CMLL (SUN) 12/16 Arena Mexico
1) Pólvora & Vaquero b Kid Tiger & Molotov
2) Luna Magica, Princesa Blanca, Rosa Negra b Hiroka, La Nazi, Medussa
3) Diamante Negro Jr., Shigeo Okumura, Virus b Fabián el Gitano, Metálico, Super Nova
4) Misterioso II, Olímpico, Universo 2000 b Felino, La Máscara, Stuka Jr.
5) el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Héctor Garza, Texano b Alex Koslov, Heavy Metal, Marco Corelone
Perros snuck in a foul on Corelone. Perro is back from his knee injury, but Ovaciones notes he’s still hurting.
Okumura was hurt on a Super Nova dive. Rosa Negra was filling in for Lady Apache and appears to be a tecnica now. (Huh.)
Crazy Boy will be out out four months due to an injury suffered doing a stunt on his DTU show. (See it here.) This is the least surprising news ever. Crazy Boy and Joe Lider are actually supposed to defend the AAA tag team titles in SLP on Wednesday, though I think nothing will come of it.
The big problem for Crazy Boy is he got hurt on his own show. MAYBE (and that’s a definite maybe) he would’ve got some pay the next few months if this had happened on AAA show.
AAA G-Mendoza (FRI) 12/14 Arena Miguel Canto [Por Esto]
2) Jerrito Estrada & Mini Chessman b La Parkita & Mascarita Divina
3) Casandro, Pimpinela Escarlata, Vicky Carranza b Jesse, Rossy Moreno, Yuriko
4) Histeria, Mr. Niebla, Psicosis b Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera
They drew 2,500 for the first show at this (new-ish) building. Same rudo fouls tecnico while the ref is looking the wrong way finish for both the minis match and the main event.
AAA AGUILAS (SUN) 12/16 Plaza de Toros El Palacio del Arte [Cambio de Michoacan]
1) Estrellita & Mascarita Divina b Mini Histeria & Sexy Paloma
2) Ishimori, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera b Histeria, Mr. Niebla, Psicosis II
3) El Elegido, Groon XXX, Mascara Divina b Escoria, Histeria, Mesias
A lot of subs on this card. Mini Charly Manson and La Diabolica were the announced rudo team for the mixed match, but not who appeared. Ishimori replaced Crazy Boy. Histeria worked twice to replace Cuervo. Instead of announcing La Parka Jr.’s injury, they had him come to the ring and get beat up by the rudos, with Mascara Divina running out to take his place. If Parka is still getting beat up, how is that better for him than wrestling?
IWRG (SUN) 12/09 Arena Naucalpan [superluchas #243]
1) Rockero del Diablo b Tortuguillo Ninja II
2) Puma King & Radioactivo b Gemelo Fantastico I & Gemelo Fantastico II
3) Black Terry, Kalinari, Yamato b Fantasma de la Ópera, Golem, Multifacetico
4) Bogeman, Negro Navarro, Ultraman Jr. DQ Cien Caras Jr., Hijo de Mascara Ano 2000, Hijo del Cien Caras
5) Negro Casas DQ Villano III [IWRG IC MIDDLE]
Hijo del Cien Caras is a jerk. DQ in the semimain for fouling Ultraman Jr, DQ in the main for attacking Negro (as Villano III’s cornerman, but he was directly in the ring.) V3 covered, got the three count, and they overturned the title change a bit later. IWRG’s finishes sound quite awful lately.
IWRG (THU) 12/13 Arena Naucalpan [superluchas #243]
1) Tortugillo Ninja II & Tortuguillo Ninja III b Judas el Traidor & Nemesis IWRG
2) Bracito de Plata, Espectrito I, Pentagoncito b La Parkita, Pequeno Kato, Pequeno Volador
3) Fantasma de la Ópera, Multifacetico, Ultraman Jr. b Cerebro Negro, Oficial Fierro, Septiembre Negro II
4) Bogeman, Pantera, Veneno b Kalimari, Masada, Yamato
5) Felino, Heavy Metal, Negro Casas b Hijo del Cien Caras, Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., Pierroth
Pierroth did not get along with the Junior Capos. After the match, Heavy demanded a tag team title shot (the Junior Capos are IWRG champs), though it’s not clear which Casas brother is supposed to be his partner.
Kalimari is a masked man, whom Superluchas says is from AJPW. I still have no idea. Kalimari appears to have only two arms, which is vastly disappointing. “Yamamoto” was a typo (or a clue, I don’t know.) Kalimari is in for three months.
Superluchas also has an interview with Dr. Cerebro and Suicida about still being banned from IWRG. It seems like there’s been no progress for those two.
Latin Lover won the international Dancing With The Stars competition. He and his partner, Mariana Vallejo, upset a team from Romania to win. They won a prize of 400,000 pesos and a trip to the ’08 Olympics as representatives of Mexico. They’ve also been offered a spot on a reality show in Argentina that would begin in April and run to October, but Latin’s not sure he wants to be away from his family that long.

– El Hijo del Santo talks about Todos X el Todos and future plans to ESTO. Sounds like they plan on doing shows
– Octagon seems to be in annoyed mood in an interview while in Los Cabos – he goes into a mini-rant at the end about how AAA doesn’t use fake Octagons or fake La Parka’s, which seems to lack any context, but I think we’re supposed to put it together with Octagon’s complaint about the promoters hyping the next show at the building while this one is still going on, and I bet that next show includes LA Park.
– Dr. Wagner Jr.’s sister says Wagner’s return to Arena Mexico last Friday does not mean he’s back in CMLL full time – he’s still a freelance guy who just left the door open to return to CMLL on occasions that they need him.
– Guadalara wrestlers visited a children’s hospital
– Laredo Kid is still on crutches.
If you’ve got some time on your hands, this website appears to have a list of Mexico TV ratings going back to May ’06. Not all days are there, I can’t figure out what 1 point actually translates there, and I’m not sure the area they’re measuring (DF? Mexico?), but it’s something I’d put in a chart if (when?) I had more time. Brazil TV ratings. Which explains why lucha libre was listed at an odd time.

That’s actually Argentina. TeleFe airs the Lucha from Argentina, and Canal 9 is one-hour RAW and Smackdown.
those top two arena mexico sunday matches look good. as does the iwrg main event with the casas brothers. and the top two arena mexico sunday matches for this week look good too. i’m looking forward to them.
“Rosa Negra was filling in for Lady Apache and appears to be a tecnica now. (Huh.)”
Yay! I like Rosa Negra.
“The big problem for Crazy Boy is he got hurt on his own show. MAYBE (and that’s a definite maybe) he would’ve got some pay the next few months if this had happened on AAA show.”
Eh, probably not. He could have gotten sympathy and came back as a huge tecnico had it been on a big AAA show but now it just seems like he disapeared to the average viewer.
“IWRG’s finishes sound quite awful lately.”
Yep. Someone is overbooking this group for TV purposes.
“Superluchas also has an interview with Dr. Cerebro and Suicida about still being banned from IWRG. It seems like there’s been no progress for those two.”
Segura would be a good pick-up for AAA.
There was a wrestler namend “Kaminari” who worked 20 matches for WWC in Puerto Rico from September – November. That was a guest from a Puro promotion. Perhaps “Kalinari”=Kaminari?
This is what he looks like, if it helps: http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa173/thecubsfan/kalimari.jpg
Is it Akira Raijin from All-Japan?
