09/16 AAA TV Lineup (Guadalajara – Verano de Escandalo)

Previous: 08/31 (Moroleon), 09/09 (Chihuahua), 09/13 (Dolores, Hidalgo)

AAA TV (SUN) 09/16 Plaza de Toros Nuevo Progress de Guadalajara [El Reforma via Jazzo @ el martinete]
1) Aero Star, Estrellita, Octagoncito, Rey Cometa vs Mini Chessman, Alfa, Fabi Apache, Gran Apache
2) Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Super Calo vs Decnis, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
3) Crazy Boy, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera vs Antifaz, Histeria, Mr. Niebla, Psicosis II
4) La Parka Jr., Laredo Kid, Latin Lover, Ricky Marvin vs Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuki, Ron Killings, Sabu
5) El Mesias vs Chessman or Charly Manson [AAA HEAVY]
6) Charly Manson, Chessman, Cibernetico, Zorro vs Cuervo, Escoria, Espiritu, Ozz [dome cage, hair]

Air Date (approx)
Mexico: 09/30
US: 10/27

Chessman and Charly will meet the taping before to determine the finalist. I don’t think either will be working double – Parka getting subbed in seems like a good bet. Still seems underwhelming.

September 4 Post

Ovaciones is reporting this lineup

* Mesias vs Charly Manson vs Chessman [AAA HEAVY]
* Hell Brothers vs La Secta [dome cage, hair]

When did AAA turn into Blue’s Clues? How many times are they going to do that cage match this year?

Also, the tournament doesn’t make any sense at all. Also, it sucks that Mesias is going to beat up both Charly and Chessman by himself (because Mesias is winning the title), even though they should have a brain and beat him up first. I can’t imagine Charly and Chessman looking like anything but goofs after that match.

ALSO, so I guess the Hell Brothers would be Cibernetico and two guys who aren’t Hell Brothers (Zorro and Parka?).

(I’ll bump this post up whenever we get a full lineup.)

  1. AAA turned into Blue’s Clues right around the time it turned into the Satan Worshiping league, where an ugly bitch with a snake is brought out for no apparant reason.

  2. “AAA turned into Blue’s Clues right around the time it turned into the Satan Worshiping league, where an ugly bitch with a snake is brought out for no apparant reason.”

To quote Ron Simmons, “DAMN!!” LOL.

I’m still trying to figure out the Blues Clues joke, don’t ask why.

I think the real question is when did AAA break up the Hell Brothers?

  3. What’s Blues Clues?

I’m thinking the HB and Mesias will be working twice if that lineup sticks.

Your summary of the title match sounds about right. Either there will be a coin flip to see who gets to skip the first match and Mesias will win, leaving Charly and Chessman to beat the shit out of each other and Mesias to beat whoever is left standing OR Mesias will just beat them both with outside interference from La Secta while Ciber, Zorro and Parka are nowhere to be found.

Love how the 8 man tournament turned into a 9 man tournament and is now a triangle match final with no semi-finals taking place. Pena’s memory lives on!

  4. I tell ya, Charly’s turning rudo. It’s almost the end of the year and isn’t Charly going to retire at the end of the year?

And Blues Clues is a kids show in America where some guy follows a fake Blue dog around looking for paw prints that are clues.

  5. Reforma has the complete lineup now. I gotta get to work so no time to type it out but I looks like a solid show top-to-bottom and includes the title match that makes no sense except it says Chessman/Charly have to face each other to decide who gets to take on Mesias. Not sure why Mesias gets a free ride to the finals.

    Opener looks AWESOME!

  6. La Parka, Latin Lover, Ricky Marvin y Laredo Kid se verán las caras con Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuky, Sabú y Ron Killings.

Is missing from the list… I think that make it less underwhelming, although I doubt Killings will work, so they would put XPac. They need to make double shots to have Mesias in the Dome cage.

  7. Fixed. I really suck at this.

Blue Clues IS a kids show, but that’s not exactly the joke. I don’t know if they’re still doing this, but there was a theory that repetition would help the very young kids watching learn faster. So, they’d air an episode on Monday (with basic puzzle solving bits, as the all had)…and then repeat it on Tuesday…and then repeat it on Wednesday…and then repeat it on Thursday and so hopefully on Friday, the kids watching are figuring on the clues as quick or quicker than the people on the show.

It feels like we’re on Saturday already.

  8. It’s a good card – but it misses Super Fly not being in it. (Oriental too, but that’s just me) :)

They should ahve pushed Parka up to the main so that non-one was on double duty, and put Super Fly in with Marvin and Laredo.

Real strange that he’s nowhere to be seen because he’s been quite a prominent attraction in AAA for the past 3/4 months especially.

