4) Rayman b Sangre Azteca
5) Alex Koslov, Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Casas b Mephisto, Toxico (Guadalajara), Ultimo Guerrero

Toxico replaced Toscano. Not sure who filled in for him in his match. Sangre’s losing a lot of singles matches here for someone who’s a single champion. Maybe there’s a title match coming up?

5) Alex Koslov, Marco Corelone, Vampiro vs Damián 666, Lizmark Jr., Mr. Águila
6) Averno, LA Park, Último Guerrero vs Dr. Wagner Jr., el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, LA Park

This is a rescheduled show due to the hurricane, if I recall right. The article says Mistico will be on the Ultimo Guerrero team, but doesn’t specify a fourth guy on the other team, so I think he’ll just be seconding them (and maybe doing spots.) Some of the 4th and 5th match participants have changed – Lizmark got moved to the rudo side, just in time to make that wrong too.

Boxere Erik Morales is starting up WBC Wrestling World Championship, a lucha libre division of boxing’s World Boxing Council. They’re going to use the boxing infrastructure to promote wrestling events with El Hijo del Santo. They’ll be promoting in Japan and the Phillapenes. It reads like this is an offshoot of the usual Tijuana stuff – both Rey Misterio Sr. and Benjamin Mora (WWA) are specifically mentioned as being involved.

CMLL CAN52 Guerreros del Ring #93 recap; taped 08/24 and 08/26, aired 09/01.

(Trying to make my links look better for google.)

Nothing earth shaking here. I think Koslov looked as good as he has in a while, and both matches were on okay–>good. Leono was the exception, and the crowd really didn’t like him. I’m not sure if the crowd had enough of him blowing spots, or if he’s just a pretty boy tecnico in an arena filled with rudo fans, but it wasn’t his night.

As noted in the recap, the Dr. Wagner interviews are mirroring a similar feature in Luchas 2000, and it’s all timed to coincide with the anniversary with his passing. I think they’ve got three weeks of interviews, unless they’re doing different ones on FSE.

FSE should turn up by Wednesday.
