07/14: new tag champs, next week’s lineup, GdR

CMLL (FRI) 07/13 Arena Mexico [ESTO, ovaciones, Galeno del Mal @ box y lucha, Mr. Justice @ El Martinete]
1) Metálico & Sombra de Plata b Artillero & Pólvora
2) Pequeño Damian 666 b Bam Bam, Pequeño Olímpico, Bracito de Oro, Fantasy, Electrico, Pequeño Halloween, Mr. Aguilita, Fire [ciber]
3) Alex Koslov, Mascara Purpura, Stuka Jr. b Damián 666, Euforia, Texano Jr.
4) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., La Sombra b Atlantis, Olímpico, Sangre Azteca
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Último Guerrero b Místico & Negro Casas [CMLL TAG]

Wagner and Ultimo are the 22nd CMLL Tag Team Champions. This is Ultimo’s 4th reign, and first without Rey Bucanero. This is also Wagner’s 4 reign, and with his fourth different partner.

Wagner got away with a foul on Mistico to win the match. Reports are very high on the match – Ovaciones seemed particularly ecstatic about how the whole thing went down. Mistico now has ONLY three belts.

Elsewhere on the card, Sombra had one bad bump in his semifinal, but rallied from there. Bam Bam did indeed get screwed, Mini Damian pinning him with feet on the ropes. Mini Halloween was with those two as the last three, so it’s clear build to the hair match. Haven’t seen who beat Mini Olimpico, which you’d think would be a meaningful bit.

How soon will Wagner and Guerrero put up the belts?

CMLL (FRI) 07/20 Arena Mexico
1) Moltov & Sensei vs Apocalipsis & Ramstein
2) India Sioux, Luna Magica, Marcela vs La Nazi, Medusa, Rosa Negra
3) Felino, Mascara Purpura, Maximo vs Misterioso II, Satanico, Virus
4) La Mascara, La Sombra, Marco Corelone vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
5) Blue Panther, Dos Caras Jr., Volador Jr. vs Damain 666, Hector Garza, Terrible
6) Mistico & Negro Casas vs Dr. Wagner Jr. & Ultimo Guerrero [CMLL TAG]

Yea, that soon. There’s a real chance the title just bounces back after a week.

shows what I know: A vignette aired for “Judas Mesias” on Thursday’s TNA show, which will apparently still end up being Ricky Banderas despite the Konnan/TNA fallout. I have no idea what this means for Mesias and AAA, but it’s something to watch at TripleMania and Leon.

CMLL GdR #86 has
07/07 Coliseo: Bam Bam, Pequeno Olimpico, Ultimo Dragoncito DQ Mr. Aguilita, Pequeno Damian 666, Pequeno Halloween
07/05 Mexico: Katsuhiko Nakajima, Kensuske Sasaki, Último Dragón b Arkangel de la Muerte, Dr. X, Texano Jr.
Outside The Ring w/Loco Max. Loco’s tiny bedroom is not exactly selling me on wrestlers as big stars.

  1. why doesn’t Konnan’s team just go ahead and start wearing NWO shirts?

every couple weeks, I forget about how much I dislike the top of the card booking and watch the AAA show all the way through. And then I regret it all over again.

  2. why doesn’t Konnan’s team just go ahead and start wearing NWO shirts?
    “”””””””””””””””

’cause Perros del Mal beat them to it.

  3. AAAMania SPOILERS!!

Packed house!!! (As if there was any doubt even with huge soccer games and what not)

  4. Maybe the spoilers should be posted in the predicition thread? I’m just thinking some people might not want spoilers and read all this just to hear about TV and news comments, then be angry to find Triplemania results. (even though I’m sure cubs will be posting them later today anyways) I dunno…

  5. “Baby Marvin is already under the guidance of Gran Apache, training 2 hours at his gym, giving Faby more than enough spare time to go out on dates.”

That’s just bad! LOL. Although Fabi makes a convincing Ruda, the kind your girlfriend or wife or female friend wants to kick her ass.

“Um, why is Latin Lover not wearing a neckbrace or even selling the martinete he received last week from Abismo Negro?”

Cause thats not Latin lover, it’s Bill “When have I ever sold anything?” Goldberg

  6. So long the perfect 100…

Hopefully, all those cable news channels will never see the skit with Faby and Gran Apache tossing Marvin back and forth, or else…
