10/13: Mexico, lineups, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 10/12 Arena Mexico [ovaciones, ESTO]
1) Metalico & Trueno b Arkangel & Hooligan
2) Leono, Stuka Jr., Super Nova b Loco Max, Ohara, Okumura
3) La Mascara, Rey Bucanero, Sombra b Misterioso II, Sangre Azteca, Virus
4) Alex Koslov, Blue Panther, Ultimo Dragon b Averno, Black Warrior, Olimpico
5) Atlantis, Toscano, Ultimo Guerrero b Mistico, Negro Casas, Shocker

Ultimo yanked Mistico’s mask and pinned him, and Atlantis got Negro with Atlantida. Challenges back and forth – Ovaciones hints at a tag team title match. They pushed Panther vs Warrior in the semimain, but that won’t be followed up on this week.

CMLL (TUE) 10/16 Arena Coliseo

2) Lady Apache, Luna Magica, Marcela vs Amapola, Medussa, Rosa Negra
3) La Mascara, Maximo, Stuka Jr. vs Mentallo, Mephisto, Samurai Shiro
4) Bam Bam vs Pequeno Violencia [hair]
5) Alex Koslov, Shocker, Volador Jr. vs Black Warrior, Lizmark Jr., Toscano

Samurai Shiro is Shiro Koshinaka, making a trip in. Not a clue who Mentallo is.

  1. “en una función que registró una pobre entrada en el coso de la Doctores.”

Good thing for those willing to take risks with Shocker…

  2. We are headed to Shocker’s first no show in this era (once he finds out he’s taking the pin to Aguayo).

I guess Garza fell out of grace with the office, he’s 2 weeks ago from dropping the hair, which means we won’t be seeing out for a while, and we have not seen him for a while. Maybe those “Perro and Hector became independents” rumor during the 2006 is true… didn’t work, now suffer Hector.

I’m 99% sure that today they’ll air part of the Anniversary, so we’ll be spared from yesterday show.

  3. I love how CMLL is drawing pathetic crowds to their big shows and their answer to the problem isn’t to start building up new blood again, it’s to re-push Shocker and bring in foreign talent that won’t get over (sorry Chris, although his mask is cool).

  4. BTW, another M _____ O wrestler in the promotion.

    M istic O
    M etalic O
    M axim O
    M ehpist O
    M r. Mexic O
    M isterios O
    And now…
    M ental O

  5. I actually want to see yesterday’s show. The segunda, tercera and main would be nice. It’s just that awful looking semi-main with KOSLOV and DRAGON (ugh to both…) teaming that scares me away since you know it’ll have to air in some form.

  6. If the radio guys, who get paid to watch that stuff were saying the show was bad and got so bored they were talking about other things, I don’t want to imagine how it was…

  7. I also want to see the segunda from ArMex. Would be nice to see it on Fox Sports Espanol. Even the opener is not that bad.

So Llaves y Candados was headlined by Aventurero and a bunch of world-class models dancing in the ring, and some locals. It’s actually better than seeing Alebrije, Sangre Chicana, and Pimpi in the main event.

  8. I’m slowly going through some 2007 ACM on LyC and the production is really awful. They miss every single dive. Sometimes the camera is in perfect position to catch the dive and they’ll cut away for no reason so they can miss it. The crowd is mic’ed pretty badly as well. Robertito is pretty good on commentary but I’ve only seen him do 2 matches so far.

    Vudu is AWESOME.

  9. I’m worried…

Next week’s Coliseo lineup has the fake opening match so there is going to be a singles match added but nothing fits. Either they’re doing Pequeno Olimpico vs Mr. Aguilita for the mask/hair/title or the women are getting a singles match that makes no sense. Could be Luna Magica vs Amapola!!! RUN CUBS, RUN!!!

  10. I agree with you Robert, Vudu is awesome. When AAA left ACM last year, ACM had a chance to build their own stars with Psicodelico Jr, Vudu, Huracan Jr, and Poly Star and others. Instead, they worked things out with AAA forgot about the future. I’m guessing that AAA could go back to the DOMO CARE for TV and some spot shows. I also bet Arena Coliseo will finally be sold.

The production is very bad. Multimedios puts no effort into the show. Is it the worst lucha show on TV? Probably. Yet Multimedios has excellent production values on their network shows. Makes no sense. Young Robert did start out doing lots of promos trying make the show more interesting, but I’ll bet he hit some road blocks along the way. I’ve been to one of those “tapings”. MM crew gets there at the time the show starts 6:30, sets up for one hour, and tapes the last three matches.

  11. I wrote to Roberto asking for more info on Vudu since he seemingly appeared from nowhere. I wonder if he’s a rookie.

  12. I am wondering if he is from the Texas indy scene. He appeared during the time Psicodelico and the Dallas indy group was around. Maybe there is a connection.

RFC had a nice rant about who is going to be the new Coli promoter. Migrejok seems to bother RFC, so they probably know each other from the MTY scene. I’d like to see AAA at GNL for a little while.

  13. You know judging by the CMLL.com photos – Stuka Jr. decided to bust out his rarely seen apron space flying tiger drop on this show!
