Full results are up on superluchas, but to hit in brief
– El Hijo del Santo beat Pentagon Black for his mask. The two were not partners, but the final tag match came down to Santo/Demon vs Pentagon Black/Super Muneco and Demon KOed Muneco on a tope. To me, this would seem like Muneco & Black lost and Pentagon Black gets the easiest mask win ever, but I guess the idea is the local commissioner ruled Muneco unable to continue and changed the final to Demon vs Santo vs Pentagon Black. It’s no surprise how that one turned out, though it’s worth noting they did have Demon pick up a pinfall on Santo in the process. Pentagon Black was revealed to be Joe Mercado Lopez, who’s now lost a mask at least 3 times.
(Chui did call this ending. Santo needs to kickback some money that way.)
– Perhaps of more long term importance, El Hijo del Santo announced he was going to start his own promotion. A lot depends on the support (from money men as well as other wrestlers) he gets from here on out, but the effort did start on a good note – reported attendance for this show was 12,000, 3/4th of the arena. Todos X El Todos and CMLL’s Sin Piedad drew about the same number, but Santo’s show was getting a lot more per ticket.
On a completely different note, there’s a post saying Mistico suffered an injury in Iztapalapa on Saturday and will be out three months. (The thread’s more about informing people Mistico won’t be in Merida on Sunday.) The specific injury is not mentioned, which is very odd for something with such a definite time line for recovery. I’m a bit dubious of this, but it’ll be clear within 24 hours. Like La Parka Jr. and Cibernetico in AAA, it would hurt business to not have Mistico around, but there are worse times of the year for this kind of thing to happen.

A Toluca house show was the first one Mistico missed because of the injury, place was about to riot but was replaced by Dr Wagner Jr (or Silver King, I guess) and everything turned out right.
If the injury is really that serious, I guess Wagner will be back in ArMex this Friday.
Watch Mistico come back in January. I’m calling it.
I’m not that optimist, I’m calling a December date.
Way to go out on a limb, Tim.
Yeah I know Rob. I couldn’t pinpoint a exact date.
Lola got booed, so I hope they get the message, although Ocampo didn’t mention that, which might mean he’s already aligned with the project.
CAN52 had
* Amapola b Marcela [CMLL WOMEN]
* Místico, Rey Bucanero, Shocker b Black Warrior, Lizmark Jr., Olímpico
* Outisde the ring: Mascarita Dorada
Reforma picked up the Mistico injury, but it seems now a month is what they’re talking, I stand by my prediction of him being back this month.
He missed 3 shows just Saturday, though, and the one in Merida was supposed to be a biggie, after Perro flopped the place.
A good women’s title match and Mistico in his awesome black outfit! 2/2 for Canal52! -1 already for FSE b/c of Leono/Mr. Mexico.
Merida show flopped.
