonsault. Good that they didn't show this on the show he blew it,

Match 2: Damian 666, Halloween, Mr. Aguila (c) vs Maximo, Satanico (c), Tigre Metalico
Arena Coliseo, 04/08/07

  1. tecnicos
  2. Perros
  3. Perros

Winner: Perros (2-1)
Match Time: 10:08
Approx Rating: Eh.
Other Match Notes: Maximo comes out with the valets - as if he's one of them. He gets shovey when one tries to steal his spotlight. Tigre Metalico is quite the random entrant - he's here for Metal, who probably should've shown on the week they were profiling him! - and has quite the random music. Satanico does the pre-match promo. Halloween's goatee makes him look even more scummier than usual - he does the promo for his side. They cut out Halloween's introductions, if he did them here. I didn't see the captains graphics either.

1: An opening Halloween/Satanico bit seems excised as well - they're leaving, Tigre and Aguila are starting. Aguila wrestles and takes armdrags while wearing a visor. Damian demands to face Maximo. They start, but Maximo 'accidentally' elbows Halloween, so Halloween comes in to chop him (and Maximo yelps.) This is going to be a goofiness contest, ain't it? Damian and Halloween do the kiss bit, and Maximo get sto call someone else gay. What a proud moment. Halloween's set up for a Tigre Metalico tope. Maximo butt bumps Damian out, and Satanico gets in an apron dive elbow drop. Maximo uses the butt and an reverse tope to get Aguila, and that's fall.

After replays, we find Halloween sitting in the front row, between two women, with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in his mouth. This seems about right. While Halloween decides to hug all the women he can find, it's time for a break.

2: Damián/Maximo features Maximo skipping over drop downs. He gets Aguila with a springboard armdrags, but then Halloween opts just to spear him before any more can be done. Maximo is out, and when Satanico argues with Halloween about it, the rudos decide it's beatdown time.

Interview: Artillero. Artillero?!? We get a 6 second clip of CMLL's Infantry giving Tigre Metalico a 3D as Artillero talks off camera. I was wondering why someone around here wasn't using that, but I guess I wasn't looking hard enough.

3: We apparently missed the comeback, because it's 1 on 1 with everyone back on the aprons as we return. Damian and Satanico start, an Damián actually out punches and kicks Satanico, sending him out. Satanico grabs Damian's hair from the outside, Aguila comes over to help, so Satanico grabs him by the hair as well and pulls them both out. Satanico lays out Aguila, and Damian runs for his life before he's next. Aguila/Metalico. Aguila lost his visor, but is wearing a headband. He only takes a headscissors before being sent out. Same for Damian. Halloween tells Tigre to stop, and then cranks him with a wheel kick. Damian kicks Tiger when he puts his head down too soon, goes the ropes, and falls thru them. I think he did it on purpose, but no one was holding the ropes open on that side - very odd. This directly sets up apron spots with Tigre, which don' go much. Damian/Satanico again, Satanico out brawling Damian. Satanico goes for the figure four pin, but Aguila breaks that up with a kick. Maximo gets him with a back elbow and goes after the hair. Halloween and Damian grab him, but Maximo fights off corner charges with back elbows. They try again, and Maximo uses his butt as a weapon - but they spank him and team up with Aguila to do a double powerbomb, Thesz Press. Damian covers to eliminate him. They set up a bit where Tigre is whipped and boosted up into the path of a Halloween middle rope spear, but Tigre bails out on the move, ducking back to evade actually getting hit, and Halloween just sorta falls on top of him. Very not good.

Perros get to talk and say the usual. Maximo looks bored.

That's it. Total Match Time: 16:40
