12/05: title change, Puebla, Cibernetico’s burnt back

CMLL (TUE) 12/04 Arena Mexico [ova]
1) Rayo Tapatío I & Rayo Tapatío II b Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Molotov, Starman, Trueno b Calígula, Méssala, Zayco
3) Atomo, Mascarita Dorada, Shockercito b Pequeño Black Warrior, Pequeño Damian 666, Pierrothito
4) Felino, Heavy Metal, La Máscara b Euforia, Nosferatu, Satánico
5) Lizmark Jr., Mephisto, Sangre Azteca b La Sombra, Valiente, Volador Jr.
6) Atlantis & Último Guerrero b Blue Panther & Negro Casas [CMLL TAG]

Panther hurt Ultimo’s left knee with a submission to win the first fall, but Ultimo and Atlantisw heroically battled back to take the second, then took the third with Atlantidas. A poster on el martinete really liked this match.

Wait, doesn’t that headline say title change? Oh:

CMLL (TUE) 12/04 Arena Queretaro [Pillo del Mal]
1) Averno b Vangelis, Místico [losers advance]
2) Místico b Vangelis [MEX LH, CMLL WELTER]

Didn’t even know they were having this match till I saw that post with the results. It started as a triangle match, with the winner escaping and the losers having to put their titles on the line. (Averno would’ve put the NWA Middleweight title on the line. I just realized he unified the middleweight titles – what a big deal that turned out not to be.) Averno won, and Mistico beat the obscure national light heavyweight champion Vangelis. I believe Vangelis bought this title from El Dandy, which would mean CMLL would’ve now have bought it from Vangelis. That doesn’t make any sense and seems very strange.

Mistico’s back up to three titles with this one, the IWRG one, and the CMLL Welterweight title. LH range is 87 to 97 kg and Mistico’s listed at 75 kg. Must’ve been a heck of a lunch.

CMLL (MON) 12/03 Arena Puebla [hugo999
1) Asturiano & Centella de Oro b Fuerza Chicana & Mr. Rafaga
2) Black Terry, Policeman, Siki Osama Jr. b Cerebro Negro, Furia Chicana, Toro Bill
3) Loco Max, Ohara, Shigeo Okumura b Ángel Azteca Jr., Flash, Stuka Jr.
4) Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Shocker b Universo 2000, Villano IV, Villano V
5) LA Park, Negro Casas, Volador Jr. b el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Héctor Garza, Misterioso II

Park got away with a foul on Perro for the win.

El Sol de Tampico has photos of Cibernetico’s burnt back. There’s more from the print edition on el Martiente.

Dr_landru @ Satanico’s Mansion says the TNA Mexico promoter says the shows were canceled due to injuries to Sting and Kurt Angle (both of whom are fine as far as I know), and will be rescheduled for April or May.

A story on Vampiro as Guardian Angel got picked up by some wire services. That link has an English NY Daily news version, and there’s versions in Spanish as well. (Thanks to mikeinformer)

Univison writes about Canek collecting food for flood victims in Tabasco.

LLF (FRI) 12/07 Arena Femenil Monterrey [rfc]
1) Angelica & Perla Negra vs Dama Hierro & Lady Puma
2) Bandida vs Candy [ref hair]
3) Patty Rey vs Shira [hardcore]
4) Diana La Cazadora, Princesa yara, Simply Luscious vs ?, La Chacala, Polly Star
5) Tsunami vs Reyna Azteca [hair]

Main event is a hair match between two masked women (thought heir hair sticks out past their mask.) This is the 7th anniversary show for the promotion, and the posts note that it’s been a bad year for the group.

AAA (MON) 12/10 Auditorio Municipal Tampico [El Sol de Tampico]
1) Flash (Tampico) & Okusono vs Black Master & Disturbio
2) Buldozer, Corsario Blanco, Impulso vs ?, Arana Maligna I, Arana Maligna II, Pastro Diabolico
3) Mini Charly Manson & Sexy Star vs La Diabólica & Mini Ozz
4) Jesse, Polvo de Esterllas, Yuriko vs Ángel Mortal, Gallego, Mr. Cóndor
5) Aerostar, Rey Cometa, Super Fly vs Cuervo, Escoria, Ozz
6) Charly Manson, Chessman, Mascara Divina vs Antifaz del Norte, Histeria, Psicosis

The local rotary club is sponsoring the show as part of it’s Fight Against Cancer.

WAGNER (SAT) 12/22 Poliforum de la Feria Torreon [Milenio (Torreon)]
1) Brillante Sr., Sexy Piscis, Stuka Jr. vs Hooligan, Misterioso II, Sexy Francis
2) Silver King vs Shigeo Okumura
3) La Sombra & Máximo vs Damián 666 & Nitro
4) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Rey Bucanero vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Héctor Garza

This show will air on Multimedios Laguna on Christmas.

  1. Underwhelming end of year show for La Laguna. Only 16 workers? Well, I guess Wagner is that cheap, but my main problem is that usually they would do those shows with only locals, and this one is full of lame outsiders (save Rey Bucanero who might be rudo by then).

BTW, something I forgot about Nitro, is that guys say he sells beer in Arena Mexico shows, and that’s why he ended working with Apocalipsis mask, he was the only one around.

Mistico won the light heavyweight so that he could job to LA Park.

  2. It should be the Xalapa taping this week in Mexico. I wonder if US Gala will show the Teleton show, or if they run the real progression of tapings.

At least a day went by without any changes made to Sin Piedad.

  3. US Gala ran spots for Teleton, so who knows what will happen to AAA.

And next week, Dec 16, FSE airs CMLL at midnight due to Fox Sports awards.

  4. The pics of Ciber’s burns don’t do them justice

XEJ here in Juarez, during the Noti AAA segment, just showed the footage, including some closeups, of the burns, and they’re pretty harsh & brutal

    Rough stuff
