12/14: Mexico preview, notes

CMLL (FRI) 12/14 Arena Mexico
1) Sensei & Tigre Blanco vs Calígula & Méssala
2) Atomo, Mascarita Dorada, Tzuki vs Pequeño Black Warrior, Pequeño Damian 666, Pierrothito
3) Felino, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas vs Averno, Mephisto, Satánico
4) Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero vs Atlantis, Lizmark Jr., Último Guerrero
5) LA Park, Místico, Shocker vs , Héctor Garza, Mr. Águila
La Park’s revenge talk makes ESTO today as the main story of the show. Notimex hypes the return of Wagner. Ovaciones wonders if Wagner and Park will cross paths.

Atlantis’ new direct to video movie debuts before the wrestling tonight. Loco Max has a part in the movie.

ESTO writes about Mistico and Perro’s injuries. Nothing new about Perro, but they’re still one week away from getting a complete diagnosis for Mistico. On Wednesday’s Figure Four Daily (subscriber only – go subscribe), Steve Sims suggested the neck injury may not be as severe as advertised, but more so being used as a cover story to give Mistico some time off for general recovery.

Today’s also the last AAA taping of the year, though it won’t air until 2007. I’m still expecting everyone turning on Mesias, but I’ve been wrong about AAA lately.

OCESA, Mexico promoters of WWE events, released a list of scheduled participants, but this’ll surely be changed between now and 02/10. Tickets go on sale this weekend, so they’d just like people to be excited about it right now.

Ovaciones mentioned yesterday that Carlos Eilzondo, Arena Coliseo Monterrey promotion, was suing CMLL. He was part of the group when they changed from EMLL to CMLL and is upset about something or other – they’ve mentioned dues, but I think it’s more a power issue – but Arturo Rivera had mentioned this prior and nothing had come of it. Seems like nothing still is happening, because CMLL says they haven’t received word of a suit.

12/13: notes

Mistico won luchador of the year at the Fox Sports awards. This airs on FSE this weekend.

La Park told Ovaciones today that he refuses to team with Dr. Wagner Jr. under any circumstances (and plans to still have a big match with Wagner soon). He’s just warning you, in case you were thinking about it. Don’t even team them up in Fire Pro or he’ll get mad at you.

(Park does not actually mention Fire Pro)

indy (FRI) 11/16 Arena Solidaridad [RFC]
1) Chica de Arabia, Mitsunory, Orquidea vs Atomo, Latino, Misionero
2) Caifan & Gato Volador vs Avenutrero & Silver Star and Apolo Estrada & Hijo del Apolo and Difunto I & Difunto II and Humberto Garza & Pancho Tequila and Mongol Chino & Potro and Principe Rebelde & Tacua and Bengali & Catts
3) Monje Negro vs Hator, Estrella, Diluvio Negro I, Diluvio Negro II, Vaquero [cage, hair, mask]

To me, the highlight of the last Arturo Rivera‘s column was Arturo just now finding out that Hator is out of AAA, and then relating a story about how Antifaz and Hator once accidentally got themselves booked on a show at a club – but it turned out to be a gay club.

AAA (FRI) 11/16 Arena Coliseo Monterrey [RFC]
1) Aguila Extrema vs Dr. Cianuro
2) Euforia (Monterrey) & Virtual X vs Dranser & Scravos
3) Hombre Sin Miedo & Iron vs Ramses & Sangre Chicana
4) el Ángel & Mascarita Sagrada vs El Brazo & Mini Abismo Negro
5) Alan Stone & El Alebrije vs Antifaz del Norte & Decnnis

Martha Villalobos is running an AAA awards show on 12/22 in Salon La Marka, according to Ovaciones.

12/15-17 Lucha Times

chart

AAA: A Christmas parade is scheduled for Saturday’s timeslot, and coincidentally repeats exactly where the overnight airing should be. Lucha de Vuelta is on the schedule, and we’ll presume the next episode airs there (Zorro vs Cibernetico, Zorro gets a title shot if he wins)

FSE-US: Fox Sports (Espanol) is running it’s award show Sunday night, in prime lucha time. They’ve moved lucha to the afternoon with a repeat overnight. Don’t have matches confirmed for this show, but it should be more Leono/Mexico build in the opener and the Villanos back together vs Koslov/Sagrado/Volador in the main.

