2) Dark Angel, Luna Magica, Marcela b Amapola, Hiroka, Princesa Sujei
–1) Tecnicas
–2) Rudas
–3) Tecnicas

Valiente’s being interviewed by the announcers. He seems to be fence sitting on the main event.

3) La Mascara, Ultimo Dragon, Volador Jr. vs Misterioso Jr., Texano Jr., Virus
–1) Rudos
–2) Tecnicos (with help from Que Monito)
–3) Tecnicos (La Mascara beats Virus with La Campana)

4) Alex Koslov, Sagrado, Sombra b Ephesto, Sangre Azteca, Toscano – entrances
–1) Tecnicos
–2) Rudos
(Cubs win the division HERE and I get distracted by people pouring liquor on each other)
–3) Tecnicos (Toscano yanked Sombra’s mask for the DQ)

5) Marco Corelone, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero b Averno, Mephisto, Olimpico
–1) Rudos
–2) Tecnicos
–3) Tecnicos (CO after Corelone wiped the rudos out with a dive)

That’s 5 tecnico wins. Hmmmmmm.

Dance number in between matches. They don’t have enough time for matches! (Oh, right, they’re putting up the cage.)

On Now
6) Mistico vs Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Villano V, Dr. Wagner Jr., Ultimo Guerrero, Hijo de Lizmark, Blue Panther, Atlantis [cage, hair, mask]
Order of entrances

Villano V
Blue Panther
Hijo de Lizmark
Atlantis
Ultimo Guerrero
Dr. Wagner Jr.
Perro Aguayo Jr.
Mistico – starts to get booed (maybe 65/35 for him) and the announcers talk over it.

Mistico big plancha – CHECK!

We’re into the time killing while waiting for the cue to split.

Order of exit
1) Villano V!
the guy who isn’t Julio Cesar and isn’t Valiente is sounding like he’s going to run out of oxygen at any time.
2) Atlantis, leaving UG behind
3) Dr. Wagner Jr.

Mistico big dive #2

4) Ultimo Guerrero
5) Mistico

Perro Jr., Lizmark Jr. and Blue Panther remain. It appears it will be a triangle match from here, which is different – Babe Richard is entering the cage.

6) Perro Aguayo wins his way out.

Holy carp, Blue Panther vs Lizmark Jr. really is your anniversary main event. I hope CMLL doesn’t make me very sad in the next five minutes.

7) BLUE PANTHER MAKES LIZMARK JR SUBMIT!

Lizmark Junior’s stats:
Name: Juan Carlos Baños
Experience: 16 years
Hometown: Acapulco, Guerrero

I’ll post show reports links here if they turn up in the next couple of hours. Otherwise, see you tomorrow and thanks for reading.

  1. It’s about to start… I’m not sure but I think Estadio W covers most (if not all) shows from Arena Mexico, so we need to keep an eye on that link to avoid depending on posters.

  2. While I don’t mind the discussion about the MLB playoff race, I was hoping they’d be onto lucha by now.

  3. Okay, now that the Cubs have won and my car gets good reception on the Brewers game, I’ve got to drive for a little bit. I shall return.

  4. The Leafs won so I could go 0-7 and still be happy.:)

I’m saving up my correct predictions for when it counts…

Next year’s Gran Alternativa! GO ZAYCO!

  5. The way things are headed tonight, the Cubs are going to clinch the division about 10 minutes before the main event. A little busy tonight.

  6. Even if you don’t like La Mascara, I think you have to hope he does something more with his career so he can be referred to as something besides a former national welterweight champ.

    Rudos take fall 1.

  7. I love Khali Greene.

It’s very apparent I’m going to end up doing 50 comments on my own site tonight. Oh well.

  8. I can tell La Mascara is having an awful match even though I’m listening on radio.

Valiente on guest commentary is awesome.

  9. –2) Tecnicos (with help from Que Monito)
    “””””””

With help? He did everthing!!! Why tecs never get DQd for that…

  10. You can’t DQ someone as cute as Monito!

I wonder how long it will take for this to get online. I’m guessing by tomorrow afternoon the main event is up with the rest to follow by night time.

  11. dive level of difficulty rating sounds like a fantastic idea for when I’m bored.

Crowd seemed to be into the tecs at points but not much into La Mascara winning.

Also, I just realized the Brewers game is on ESPN and I’m a dope.

  12. I guess all the rudos are coming out to Guerreros music, but separately.

It’s probably a good sign Ephesto is wrestling here, because they would’ve had to kill him if Mistico was forced to miss this show.

  13. Tecnicos won. I didn’t catch that… but Valiente said that this match might be the first match rudos win in the night. This is not looking good for BP.

  14. Ya Veremos on CH.52 MVS is supposed to be doing some kind of live updates from the show as well. I know Cubsfan gets that station. Might be worth checking out.

  15. Totally off topic but I’m confused…

Wasn’t there a CMLL mini who changed their gimmick recently to become Electrico? Or did Celestial change his gimmick to become someone new?

  16. The cage match is actually perfect for radio b/c it’s all about the drama of climbing. Hard to follow a wrestling match via radio.

  17. Weird rule thrown in, “any one victim to a DQ, would automatically leave the cage and the agressor will remain there”. Villano V can now breath easier since he doesn’t have to climb the cage…

  18. If you were Atlantis and Ultimo Guerrero, wouldn’t you just yank each other’s masks to get out of the match?

    (This will not happen.)

  19. I always wondered as a kid why Andre wouldn’t just enter a Royal Rumble and lay down on his back till one guy was left.
