I’ve read the latest Noti AAA update, and I am more confused than before I read it. That’s not supposed to be the idea!
As Chui noted elsewhere, the first story mentions the AAA NOAH guys flying out to Japan that night, Wednesday, which would completely conflict with the booked card for tonight’s TV Taping. However, if you scan down to the second story, it says they’re leaving August 16th, Thursday. I tend to believe the news was just posted a day too soon, and there’s no changes to tonight’s card, but that’s still going to be a heck of a travel night for Laredo Kid and the rest.
For what it’s worth, Oriental is mentioned as working in Tlalnepantla last night.
Anyway, whomever is there, AAA definitely has a taping tonight. Announced highlights was Laredo, Zorro, Cuervo and Ozz all filling in the usual Hell Brothers/Legion main event. Cibernetico, Charly and Kenzo aren’t off, they’re just in first round matches for the AAA Heavyweight title instead. You can check that link for the full listing.
Anyone not picking Cibernetico over Niebla and Kenzo over Charly? We don’t know that the winners of these matches will face each other next, but that seems to be a sure bet if they do, and probably even if they don’t. (The only alternative I can figure is someone deciding Mesias/Charly would be better than Mesias/Chessman. Niebla ain’t winning in a million years.)

The Palacio de los Deportes, in Villahermosa, Tabasco, will be shuttered till mid 2008. Among other events, PROLLET promotes lucha libre shows in the area, and they’re being blamed. They’ve overfilled the building in the past, and the seating areas have been ruled unsafe. The building is 40 years old, and the plan is to bring in some people to evaluate the best way to get it back in shape.
Mundo Hispano writes about a lucha libre show in Salt Lake City, Utah. I would not have guessed Salt Lake City. I did guess Misterioso Senior was involved, and he is bleeding right at the top of the page.
