CMLL End of Year Main Event Now Shocker/Lizmark Jr. vs Warrior/Bucanero

Yes, really. Medio Tiempo has a write up from the press conference for the show. Originally, they were just supposed to announce Toscano being subbed out for Lizmark, but the bigger switch was set up. CMLL is quote as saying two hairs will fail, so this is not a rulete de muerte situation.

Despite not having issues prior, Black Warrior was upset about teaming with Lizmark Jr., and Bucanero was upset that Shocker no-showed the press entirely (side note: uh oh) and he also suddenly remembered Shocker took his mask way back when. Hasn’t seemed to bug him the last six months, but okay. They teased a fight, and then CMLL announced the switched teams. No one was happy with they were with before, so I guess now it’s the point that they’re not supposed to be getting along. It’s a relevos incredible match, no one’s switching sides (YET).

No one’s said as much to me, but I’m figuring Warrior and Toscano were losing – Warrior’s seemed to grow his hair back just in time for this match, which is always the easiest clue. Lizmark Jr. losing his mask and his hair in short time puts a very negative stigma on him going forward, so you could see where he might balk at dropping his hair. CMLL surely seems to think much more highly of Shocker than Rey, so he makes sense as a loser.

  1. They said it’s relevos increibles but I think the next step would be to make this Relevos Suicidas so that only one hair will fall.

    Hehehe… “Seria y Estable”
