As they did last year, CMLL will skip the usual Arena Mexico vacation this year. CMLL Director of Programming Panico told Ovaciones CMLL will continue to run Arena Mexico shows thru December and Janurary. They plan to hold a End Of The Year-ish card on 12/14 or 12/21, but will hold all the usual cards after. The only planned holiday change is the start time for the Tuesday shows on 12/25 and 01/01/08, 2:30 earlier than usual.

Septiember Negro ended up turning on his team, and that was that. Villano III sure is getting pushed a lot for a guy who was looking done not too many months ago. (And it’s not like he’s gotten better.) I suspect he’s winning the title next week. Cerebro Negro got involved with the segunda, and they push on to Fantasma de la Opera vs Black Terry vs Cerebro Negro soon.

…though I’m positive he’s was the promoter for the GPWC shows. I guess if you can have multiple (and ignored) retirements in lucha libre, you can have multiple debuts. Not only is Juvi putting family members in the main event of his show (though you could do far worse), he’s also preforming with his band.

Ultimo Guerrero tells Noticias Oaxaca that he decided to be a rudo because he hates applause. It’s a pretty good interview, with UG saying he’d prefer to feud against Dr. Wagner Jr. or Villano V for their legends and experience. He’s got comments about being disinterested in Mistico as a rival as well. It sounds like they did have the UWA Title match last night and Wagner did win, but the results may not turn up till tomorrow.

Today’s big question: Why do the Tigres keep teaming up if Metalico has renounced his Tigre ways? Doesn’t Blanco feel betrayed, like Metalico turned his back on him and all the animals they stand for? I know I would be hurt and angry.

The Romans should bring in another guy with a lion gimmick, convince Leono to turn rudo, and set up a feud between them and Sagrado and Mistico.

Anyway, the idea CMLL is pushing here is Perros feuding with the ex-member Shocker. You may recall Shocker was part of Perros del Mal and randomally turned on them, one whole year ago. I guess the Perros are angry, but not in any hurry. They’ll get to killing Shocker, eventually, there’s just been some good soccer games on.

I have this idea that there’s a Terrible/Dos Jr. feud going on. I think I want to believe something is actually happening and may be lying to myself. We shall see after tonight.

Otherwise, not a lot to say about this card. Semimain is about getting people on the show. Tercera could be really fun, if it airs and they try. Segunda is Diana’s first match here in a couple months, but her third in Arena Mexico since losing her hair.

Wonder who they’ll get for the semimain spot when Abismo doens’t show.

We should start getting a sense of the Guerra de Titanes undercard. Maybe they’ll start setting up stips in the tercera and segunda matches, since those are ongoing feuds.
