Mesias (Messiah in English) is Ricky Banderas; we’ll see if that sticks around longer than Asesor Cibernetica. KrisZ says Cibernetico was put thru a flaming table, returned, and won the match when Mesias and Scott Steiner screwed up.

AAA announced a Hall of Fame, and immediately inducted Antonio Pena and Rey Misterio Jr. (who was there). They’ll be running a show in Japan this September as an anniversary special – KrisZ has this as on 9/3.

  1. Sounds like an awesome show. Messiah sounds like a really cool name. Hopefully he has those scars/burns on his face like on that MTV wrestling. He had some really good matches in 2006 so I hope he stays around in AAA. And hopefully Steiner/Rhyno/TNA stay away.

  2. Well, it is the Toreo de Cuatro Caminos in Naucalpan… but it is better just to say Toreo and everyone would know what are you talking about…

  3. I must have some sort of brain lock, because i do this with this building everytime.

  4. AAA.com adds Taiji Ishimori/Kaoma Jr. to the fourth match. I read Taiji was involved in a report but figured he replaced someone since I never heard an extra rudo involved. Makes sense now.

  5. Wait, you’re saying Kaoma Jr. actually teamed up with the Vipers? That’s crazy talk.

  6. That Taiji was pretty good last time I saw him in AAA. Way better than Marufuji. I was expecting the opposite.

As for Kaoma Jr, I’ve never seen him so I’m glad I’m finally be able to see him. I always saw his name listed with the Vipers but wasn’t sure if he was hurt or something.

  7. …and Ishimori got hurt!! Oh well… I wonder if they’ll run a single show for Rey de Reyes, they ought to since yesterday held another taping in Leon!!

  8. I don’t even think that’s possible. Isn’t there something like a 35,000 capacity?

  9. Rob, that’s what makes it so impressive. People were stacked on top of each other.

This is coming from the japanese press, the same people who make up stories like Mutoh vs the Rock, WWE/NJPW Dome show, all kinds of crap. I wouldn’t believe anything I hear from the japanese press until I see it happen. That’s just the way it is. A lesson I learned over the past couple of years.

  10. 55,000? Impossible, I think it can hold like 18,000, assuming overflow+unpaying kids, you could get 25,000 and 10,000 turnaround, at most… 35,000 assuming they used giant screens like in that Blue Panther/Love Machine match… maybe the press was talking about 55,000 on all 3 big shows of the weekend (Toreo, Coliseo, Arena Mexico)?

  11. Mexico AAA sponsorship convention “Rey Di Rey Jess 2007”
    現地時間3月18日(日)エル・トレオ・デ・クアトロ・カミノス(メキシコ・ナウカルパン) 観衆55,000人(超満員札止め)
Local time Sun., March 18 El TOREO Di KUATORO KAMINOSU (Mexico now KARUPAN) 55,000 spectators (super-no vacancy House Full)

Yeah this is the Japanese press but they were fed the numbers by NOAH reps.

  12. Question, what is the name of the songs used by the following Luchadores as entrance themes:

    Alan Stone?
    Mexican Powers?
    Zorro?
