CMLL FSE - 11/05/06 (#13)
Recapped: 03/29/07
Unmasked: Mascara Ano 2000
Match 1: Alex Koslov, Hombre Sin Nombre, Misterioso II
(c) vs Negro Casas (c), Mascara Purpura, Trueno
Arena Coliseo, 10/03/06
Winner: Rudos
Match Time: 10:29
Approx Rating: A bit off.
Other Match Notes: Trueno is announced as Trueno Jr. I don't think
Trueno teams up with Negro Casas often. Negro does the pre-match interview.
1: Koslov starts out on the ground with Purpura, wearing a bandana on his head. That looks strange. I think the idea is to put two English speaking guys together to start off (since Purpura is a secret Floridian), but they don't work to well. Misterioso gets Negro down as much any rudo gets a tecnico down in these opening exchange, but Negro rallied back, getting a drop toe hold and a crossface. Misterioso gives, but no one every really signals it, I guess. Meanwhile, Trueno jumps to the top, and off into the ring with a reverse tope for Hombre Sin Nombre. Purpura sends out Alex with an armdrags, and the tecnicos chase him into the crowd.
2: Negro and Koslov wrestle for a bit, till Negro socks Alex with a punch and Alex rolls for safety. Misterioso and Purpura, Misterioso planning spectator while Purpura does a lot of flips, one of which actually matters. Trueno gets Hombre Sin Nombre, and gets in nothing before they start the beatdown. That's unfortunate. Triple boot for him. It takes a while before they do anything with Purpura, and they're not really on the same page for the cavernaria around the ropes/dropkick spot. They got much better at that. Trueno back in - Negro's helping Purpura and not getting beat, smart him - and Trueno gets a double face first powerbomb. Negro in, and he's pinned after a dropkick to the face.
Promo: Emilio talks up the hair match.
3: Negro gets set up, in the middle, so Alex can do the hat kick dance. This time, the dropkick to the face is not quite enough. Match has gone to on one ones for whatever reason. Negro escapes and tags in Trueno, who actually gets in a moment of offense before being beat down. Alex hands him off to Misterioso, and Trueno gets in one tilt-a-whirl backbreaker before Hombre Sin Nombre takes over him. Shoulderbreaker looks odder than normal, and Purpura has to dropkick break it up. Purpura in, and he backdrops Hombre Sin Nombre. Tag back to Misterioso, who throws Purpura around. Purpura comes back with a drop toe hold. Purpura dropkicks Misterioso out, and then tags out to Negro. Hombre Sin Nombre comes in to face him, but he wants Alex and chops him hard to prove it. Negro sneaks in an eye poke, snap mares Alex, mocks the dance, and kicks him in the back. Hombre Sin Nombre in, chop fest breaks out, and Negro wins the clothesline war. Negro starts to run for a dive, but Misterioso and Alex cut him off and knock him out of the ring. Purpura in, and Misterioso scoops him up as Alex trips up Trueno - Gory Special! Red Scare! (though not the one he'd stick with.) Rudos win in a bit of an upset here.
Promo: Maximo talks up the hair match.
Match 2: Emilio Charles Jr. vs Maximo
in a hair match
Arena Coliseo, 10/03/06
Winner: Maximo (2-1)
Match Time: 9:14
Approx Rating: Fitting end.
Other Match Notes: Maximo does the pre-match promo with Magadan.
Maximo's more interested in touching Magadan than the match. They start playing
some romantic music while Magadan tries to keep it business. Maximo can't
concentrate on the match with Magadan here.
Emilio sneaks in the ring the back way, and jumps Maximo from behind. So many jokes. For his pre-match promo, they play the romantic music again as one of the valets brushes Emilio's hair. They should've kept it there, but then they actually ask questions. Emilio talks about having beat the likes of El Dandy and La Fiera in these matches (12 years ago.)
1: When we pick up with action, Emilio runs Maximo head first into the corner. Stomp. Stomp. Emilio's brushing his hair back a lot. Armbar, Emilio talks trash, and Maximo fires back with chops. Hair toss. And again. Maximo is warned by Tigre Hispano, turns to argue, and gets kicked from behind by Emilio. Maximo's gets another turnbuckle smash. Emilio stares at the crowd. Maximo tries to rally with a punch, but Emilio knocks him back down. Boot choke at the ropes, while the announcers discuss shampoo. Whip, spinebuster. Emilio looks at him, fixes his hair, walks around, look at the crowd points at the crowd. Emilio takes it down to the mat for a face yank. Emilio is warned and lets go. Whip, spinebuster, half crab - sorta, not a usual one, at any rate. That's good enough for the first fall.
Olimpico stops in mid Don't Do This AT Home promo to TAKE OFF HIS SHIRT.
Peluquero cuts a promo - he's coming up!
2: When action picks up, Maximo is down on the outside, and Emilio is in the third row, getting in an argument with a mom. Seems about right. Maximo goes head first into a front row seat. Emilio yells at the crowd more, and brings Maximo back in. Emilio stands over him, takes his time waiting for Maximo, and dropkicks him as he tries to get up. Whip, clothesline. Slow paced match. Emilio picks up Maximo, and knocks him down with one right hand. Headbutt. Delayed cover, one two no. Emilio off the ropes, clothesline. Emilio tries another, Maximo ducks under, Emilio tries a sunset flip on the next pass, Maximo rolls thru and gets in a running silla. Maximo pulls Emilio down by his hair, and pulls him into a small package, one two three.
3: While we're looking at replays and card girls, the fight spills out onto the floor. Looks like Maximo is down, and then we look back and both are down. Maximo's the first one back in - don't celebrate on your knees! He doesn't! He knees Emilio as he gets the apron, goes the apron, and dives onto him with a running plancha. Replays as both recover. Both in, Maximo ducks a clothesline, butt bump, run the corner, double jump butt bump one two NO! Maximo may have to use non-butt offense. Slam, and Maximo tells everyone he's going up. The fans don't like this idea, and Maximo decides to go with them. Flash elbow drop, senton, and now does he go up? He asks the fans, and the fans are against this idea. Maximo hesitates on the way up, and comes back in. Flash elbow drop, stomp, and he's going up again. Is he going to do this time? All the way up - tope con giro misses, Emilio covers, one two no. Crowd chanting for Maximo, but aren't actually saying his name. Emilio abdominal stretch cradle one two no. Now they're chanting Maximo. Small package one two NO, Maximo keeps escaping, much to Emilio's frustration. Emilio shoulderblock, off the ropes, Maximo whistles him to stop, points to the right at the crowd, Tigre Hispano looks that way, and Maximo falls down, faking a foul. Tiger Hispano turns to ask the fans, Emilio protests, and Maximo cradles him - one two THREE. Magadan seems upset - you think he'd be happy!
Time for the hair cut. Emilio's argues the three count, but it's not helping him now. He's not very happy about this, but relents. Maximo doesn't get the scissors, but he does get the first lock of hair cut off. For some reason, the announcers are talking about shampoo in Buenos Aires. Emilio gets interviewed while getting his hair cut - he's not happy about this and promises revenge.
Replay of the finish.
