AAA Mini Line - 12/30/06
Recapped: 01/05/07

Interview: with the guys in the next match. Kinda odd, but they must've liked the match and done this after, I'm assuming. it's not long, just about 15 seconds. I guess they do these before each show? Terry 2000 does NOT have his AULL Lightweight Championship belt with him.

Rivera and Morales are still together. Jesus is the third man.

Match 1: Sepulturero vs Terry 2000
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Terry 2000 up and over sunset flip
Match Time: 4:30
Notes: They get entrances too. Did they run short on this show? Hijo de Tirantes is the ref. Sepulturero is, as you'd expect if you didn't already know, another guy from AULL land. If AULL is mentioned here, I miss it. I do miss a lot.

The crowd loudly counts along on a countout in this match, so they're a bit fired up. Whoever does promotion for this show deserves a gold star. Not only does it appear full, but it appears full of people very excited to be here. I can make out a promotion banner on a balcony one side, but there's a glare which prevents me from figuring out the name off the plastic banner. Simple local match (with nothing that angers me!), with Terry getting in a dive before the finish.

Why did we get like a 20 second teaser bumper for the next match (with all the highlights) going to the break, but no entrances?

Match 2: Mascarita Divina, Octagoncito vs Mini Charly Manson, Mini Chessman
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Tecnicos (Octagoncito Abdominal Stretch Cradle Mini Chessman)
Match Time: 8:36
Notes: Again Arturo forgets it's one fall. Must happen every show! Mini Charly Manson and Mini Chessman are announced as from the Sect. Again Mini Charly Manson and Mascarita Divina must face each other. It seems like a while since I"ve gotten a minis match, but my viewing order doesn't reflect reality in any fashion. Your ref is Pepe Casas.

The crowd here even starts chanting for Mini Charly Manson. This recap is just going to be marking out over the crowd. Double dive by the tecnicos 2:00 in, with Octagoncito doing a fired up Asai tornillo. He's thrilled to be in front of this crowd. It slows down a bit, particularly on the rudo beatdown, but I still think it's a fine match. Octagoncito is feeling it, because he gets nice air on a Asai Moonsault, and has a nice flying armdrag. He also picks up the pin.

Interview: Mascara Divina & Oriental. This is where having someone who knows what they're doing is handy, because if not for Victor, I dunno that I would've realized Divina and Oriental are ripping the Mexican Powers for being video tape-emulating hardcore-crutch using lousy wrestlers (who are an embarrassment.) They're basically airing the grievances I have with them, on AAA TV, and AAA's totally cool with it because this is a pre-tape. If I missed this, my life would've been a little bit sadder. To be fair, it would've been neater if the people who were accusing Lider & Crazy of being bad rip offs weren't the ex-rip off of Mascara Sagrada (actually slightly better but still not good) and the Japanese-wrestler ripoff (who certainly has watched a tape or two in his day.) But I appreciate the sentiment and totally have a rooting interest in the next match now.

Match 3: Crazy Boy, Joe Lider vs Mascara Divina, Oriental in a AAA Tag Tournament First Round match
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Mexican Powers (Joe Lider armbar Oriental)
Match Time: 13:43
Other Match Notes: Actually, I'm thinking I'm supposed to see the tecnico/rudo split the other way, but c'mon. It does make me wonder - what AAA midcarders do I actually like (who've got a snowball's chance of being pushed?) Apparently I'm not big fans of these two if it's that easy for me to point fingers at them. (Note: Oriental is wearing Ultimo Dragon rip off tights.) The Dark Family and the Barrio Boys have a spot monkey tendencies I'm not down with. I'll have to think about this. Psicosis II is out with his partners, because he's got nothing else to do this show. I think that's him, anyway. Break before the match. Ref is Hijo de Tirantes. Did they only bring two?

