CMLL FSE #63

CMLL FSE Guerreros del Ring #62, taped 10/14, aired 11/111

Luna Magica is not quite good, which is actually normal. We’re all not very good at things at some point. The troubling thing is she seems to be getting worse, and that has seemed impossible at times.

Main event was upper middle guys just getting by.

11/15: Santo, Monterrey

CMLL

As expected, Santo won the honoracy CMB (WBC) lucha libre title, beating Kamui with a camel clutch in a one fall match. Santo bled during the match, and handed over his bloody mask to the CMB president at the end of the show. Erik Morales didn’t make the convention, due to the birth of his second child.

Guess who’s back in ACM?

AAA #649

AAA #649, taped 09/30/07, aired 11/03/07

I am not looking for a prolonged booking argument, but if Billy and Fabi were meant to continue with their chase for the tag belts (and that seems to have been the plan), why did they lose in a non title match? At least this wasn’t the follow up to a big angle involving Billy and Fabi that had been spotlighted the last two weeks – oh wait…

The difference between CMLL and AAA is the triple tries twelve things and does a bad job of following thru eleven of them. Meanwhile, CMLL lets guys tease twelve things and only does the fifth and eleventh most interesting things.

Why did Extreme Tiger turn? Just because he was from Tijuana and Tijuana is in the group’s name? Halloween must be one convincing orator.

Zorro’s rudo debut was fine.