  9. DVDVR is down so I’ll post my predictions here:

    1) Aero Star, Estrellita, Octagoncito, Rey Cometa vs Mini Chessman, Alfa, Fabi Apache, Gran Apache

    – It’s just like the Triplemania opener… except minus the trannies. And we all saw how great that Triplemania opener was so I expect this match to be the sleeper of the night. This could be the match we’re all talking about by the time the show ends. Tecnicos are going over.

    2) Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Super Calo vs Decnis, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido

    – Wouldn’t be surprised if another new Guapo showed up here. AAA doesn’t often do teams of 3 guys vs 3 guys. What happens when the Bellos Stone need to face the Mexican Powers or Vipers? Perhaps they’ll recruit Alan and give him a name like Alan Stone II to confuse the shit out of cubs. Or maybe Alan will join the Guapos. The Stone brothers should be taking this. Might be bloody.

    3) Crazy Boy, Extreme Tiger, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera vs Antifaz, Histeria, Mr. Niebla, Psicosis II

    – Random match just to get these guys on the show. Like the old days of Vipers vs Vatos Locos matches… only not as good. Tons of moves probably. Hopefully Antifaz and his injured leg steer clear of Joe Lider and Crazzy Boy’s messy double team moves. Vipers will probably go over to start a feud with these teams and we’ll probably see them married to each other till Guerra De Titanes.

    4) La Parka Jr., Laredo Kid, Latin Lover, Ricky Marvin vs Abismo Negro, Kenzo Suzuki, Ron Killings, Sabu

    – Meltzer said Scott Hall was supposed to be in Killings’ spots but missed his flight. So I guess Killings is coming or they’ll find someone else. What is The Animal doing anyhow? This will probably be the most underrated match of the night as everyone should be working but Sabu could easily turn it into a mess just by himself. Hopefully Marvin gets to show his stuff off with Abismo who seems to be the only rudo that can catch for him here. Tecnicos have to go over so I’m betting the rudos cheat to win.

    5) El Mesias vs Chessman or Charly Manson [AAA HEAVY]

    – This is Chessman’s night to shine. I know everyone thinks Mesias is winning but everyone also thinks Emilio is winning at Arena Mexico.:) Chessman got laid out on the taping a few days ago so this will be his revenge and he’ll spear Mesias through a table or two and win the belt he deserves. He’ll probably lose it almost immediatly to a near-crippled Konnan but he’ll win it nonetheless.

    6) Charly Manson, Chessman, Cibernetico, Zorro vs Cuervo, Escoria, Espiritu, Ozz [dome cage, hair]

    – For a match that hasn’t had much hype, I can’t see any of the big names dropping it. Most like Espiritu or Cuervo will be sacrificed to Cibernetico as the Ciber/Mesias build continues. Yes cubs, we’ll probably just have another Ciber/Mesias cage match at Guerra De Titanes.:) They might tease something like having Ciber go out early and Mesias/Espiritu left with Manson only for Ciber to re-enter the cage and save his buddy, then Mesias will run away and Ciber will beat Espiritu. Hopefully Chessman doesn’t try to commit suicide again.

    Should be an amazing show.

  10. AAA has 1:45 for today, NFL might go over so maybe they’re pre-planning that or something. Maybe they’ll skip Chihuahua (that’s why nobody knows about it) and go to the Dolores Hidalgo taping, which is the place where the independence move started exactly 197 years, so it would make sense.

If every show airs and even with Verano only airing in one show, the Peña Memorial show will be done with no buildup at all, which is kind of weird to do.

  11. I hope they just stay in order or at least air the unaired episode in the States.

Aero Star bled a ton on that Hidalgo show…

  12. 1) Mascarita Divina & Octagoncito vs Jerrito Estrada & Mini Chessman
    2) Aero Star, Rey Cometa, Super Fly vs Alfa, Gran Apache, Toxico AAA

    Were not on the show.

  13. They are having

    6) Chessman & Zorro vs Cuervo & Ozz [cage]

already, so I guess this show becomes the most disappointing of the year.

  14. 3 & 6, although the run in has already taken place so I guess they’ll air something else before we get to the end.

  15. Besides today’s show, there’s a 9/30 taping for Villahermosa, Tabasco, Toreo on 10/07, then Aguascalientes and Orizaba, 18 & 20.

The show ended with spots from the 3 matches they showed, that leads me to think that Minis, Charly vs Waltman and Apache’s match won’t make it to the GALA US version.

  16. Boo.:( CMLL TV wins this week by default even without seeing it yet! heh

Canal 34 didn’t air anything except the 4 way mask match they’ve shown before.

DeporTV website refuses to put up the new CMLL clips with MINI’S footage.

  17. All those tapings makes me wonder if Konnan is going back to the old format of combining tapings for TV broadcast.

  18. At least is only one guy giving the results, instead of the AAAMania debacle with a handful of reports giving all kind of outcomes.