Joe Lider teases wrestling in his shirt, and I'd be fine with that. You know, I love it when AAA misspells it's own wrestlers on it's own crawl. Or it's spelled "Alegrije" now. Oriental/Lider have a by the numbers opening exchange. You know, looking at Divina in this match, it kinda seems like it occurred to him that he could add about 3 inches to his waist, and still comfortably be the 'thin' Mascara Sagrada so he decided to go for it. Crazy/Divina have another "zero count covers = technical wrestling!" exchange. Wow, we are ending up with the Mexican Powers playing rudo stooges to the tecnico tricks, including double teams gone wrong, and catching one dive and being bowled over by the other. Crowd favors the Mexican Powers - they're the more established team with cool music and an actual push, why wouldn't they. Working it this way allows the Mexican Powers to get in their wacky double teams - the powerbomb/back cracker combo defies logic, and not in one of those good defying logic ways - because they're supposed to get them. A segment of the crowd doesn't like Divina at all. Arturo completely missed Octagon breaking up a 3 count and starts talking about the match being over. We get double Asai Moonsaults and no one dies, which is good. I like how Divina gets Lider in a submission, and then immediately lets go for no reason at all. It's like he just wanted to show he could do it. Divina looks all sorts of blown up in a late sequence with Crazy Boy. It's big move -> 2 count -> break up time, and he's not good for that. And just as I say that, Oriental gets a longer sequence of near falls, so never mind. Divina about crushes poor Crazy Boy with a plancha to the outside. Crowd seems to die down during a Lider/Oriental sequence, Is Oriental supposed to always take two tries on the headstand? He did it again here. That doesn't look good. Anyway, Oriental does the headstand splash, stands up instead of covering (kinda making it clear he could've had the three) and goes for it again. I think he's jobbing. What do you know, Lider gets his knees up on the next one, and then takes many more steps than needed to get to a winning armbar.

You know, they fit three matches in a hour there. Not long matches, but still.

Vignette: Cuervo and Ozz talk trash to Cibernetico and Charly Manson (who they make fun for keep changing groups while they say in one.) They still got Muerte's back.

Match 4: Cuervo, Ozz vs Charly Manson, Pirata Morgan in a AAA Tag Tournament First Round match
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Cuervo & Ozz
Match Time: 11:05
Other Match Notes: Notice they don't dare make fun of Pirata Morgan. They don't want to be pillaged by the Pirates. Charly showcases his HB shirt. Hey, Copetes is the ref here. That's three. Break before the match. Charly hangs out with some Hell Brothers fans before the match, because he's a good guy now, and gets the fans chanting for - Cibernetico? Well okay. Match time includes nearly 2:00 of pre-match fooling around before the first lockup actually happens.

Crowd chants for Charly. Crowd chants for Pirata! Crowd goes nuts for a Pirata punch. Crow goes nuts-er when he 'accidentally' drops Copetes too. Copetes teases the DQ, of course. Rudo beatdown starts at around 7:30, and again the crowd dies. Copetes is doing the dramatic slow count, even though he would seem to be with the rudos here. Black Family aren't doing much on the beatdown, and the slow counts slow the action down more. Charly Manson kicks out once by grabbing Copetes arm and stopping it from hitting three. I guess that raised his shoulder too. Comeback at around 9, with Pirata leading the way. Things go wrong on a dive, with Charly accidentally toping his partner and Ozz getting Charly with his thru the ropes tornillo. Pirata gets brought back in but manages to roll out of the way of a legdrop and gets a roll up for two. Pirata can't avoid an Ozz chair shot, and he's pinned for the three. We didn't see where Copetes was looking on that one, but the count was super duper slow.

Noti AAA
- Alan Stone has agreed to a hair match with Intocable. Yo, Intocable, I wouldn't listen to Porky when it comes to advice about hair matches.
- Scorpio Jr. and Super Porky have agreed to a hair match.
- Cibernetico surprise return recap.
- Fabi Apache is still missing her son - her dad isn't returning her calls OR her child. Billy Boy is MIA too, but Fabi is less concerned about that.
- Joaquin Roldan is taking Pena's place. They'd like to a build a monument to Pena.

Interview: Alan Stone isn't too thrilled with his so called buddies Scorpio Jr. and Chris Stone throwing him into a pool last week. Scorpio Jr. and Chris Stone promise to make it up to him in hot chicks after he wins his hair match.

That interview was the whole segment.

Match 5: Alan Stone vs Intocable
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Alan Stone (low blow kick)
Match Time: 12:40 (though more like 10:40)
Other Match Notes: Chris Stone is Alan's second/mirror holder. Crowd goes nuts for Intocable. A female fan jumps him, so Intocable goes with it and dances with her and El Elegido. As soon as Intocable takes two steps down the aisle, another female fan grabs Intocable, and as soon as she's off, Intocable gets jumped again - but this time it's Alan Stone and he's punching. Hijo de Tirantes is your ref. Alan ends up throwing Intocable into the crowd, and all the female fans are fine grabbing a piece and helping him up - till he gets hit in a chair again.

