There’s news, but I’m waiting till I have time to type.
CMLL (FRI) 10/26 Arena Mexico
1) Metalico & Tigre Blanco vs Caligula & Messala
2) Diana la Cazadora, Lady Apache, Marcela vs Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei
3) Sombra, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Sangre Azteca, Virus
4) Alex Koslov, Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Dragon vs Damian 666, Samurai Shiro, Texano Jr.
5) Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone, Shocker vs Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Mr. Aguila, Terrible
Today’s big question: Why do the Tigres keep teaming up if Metalico has renounced his Tigre ways? Doesn’t Blanco feel betrayed, like Metalico turned his back on him and all the animals they stand for? I know I would be hurt and angry.
The Romans should bring in another guy with a lion gimmick, convince Leono to turn rudo, and set up a feud between them and Sagrado and Mistico.
Anyway, the idea CMLL is pushing here is Perros feuding with the ex-member Shocker. You may recall Shocker was part of Perros del Mal and randomally turned on them, one whole year ago. I guess the Perros are angry, but not in any hurry. They’ll get to killing Shocker, eventually, there’s just been some good soccer games on.
I have this idea that there’s a Terrible/Dos Jr. feud going on. I think I want to believe something is actually happening and may be lying to myself. We shall see after tonight.
Otherwise, not a lot to say about this card. Semimain is about getting people on the show. Tercera could be really fun, if it airs and they try. Segunda is Diana’s first match here in a couple months, but her third in Arena Mexico since losing her hair.
AAA is taping in Veracruz
AAA TV (FRI) 10/26 Estadio de Beisbol Carlos Serdan Arechavaleta
1) La Parkita & Mascarita Divina vs Mini Charly Manson & Mini Chessman
2) Casandro, el Ángel, Pimpinela Escarlata, Super Fly vs Jesse, Nygma, Polvo de Esterllas, Yuriko
3) Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Super Calo vs Decnnis, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
4) El Elegido, Intocable, Octagón vs Abismo Negro, Electro Shock, Kenzo Suzuki
5) Cibernetico & La Parka Jr. vs Mesias & Zorro
Main event is usual Cibernetico/Mesias stuff. They’ve got to be doing something with Zorro at GdT, but La Parka Jr. seems to be feuding with Kenzo.
Wonder who they’ll get for the semimain spot when Abismo doens’t show.
We should start getting a sense of the Guerra de Titanes undercard. Maybe they’ll start setting up stips in the tercera and segunda matches, since those are ongoing feuds.

I can’t wait to see that tercera – they’ll have their working boots on for sure! No shitty La Mascara to slow them down and make them think “why the fuck am i busting my ass so hard in here when slugs like that get by doing nothing”.
And Valiente will get to face Virus one on one for a few minutes which is as good as modern lucha gets(please, please someone give us a televised singles match between these two!).
The only thing that may stop this being completely off the charts awesome is if it’s rushed. But for the 10 minutes or so it goes, it will still be jawdropping i’m sure – we might even see the trplie moonsault from one turnbuckle spot! :D
Won´t Gala air the anniversary show instead of tonight’s card?
Anniversary should air Sunday. There’s the weekly CMLL show on Saturday, though it appears now to be only an hour.
Esmas has it listed for 1:45 like usual.
AAA has 2:15 this week, PPV airs right before it in a 2:00 block so I’m thinking women, La Sombra match and main.
esmas says CMLL is 45 minutes.
Maybe tomorrow they’ll just show the PPV cage match and then Sunday will be two full shows of each promotion?
I believe the reason Televisa is airing the CMLL PPV is to use it as a strong lead-in to the classic Chivas vs. America game. This way when the ratings come out, Televisa can say they dominated the entire afternoon with M 18-34 or something like that.
The PPV and AAA will go head to head with the America game, they´ll run like 3 or 4 hours of pregame shows in Canal 2, not Gala, there´s no lead-in.
So then Televisa is using the PPV as counter-programming. Who do you want to win? Chivas or America? Is Llaves y Candados still being preempted in Torreon? I’m going to try to watch it tomorrow.
With the NFL game going on, it might be used as filler space (if the PPV airs tomorrow).
The basketball season is still going on, but I don’t know if today llaves will be preempted.

The rumor is that CMLL is trying to explain their drop in ratings with them being on Saturdays, so I guess Televisa gave them this Sunday, which of course, won’t prove nothing since the viewers will tune in expecting to watch AAA.
If, or when the ratings keep being the same, they’ll blame America’s game for it.
CMLL has momentos estelares, cartelera de la semana, aficionado and last night’s main event.
Fuck Televisa!!
Worst of it is, there will be no chance of the tercera on the b-shows next week – and we won’t even get a highlights package from the official site as some genius has decided in his wisdom that the 4 videos should only cover top 2 nowadays. :(
They don’t half pick their weeks. Wouldn’t suprise me now if they try to even things up with 2:45hrs next week – airing the opener in the week when it’s Leono and Fabian!
I was actually thinking the same thing – only chance we’ll get to see an opening match is when it’s an awful looking one like next week.:P
But yay – MOMENTOS IS SAVED! With our luck it’ll air nothing from last week’s opener though.:P
I’m thrilled they left in the fan of the week segment though. I’d have been pissed if we missed that!
I’ll still hold out hope the tercera from last night makes one of the weekend shows.
So far, MultiIdiotas is airing Martes Nice, so we may not see Santo this week. It’s 11:35, so they can still put his match on, but I doubt it.
As far as CMLL and ratings, let’s face it- WON is the only one talking about it, and we know that’s from Konnan. I’ve seen weeks where AAA does a national 5.5 IBOPE rating. If there was any kind of ratings race, I’m sure the media in Mexico would’ve picked up on it.
LyC is airing Navarro/Mano Negra vs. Solar/Super Astro. No Anniversary show. Oh well.
