03/23: Mexico change, AULL, Tijuana

Ovaciones notes a change in tonight’s lineup…

CMLL (FRI) 03/23 Arena Mexico
1) Mini Olimpico & Ultimo Dragoncito vs Mini Violencia & Pierrothito
2) Leono, Maximo, Sagrado vs Goto, Ohara, Okumura
3) Alex Koslov, Rey Bucanero, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Misterioso II
4) Atlantis, Sangre Azteca, Ultimo Guerrero vs Hector Garza, Mr. Aguila, Perro Aguayo Jr. [CMLL TRIOS]
5) Marco Corelone, Mistico, Shocker vs Black Warrior, Olimpico, Universo 2000

Little late in the week to suddenly be making the semifinal a title match, but that’s what we’ve got. CMLL’s been pushing the idea of Sangre getting called up to the big leagues here and having a change to stick with GdA if he performs well – I think winning the trios titles would qualify. (Though I’m betting against a title change.)

Alexis put the poster for next week’s Dos Leyendas show here. Note that with Santo split from CMLL, they’ve changed one of the legends. Tickets are $5 to $27.

AULL (SAT) 03/17 Arena Lopez Mateos [the gladiatores]
1) Chico de Barrio b Aguila Azteca
2) Angel de Fuego & Euforia b Syka & Yakuza
3) Tortuguillo Ninja I, Tortuguillo Ninja II, Tortuguillo Ninja III b Mini Angel, Mini Demonio, Mini Rebelde
4) Ogun, Robin Maravilla, Terry 2000 b Conde Bartok, Negro Navarro, Psicopata
5) Alex Koslov, Hijo de Lizmark, Villano III b Black Warrior, Okumura, Satanico

Lizmark Jr. was LATE, so they had a break to wait for him. Dandy did commentary and teased fights with Satanico and Villano III (the IWRG fued) after the match. The AULL Tag Team Tournament ends on 03/31

AULL (SAT) 03/31 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) Hermano Muerte I & Hermano Muerte II vs Samba & Venum
2) Dr. Karonte I & Dr. Karonte Jr. vs Sasaky & Yakuza
3) Pierroth Jr., Sadico, Satanico vs El Dandy, Gallo Tapado Jr., Ultimo Gladiador
4) Cerebro Negro & Fantasma de la Opera vs Epidemia & Robin Maravilla and Dravek I & Dravek II [AULL TAG, FINAL]

Ovaciones has a story about Super Crazy in it’s print edition, but it doesn’t appear uploaded. ESTO has an article seemingly about Super Crazy, but the text is the Arena Mexico preview. Conspiracy!

indy (FRI) 03/23 Auditorio de Tijuana Lineup
5) Damian 666, Halloween, Terrible vs Fobia, Angel Mensajero, Psycho

This is a commission run charity show for the local asylum.

More Santo vs the Enemies of the Sea articles – ESTO, Cambio Sonora, Todito. EHUI has a general Santo article.

Wrestlers in Tuxtla Gutierrez are trying to get their new local Comision de Lucha Libre certified by the national commission. They’ve split from the boxing commission. (El Heraldo de Chiapas)

Pulso SLP talks to Rossy Moreno, Princesa Blanca, Marcela, and Martha Villalobos about women in lucha libre.

La Voz has an article about updated version of Guerrera de Titanes in Argentina, calling itself 100% Lucha.

The Gladiatores posted edition #34 today. I want to point you to the IWRG 03/15 show – scroll down to the semimain, and look at all the empty seats.

CMLL on FSE #5 (09/10/06)

Matches taped 09/03/06

And, here we go the clipped episodes. The second segment of a women’s trios was cut out, and it probably wasn’t the worst thing in the world. Still, if you’re going to show any part of a match, it’s pretty obvious to show the ending of it. Showing just the beginning is pointless (and annoying when you’re getting six entrances – an underrated factor in why there’s not as much wrestling as there should be on some of these shoes.)

I enjoyed the main event, and not just because Eclipse was at a point where they didn’t want him doing anything at all to anyone (if you’re reading this in 2010, Eclipse may still be there.) Koslov, Felino, and Sagrado were good here.
