CMLL CAN52 GdR #101

CMLL CAN52 Guerreros del Ring #101, aired 10/27 and taped 10/19 and 10/21 (link fixed)

Infernales came the closest to winning a match without allowing a tecnico team to ever get their comeback that I’ve seen in some time. Tecnicos won the first fall, beatdown started in the second, tecnicos got a comeback spot in the third and were almost immediately beat. If CMLL didn’t have three different rudo groups ahead of them, I’d think they were really going plays with this Infernales team.

If you haven’t seen it below for yourself, I wasn’t much impressed by Averno/Mistico. It was okay, but by the way they laid out the match and how the third fall was edited, it was just spot pause spot through the match and the spots themselves weren’t so great. It felt like a B- version of their match, as if they were doing it at a small spot show or thru some injuries (which surely was the case with Mistico.) I still prefer it to an effortless trios match but it’s not going to make anyone’s best of list.

  1. You linked to the wrong review.:(

Is this a new thing with the first match always getting such little time now and the main event getting more than usual? That women’s match got 6 minutes and the Stuka Jr. match the previous week got 5 while the main events got into the double digits for a change.

I was gonna watch Mistico/Averno tonight but your comments don’t make it seem like I should be in a rush.
