I’m shocked… not!
Proving the age old theory… stop trying to predict crazy outcomes to CMLL shows. *ALWAYS* go with the easy results involving the least amount of thinking.
Still, I’m happy. Another win for Mistico, Sombra moving up and getting a nice run before the crowd destroys him come September and Wagner going back rudo finally.
Something is up with the mini’s lately…
BTW, how come you aren’t happy Chui? Not liking La Sombra?
=(
my team was ultimo\euforia, wagner turned rudo? nice!

He’s tecnico.
In a way, Ultimo/Euforia won since they’ll main eventing next week as well. It sounds as if it was a good tourney, or as if it at least had a couple of good matches. Sombra and Mistico apparently got boooooooooooooooed beyond belief and still did OK (I mean, they didn’t got killed, although I’ve not heard about any crazy dives) so maybe it won’t be that easy to break Sombra down. Damn, he needs to turn rudo fast!!
I wonder if Wagner gets a percentage from Sombra and Euforia, a la agent deal, I mean, his two proteges got a big push right away (and Misterioso did so last year). I think Wagner will take Villano V’s mask, CMLL is in peril of having Wagner pull a Konnan trick and jump with all of “his people”.
I thought hometown boys superseed the tecnico/rudo deal.:/
What aired on your FSE last night? Should I look forward to mini’s airing today as well as the Gran Alternativa?
I’m still confused as to who CMLL is expecting to cheer for Sombra.
When Mistico began, he got cheers from kids, from the tecnico fans, from the hardcore fans who loved his new spots, etc. The only people that resented him were rudo fans but that was a natural tecnico/rudo thing.
Sombra is being boo’ed by the hardcore fans that resent his push, the kids aren’t into him yet and the rudo fans hate him. So all he has cheering for him is that small tecnico section that sits so far away from the live mic’s that you can barely hear them. Unless the kids come around due to Mistico/Sombra teaming, this push is going to turn into a disaster faster than you can imagine.
If you are going to push to get someone over, at least have them appeal to a certain fanbase so even if they aren’t completely over they still have their own cheering section, i.e. Koslov and Corleone with the ladies.
I don’t know if it’s just because it’s earlier or what but the XEJ TV is up to 358k p/s with me which is like watching regular TV pretty much! Let’s hope it stays that way till CMLL airs.
The rudo/tecnico deals superseeds the hometownboyness…
FSE had:
3) Leono, Mictlan, Valiente vs Goto, Ohara, Okumura
5) Dos Caras Jr., Marco Corelone, Rey Bucanero vs Tozcano, Ultimo Guerrero, Universo 2000
Aparently, the Ultimo/Euforia vs Villano V/Super Comando went by with nothing to write home about, which might mean that feud is dropped and maybe they’ll put Panther to car… try to carry Villano V.
Sombra is already getting support from some “hardcore” internet marks raving him not only going toe to toe with Negro Navarro taking it to the mat, but beating him. So they might get into a situation where Mistico becomes obsolete, of course, Tony Salazar will erase Sombra down the road, just like that guy who’s LA Park cousin, Vola-something.
There is a pic of the ending of the Brillante Jr vs Camorra masks match in the Mistyk link provided.
I wonder if that FSE episode will make it to the States since there is no scheduled airing this week and next week.
So if GdR got the Arena Mex women and Coliseo semi-main… MINI’S ON TV TODAY!:D Well hopefully. They could just show the women’s match from Arena Mexico but let’s hope not. Mini’s + Alternativa would be the best show of the year.
Saw the Esto pictures from last night and it looks like some guys had new UGLY outfits (Purpura and Flash in particular).
Woman’s match airs, how could they lose the opportunity to show a bald Diana la Cazadora and prove to the whole world that CMLL is unpredictable.
…should have used “miss” instead of “lose” and a “?” at the end.
Word is that the Mistico/Sombra vs Heavy/Nova match was bad, that’s what you get for running tecnicos vs tecnicos matches.
I was thinking that’s what you get for booking Heavy Metal.
Has there ever been a guy who goes to the main event in just 3 and a half months? (without being somewhere else, of course)
How long back have we to go to find a 17 year old main eventing EMLL?
I don’t think there has ever been a 17 year old main eventing Arena Mexico.
I can think of a couple of weird guys brought in during the dead period in 93/94 that were instant main eventers but that was when nobody was going to Arena Mexico so it’s not like it meant anything.
Rayman as Hijo De Rayo was an instant main eventer but he was something like 22 which even then was CMLL breaking tradition for putting a guy so young up top.
I was even thinking if that could be extended to anywhere in Mexico (UWA/AAA) or the world for that matter. Weird that CMLL is really going completely “out of character”.
My favorite wrestler was working AAA main events at 19.
Oro at 21 for CMLL.
Aguayo Jr in a stip match at AAA, he could have been 16 and better at that time then right now…
If Sombra doesn’t screw badly, CMLL won’t have any excuse to not push younger guys harder.