Next week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, they’re repeating two episodes a night (at 8 and 9 pm eastern). All episodes are in one run from the spring which definitely will include Stuka vs Jeque’s mask match and has either Leono/Mogur’s hair match or Texano’s rudo turn. The descriptions were wrong for so long, it’s tough to figure out how accurate they are now, but that’s the general time frame.

CAN52: Back to the normal four airings. Terror/Virus vs Felino/Valiente/Super Nova (who could make two shows this weekend) in the opener, and the main is heavyweights + Volador. (I guess Texano’s a LH?)

————-

CMLL-MEX: No problem with Cadena3 running against this show this week, because the main show isn’t on till 7pm. 2 hour show, so probably 3 matches and no minis.

AAA-MEX: They’re finally just one show away from Guerra de Titanes. This one is the three way cage match.

FSE-Mex: Rudo Trueno in the main event!

Cadena3: top 3? I have no way of knowing at this point.

Cadenatres video feed

If you (still) have real player installed, check http://www.cadenatres.com.mx/videos/pro_n/transmision.php; I don’t know how I missed it before, but Victor found the streaming link.

Keith said this show should be on at 4pm on Saturday. I’m not sure if I’ll be around for that, but if you watch it, let me know (and see if you can capture a copy.)

Hopefully we don’t kill the speed on that link with a billion people checking it at once.

12/12: Mexico, Mini Cibernetico ’08

CMLL (TUE) 12/11 Arena Mexico
1) Calígula & Méssala b Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II
2) Ángel Azteca Jr., Leono, Starman DQ Dr. X, Loco Max, Nitro
3) Ohara, Shigeo Okumura, Skandalo b Fabián el Gitano, Metálico, Stuka Jr.
4) Damián 666, Misterioso II, Mr. Águila b Alex Koslov, Sagrado, Valiente
5) La Máscara, Marco Corelone, Shocker b Olímpico, Sangre Azteca, Último Guerrero

La Mascara beat Sangre Azteca with la campana and asked for a shot at the National Welterweight title. With Tuesday now being TV tapings, and cadenastres surely wanting feuds as much as anyone else, I think we’re going to see a more midcard title and hair feuds. It may be a good time to be a rudo with hair you’re not particularly attached to.

Leono replaced Trueno because I made fun of Leono yesterday. It’s all about vengeance. Starman got fouled in that match.

CMLL has announced the 01/04 (Fri) show will feature the 2008 Pequeno Reyes del Aire feud. Scheduled to complete:
– Mascarita Dorada
– Tzuki
– Bam Bam
– Shockercito
– Fantasy
– Pequeno Warrior
– Pequeno Halloween
– Pequeno Damian 666 (Mini’s title, last year’s winner)
– Pequeno Mr. Aguila
– Fire

That has possibilities.

Cibernetico is still being advertised for shows this month, including one next Wednesday in San Luis. The winner of the scheduled Mesias/Kenzo/Cibernetico three way wins a new Toyota car.

Crazy Boy hypes up his DTU “Descastre Total Ultraviolento” promotion, which will be running shows in Tulacingo starting this Friday. It sounds like they’re relying on internet word of mouth.

12/11: Puebla, lineups

CMLL (MON) 12/10 Arena Puebla [hugo999]
1) King Jaguar & SWAT b Espiritu Maligno & Toro Bill Jr.
2) Black Terry, Blade, Siki Osama Jr. b Asturiano, Centella de Oro, the Tigre
3) Atomo, Mascarita Dorada, Último Dragón b Pequeño Black Warrior, Pequeño Violencia, Pierrothito
4) Dos Caras Jr., Heavy Metal, Rey Bucanero b Damián 666, Mr. Águila, Texano Jr.
5) Héctor Garza, Misterioso II, Terrible b LA Park, Negro Casas, Volador Jr.

Apparently there was a Toryumon Gym show on Sunday at Arena Mexico. Who knew? Looks like Atlantis defended the NWA LH title over Ultimo Dragon. Full results may turn up from Japanese sources later on.

Some lineups this week:

IWRG (THU) 12/13 Arena Nauclapan

Title change, I presume.

CMLL (SUN) 12/16 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
