CMLL FSE - 10/29/06 (#12)
Recapped: 03/25/07
Unmasked: Halloween
Match 1: Emilio Charles Jr. (c), Mascara Ano 2000,
Sangre Azteca vs Mascara Purpura, Maximo (c), Sagrado
Arena Coliseo, 10/23/06
Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:55
Approx Rating: Built up next week fine, but not an interesting match in
itself.
Other Match Notes: Sangre Azteca has personalized music that says Sangre
Azteca? That's crazy. Rudos jump the tecnicos as soon as Maximo gets in the
ring. Monito's out with the tecnicos.
1: Lots of kicking and slapping. Maximo is held down, and kicked in to submission.
2: Tecnicos rebound outside. Actually, Sagrado comes in early, and takes a backdrop for it. Purpura gets a flapjack. Emilio bites Maximo's forehead, that's always gross. Maximo takes a spinebuster, everyone looks down at him, and he looks back up and them. He starts to roll out, but then bring him back for Sangre's low blow dropkick. Sagrado and Purpura trying coming in at the same time, and that doesn't work any better than them coming as a singles. Mostly because Sagrado is just held in the corner till they're finished Purpura. Lots of talking before they actually get around to whipping Sagrado, and why does it take that long to communicate "you're going to miss a double clothesline, and Purpura is going to come in with a dropkick on both of you" when that's what they do every time? Got me. Maximo has butt bumps for everyone, but Emilio side steps his. This starts off a domino effect - Emilio boots Maximo, Purpura dropkicks Emilio, Mascara boots Purpura, and Sagrado missile dropkicks Mascara. Sangre walks by Sagrado (who was turned away) to get to Purpura, and take a side slam. Sagrado's finish on Purpura is an inside cradle (maybe he was supposed to go directly there after the kick), Purpura's finish is a shooting star press on Sangre, and they kinda work the same. Emilio bails, Maximo tries to get him, but he's cut off by the refs. Meanwhile, Monito gets a top rope splash on Sangre. Maximo makes sure Monito gets his arms raised. Replay shows Mascara Ano was trying to grab Monito, and that's what allowed Sagrado to cradle him. That makes sense.
3: Sagrado armdrags Mascara around, but gets slapped in the face by Emilio, knocking him down. Maximo's eager to fight Emilio, so Emilio leaves and tags in Sangre. Maximo is still yelling at Emilio, so Sangre shoves him to get his attention. Maximo tags out to Purpura. Pointless flip, check. Purpura sends Sangre out with a flying 450 armdrag, and it's back to Maximo vs Emilio. Or not, as Emilio bails again. Mascara replaces him, and Maximo fools him with the old "Look up there" trick. Mascara comes back with a school boy trip, and now that Maximo's down, Emilio's more than willing to help. Too bad they miss on a double clothesline. Maximo takes care of the two on one, sending them both out and turning them against each other with chest slaps. They start going at it and bring it back in the ring - ah, it's a trick to have everyone turn on Maximo. Sagrado enters, Maximo and Sangre leave on their own, Mascara leaves unwillingly when Sagrado gets the handspring back elbow (which has looked better), and Sagrado leaves on his own with a tope. Purpura in with a springboard headscissors on Sangre to send him out, and a no hands tope can giro to the floor. This leaves in the captains, and the referees are looking at the dives on the floor. Emilio decides this is a good time to fake a foul, and Maximo figures if Emilio is going to act like he's fouled, then he might as well foul him. Low blow kick, cover, one two three.
Kinda surprised Maximo won in the last lead up match. Maximo makes the hair challenge
Match 2: Atlantis (c), Groon XXX, Shocker vs Heavy Metal,
Marco Corelone, Universo 2000 (c) in a relevos
incredible match.
Arena Coliseo, 10/23/06
Winner: Atlantis' team
Match Time: 11:58
Approx Rating: Okay.
Other Match Notes: Entrances. Why does Corelone have music from Star Wars? I dunno.
Groon's theme is still awful. I think Shocker is a tecnico here, but it's
not clear - the announcers remark on it.
1: Captains start for the extended opening. Shocker/Corelone next - so we're put off from Groon/Corelone just yet. This is more the battle of dancing dudes, as Corelone shows early. Shocker and Corelone aren't on the same page and it shows. Universo/Atlantis was much better. Corelone's dropkick gets no reaction, because it didn't actually make contact. Shocker dropkicks Marco until he leaves. For now. Metal and Groon. Metal walks around Groon to take a look a t his redness. They have a pose off - Metal tries, and Groon shoves him over. That leads to a shoving battle, and Metal flies out of the ring when Groon shoves him. Metal being Metal, he has no idea he's much smaller than Groon, so he challenges Groon to shoulderblock him. Groon does, and Metal goes flying out of the ring again. Metal brings in Universo, so they both can try - and they knock Groon over! Groon sort kips up, sorta armdrags them (they do 99%) of the work, and hits the double clothesline. Corelone charges Groon, and takes a powerslam. That looked okay. Groon is quite shoulder than him. Clothesline, suplex, float over one two three. Shocker immediately gets a reinera on Metal, and that's the fall.
2: Atlantis and Universo start with a chop battle. They go to clotheslines, and neither can anyone down, so Universo uses a dropkick. Atlantis somehow gets up first, misses a senton, and Universo rolls out to stop that. Metal and Shocker next, with Metal working rudo and Shocker getting the better of it. As soon as he does, Corelone is and stomping Shocker, then clearing his teammates off the apron. Universo comes in to help the beatdown. Corelone works over Groon while the other two take care of Atlantis. Metal gets him with a figure four pin, and that's the fall. Universo beats up Atlantis during the replays, but Atlantis catches a kick and trips him up just before the fall starts.
3: Shocker gets his own comeback on Corelone on the outside, and Metal accidentally gives Universo the Heavy Punch when he was trying for Groon, so that's the comeback. Atlantis kicks Universo around outside while Shocker and Corelone circle each around the ring. Lots of punches, Corelone getting the better of it till Shocker ducks one and gets in many of his own. Shocker tries to suplex him, but Corelone blocks it and suplexes him instead. Corelone misses the dropkick when shocker gets the ropes, and this time, he gets that suplex. Shocker is liming, though - did he pull something? He retreats to the corner. and ducks down as Corelone tries the crossbody. Pescado takes them both out. Atlantis and Universo in - Atlantis rolls thru a sunset flip and drops on Universo for a two count. Atlantis escapes a corner charge, Universo crotches himself, and Atlantis dropkicks him - that's three and the match. Groon and Metal still have to get their spots in, and Metal takes a non-fun looking one armed powerbomb. That's that.
Shocker's quite wet in the post match interview, and ducks the tecnico/rudo question. That's it.