Elegido could do a a little more here than wave his towel, seeing as this is all going on outside. Chris even gets some stomps in. Women go nuts when Intocable finally unleashes his abs. Alan has control early AND gets in a low blow with Hijo de Tirantes distracted. Tirantes thinks about the DQ anyway, but of course no. There's three girls cheering for Alan, which he very much appreciates. Intocable starts a comeback, sends Alan out, slides out after him, and gets cranked in the face (and hand and arms) with a chair. That was fun. Hijo de Tirantes and Alan again get into an argument, but still no DQ. Hijo de Tirantes walks over Intocable at one point - that was odd. Relaying a time cue? Crowd tries bringing back Intocable all on their own with a chant but it doesn't take. When Intocable gets his next comeback, he gets in a chair shot and they both end up just over the barricade in the crowd. Both seem pretty exhausted at the 10:00 mark, and this isn't quite as good as past matches. Chris Stone pulls Intocable off the apron, in full view of the ref, and holds him for an Alan dive. Maybe Hijo de Tirantes just knew how that was going, and let it go so Alan would wipe out his brother. Intocable goes up, slips a little, gets all the way up, and plancha both Stones (held in place by Elegido.) Intocable does not have a good Majistral. Chris Stone jumps on the apron and interferes with a kick to Intocable's back, but again Hijo de Tirantes lets it go. Intocable calls Chris Stone up to the apron - Alan is selling, but also up string and watching - and they start yelling. Elegido enters the ring from the other side, Hijo de Tirantes sees him and ushers him out, Chris Stone of course steps right in, holds Intocable, and Alan actually lands the low blow kick. That'll do. Alan and Chris celebrate like they just won the hair match, because that's as close to it happening as they're going to get. Hijo de Tirantes teases overturning it, but c'mon, you had your chance. I like how, after blatantly cheating in front of Hijo de Tirantes multiple times, they had to distract him to win.

Match 6: Hator, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido vs Brazo de Plata Jr., La Parka Jr., Brazo de Plata
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Tecnicos
Match Time: 7:47
Other Match Notes: Does Chris Stone have his own mirror? Huh. Rudos attack before La Parka Jr. makes it out, with Chris Stone giving Plata Jr. some horrendous kicks and punches. Pepe Casas and Tirantes (4th match!) are back out for this one. La Parka Jr. gets attacked as soon as he steps thru the entrance, and we get a break before them match actually starts.

Scorpio cuts open Porky immediately. Rudo beatdown, complete with Chris Stone slipping on a boosted spot, Parka getting taped to the ropes, and Porky bleeding a lot. Tecnicos get the comeback when Scorpio accidentally gets Chris with a chair shot, and Scorpio and Chris get Hator with a bad double clothesline. Intocable runs out, helps the tecnicos, and helps Porky land a top rope splash on Scorpio Jr. This match doesn't interest me much. Scorpio had to stay down a long time for Porky to finally get his balance on the top rope, even with Intocable's help. Parka gets to dance post match. Hator comes back in the ring for some reason, but La Parka ends up kicking him out.

I think they're setting up the two hair matches into one here, but then Hator talks and I have no idea what's going on.

Vignette: Charly Manson has an iPod, I think. Also, some kid wants him to take a message to Cibernetico. It's got a heart on it, but we never actually see if Charly gives it to Ciber.

Match 7: Muerte Cibernetica vs Cibernetico
Gimnasio Agustin Millan de Toluca, EdM, 11/30/06

Winner: Muerte Cibernetico
Match Time: 6:00
Other Match Notes: Ozz and Cuervo are out with Muerte. I hope Muerte gets his own music for Christmas. It kinda dulls the anticipation for Cibernetico when his music plays - it's been playing. They still pop for him pretty huge. Copetes is ref. Chessman is out with his partner. Cibernetico has been working on his "YOU! [points]", it seems. Crowd loves doing an "OLE OLE OLE CIBER CIBER" to the soccer jingle. Everyone - Sect, Hellbrothers, both Cibernetico, get into a fight to start. Tecnicos turn it around after two months, but Espiritu and Escoria appear to retake control. Everyone not in the match finally gets kicked out at about 2:30. Not a good match, but the crowd's into it. Ciber hulks up at 4, but Muerte takes back advantage by getting his boot up on a corner chair. He also gets in a chair toss. Cibernetico ducks a clothesline and chokeslams Muerte shortly after, but Copetes is pulled away form the count by Ozz. Cibernetico argues with Copetes, Copetes argues with the Dark Family, and Muerte low blows Cibernetico. That's it. Dark Family jump Cibernetico after he fall, but Charly Manson rushes out to make the save.

Cibernetico and Muerte exchange words on the mic. I think they agree to the coffin match here.

That's it.
