That main event look new! How did that happen? It’s still a Hell Brother vs a Legion guy, but variety never hurt.

I hope there’s more than 4 guys in the tournament, but I never feel like I really know with AAA. I think Mr. Niebla being in this match as well as the last taping means Abismo’s MIA again. I’d bet large sums of cash that Chessman faces Mesias in a first round match. In fact, I ought to guess the other participants while I still can

After both X-Pac and Killings have appeared to be replaced on shows, I’m not sure totally what their status is. I bet Konnan was hoping to be involved, but obviously that’s not going to work. If Abismo does turn up, maybe he’d take Apache’s spot.

We haven’t actually gotten it confirmed that it’s an elimination tournament…

In the segunda, Alfa is Fabi Apache’s corner, and Kaoru Ito is with Ayako in the random cameo of the week.

I really ought to stop predicting these things, because I clearly have no idea what’s going on. Not there’s logic being used here – why would you air two matches that went two falls? Why would you not split up the angles, especially since neither were on this show last week.

Both were build up matches, but they were completely different builds. The rudas destroyed the tecnicas for 90% of the opener, and Amapola earned her title shot with a definitive pinfall victory. It could not be easier to see why Amapola should get the shot, and it should be a pretty good match tomorrow.

The mens trios was the reverse – Tony was embarrassed and humiliating for two falls, losing both falls, and just made the hair challenge in desperation. It never was actually accepted on this show, but I think they ran out of time. I’m leaning more towards Tony after seeing this match – you’d think he’d get a chance to redeem himself, unless he’s on his way out for a while.

I’m so convinced Rosa Negra is the best unknown worker in CMLL. Mostly this because she’s on once every couple months and is a woman, but it’s also because the second tier female rudas are much better than the equivalent tecnicas. This was match where even Medussa looked good. Meanwhile, Marcela was out of it after her head bounced off the canvas, and Luna Magica didn’t have a concussion excuse. India was cut out her, and again I don’t know if it’s editing or performance.

The Villanos/Wagner main event was exactly what I thought it’d be. I think I typed a lot just to push myself thru it. First match was far more interesting to me. While the announcers tried to push the Wagner “rudo? vs Mistico?” stuff, this was worked exactly like it would’ve been before that bit started.

This week’s show should be up in about an hour.

Just as Perro Aguayo returns, Superluchas reports Mistico has suffered a tear in a ligament of his left knee. Mistico says it started from a Perro kick. He’s supposed to rest for a while, but he’s going to keep wrestling before long.

Main event was an elimination match. Mesias, replacing X-Pac, defeated Chessman and Mesias to win.

Mr. Niebla replaced Abismo Negro, and the DQ was caused by the debuting Escorpion Negro running in. He’s a northern Mexico indy guy, and they’ve got him listed as a new Viper. I guess they’re going to keep adding Vipers till they have 4 around at any time.

Superluchas has finishes and times. Of note in the other matches, Laredo Kid pinned Apache.

Main event is as expected, with Perro fouling and pinning Mistico for the win. Panther got his mask yanked off post match. They’re pushing Panther vs Lizmark.

Semimain sounds like it had a mess of a finish. Depending on which report you read, it was either a two fall win for the tecnicos with the rudos being DQed in the first fall excessive violence, or a three fall win for the tecnicos with Ultimo yanking Wanger’s mask. It sounds like not everyone (in the ring) was clear on the first fall finish, and it caused chaos. Wagner and Ultimo made challenges post match.

Sombra did not have a good night.

Ovaciones confirms the rumor floating around message boards – Halloween’s gone from the Perros (and CMLL) for now. Not sure what/if this means about the Mexican Trios titles. For it’s part, CMLL mentions Perro is looking for TWO new members of their group.
