11/23: AULL, Neza

Ovaciones doesn’t appear to be up today.

AULL (SAT) 11/17 Arena Lopez Mateos [The Gladiatores]
1) Chico de Barrio & Herejia b Angelus & Militar Jr.
2) Amercian Machine, Robocop, Super Panda b El Federal II, Ice Killer, Misterio
3) Robin Maravilla, Star Cat, Yakuza b Federal I, Onita Santana, Sadico
4) Rey de Corazones, Ultraman, Villano III DQ Mano Negra, Rey Krimen, Sepulturero I
5) LA Park, Sangre Azteca, Toscano DQ La Máscara, Mascara Purpura, Rey Bucanero

American Machine is someone doing Love Machine. Today happens to be the 13th anniversary of Art Barr’s death.

Mano Negro fouled Villano III, which sets up their match this week. They’re doing a match as What If – “What If Villano III and Mano Negra had fought at the peak of their careers in a mask vs mask match?” This means they’ll be wearing their masks again.

Bucanero got his team DQed in the main event.

CMLL (SUN) 11/18 Arena Neza [The Gladiatores
1) Dr. Trauma & Iron Black b Ambar & Lobo Azul
2) Dark Devil & Hombra Bala Jr. b Bismart & Black Lancer
3) Piel Roja & Rayo Tapaito I b Mohicano I & Mohicano II
4) Felino & La Máscara DQ Mephisto & Texano Jr.
5) Flama Roja L Tony Rivera, Máximo, Rayo Tapatío II, Mascara Purpura, Chac Mol, Misterioso II, Shigeo Okumura, Ramstein, Sangre Azteca [hair, cage]

Order of exit from the cage: Mascara Purpura, Chac-Mol, Okumura, Loco Max, Sangre Azteca, Rayo Tapatio II, Flama Roja – and then came back, Tony Rivera – and then came back, Ramstein, Misterioso and then Tony beat Flama Roja.

Texano fouled Mascara. Rayo Tapatio I challenges for a shot at the Mohicano’s tag title after their win.

CMLL’s taken the unusual (for them) step of advertising who’s going to be on the End of Year show but not giving out the matches yet. Scheduled are Mistico, Averno, Ultimo Guerrero, Atlantis, Blue Panther, various Casas brothers, various Perros del Mal, and LA Park – who will be a tecnico. Huh. I suspect we’ll know the card in the couple days.

ESTO’s Friday notes columns mentions Los Dinamitas’ movie is postponed at the moment.

Last Sunday’s Arena Mexico lucha/music show will air on Telehit this Sunday

  1. If it’s on PPV, I really hope Mistico is not facing Averno in a singles match at this big show. It’s the most overdone match in Mexico and frankly it’s getting more boring and stale with every passing match. And It’s not like they’re ever going to get anywhere near their 2 matches in Feb 05 again….

Something like Mistico/LA Park/Negro Casas V Ultimo Guerrero/Atlantis/Averno would do quite nicely as a semi-main.

Nice to see Valiente on the show too. Would be great if he was up to segunda level and they actually did start off with a genuine prelim match or minis opener like Flash/Nova/Guillereros last year.

Of course, if it’s not on PPV and not making tv, i couldn’t care less what they show. In a weird kinda way, i would hope for the card to absolutely suck to lessen the disappointment of what we were missing.

D’you think they’ll maybe do Volador/Sombra/Sagrado v Aguila/Damian/Terrible for the national Trios titles?

  2. Random guy says boxylucha says this is the card:

  3. Women in the opener surprises me since I thought they’d draw #2 again.

Looks like a solid workrate show much like the 9/28 event but once again… a big show? Not on paper. Me thinks the people in charge have still yet to figure out fans expect a few big matches on a big show like AAA, not just one big match… which this show doesn’t really have either.

    CMLL once again disapoints.

  4. I guess they just threw that so that they can start selling the tickets or at least saying they have a card. No LA Park? Things might change depending on what happens now and next Friday.
