Jr.
in a mask match
Arena Coliseo, 04/02/06
Winner: Stuka.
Match Time: 14:37
Approx Rating: 91
Other Match Notes: Flecha is wearing his Groupo Cibernetico varsity
jacket. He's also got a Mexican blues song, from the sound of it. Stuka has a
80s sounding song. He's wearing red, while Flecha is wearing blue.
Flecha attacks Stuka as soon as he's checked over by the referee., and while Stuka still has his jacket on. Flecha rips the jacket up trying to rip it off him. Atheistic snap mares. Stuka gets free of his jacket, but ends up chest slapped down. Clothesline. Flecha taunting the crowd. Chest slap. Whip, reversed, Stuka rallying back quick with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Flecha rolls out, but complains about Stuka doing something illegal. When Stuka and the ref (Terror Chino, right?) turn to discuss, Flecha trips Stuka and pulls him out. Into the ring post. Flecha is admonished when he goes back in, but celebrates nevertheless. He's doing a lot of checking to make sure his mask is still there. Must be nerves. Stuka isn't coming in, but Flecha goes out and grabs him. Snap mare - now's not the time to rip up the mask! Win the match! Flecha lets go, only to knee Stuka on the way out. Announcers bring up Stuka I and Flecha I being Skayde nowadays. Dropkick by Flecha. Whip, flapjack. Crowd chanting for Stuka, but he' still getting beating. Kicks to the chest, but Stuka is rallying up. Dropkick knocks down Flecha. Bodyscissors cradle, one two three. (2:47) That's Flecha's fault for never going to a pin. Stuka celebrates. Replays. Break.
Who do the fans think will win? Flecha. Stuka. Stuka. Stuka. Stuka. Stuka. Stuka. Stuka. No love for Flecha!
Flecha tries jumping Stuka again, and this time time Stuka moves out of the way. Flecha goes into the corner hard, and gets pulled down with a snap mare. Stuka gets some revenge mask yanking, but turns to to the fans and gets a chest slap from Flecha. Hammerlock by Flecha. Stuka looking for a way out, and when a snap mare doesn't work, he does a bouncing jumping snap mare. Naturally. Stuka off the ropes, over, waved by, backflip for no reason, Flecha shoulderblocks him, Flecha off the ropes, Stuka dropkicks him out. Stuka spots him, runs, - slides! Flecha slide back in. Stuka crawls back in, and takes a dropkick as he gets through the ropes. Flecha poses before following up. Whip, drop to hold, grabbing the legs immediately and setting him up - that's La Flechecita and that's the fall (1:30) Break.
Ultimo Dragoncito tells us to keep watching!
A third time, Flecha rushes Stuka, and Stuka moves again. Whip, reversed, Flecha drop toe hold - not going for the legs this time. Instead, it's sort of a modified kneeling abdominal stretch cradle one two no. Flecha wants a faster count. Looking at the crowd a bit. Flecha shoulderblock, off the ropes, Stuka backdrop reversed into a Flecha sunset flip reversed into a Stuka forward bodyscissors cradle (or something!) one two NO. We're well into dramatic three count territory. Flecha charges into a drop toe hold, Stuka la Majistral one two NO. Both a little slow up. Stuka chops Flecha. Corner whip, Stuka yells, charges, and Flecha hooks him in a corner sunset flip one two NO. Flecha inhales a bit before getting up, and Stuka's moving before him. Stuka clothesline is - uh, caught, sorta, kinda. we have a moment of awkward blown spot-ness, and then Flecha does a Northern lights suplex, one two no. Flecha boots down Stuka, and charges him - that of course means the monkey flip to the floor. Flecha lands on his feet but collapses. Stuka points to the crowd, but he's headed up. Top rope moonsault? YES. Both men down on the outside. Rowdy tecnicos are trying to rally their man with a stirring air horn chorus, and Stuka is indeed the first one stirring, and in the ring. Stuka makes the cardinal mistake of crawling around on his knees and celebrating too soon. Flecha behind him - there's the cavernaria! Stuka's in trouble, but he won't give. Flecha switches from the head to the arms back to the head, but can't get the submission and has to let go. Stuka rallying the crowd in his favor. Flecha's up first. Slam, and Flecha's headed up. Middle rope moonsault misses, Flecha on him, one two NO. Flecha looks dazed. Crowd chanting for Stuka, and he kicks Flecha before he can get up. Stuka scoops and slams Flecha in position. What's he going for? Crowd warning him against the idea as Stuka slowly climbs up to the top roe - top rope moonsault, Flecha moves, Stuka lands on his feet and celebrates landing on his feet. Meanwhile, Flecha is up and charging - spinebuster, grabbing Stuka, Stuka small package one two NO. Crowd shot at Flecha and Stuka both get to their feet. Flecha wins the short strike battle. Whip, reversed, Stuka puts his head down too soon, and Flecha loads him up into an inverted Gory Special. Will Stuka give? He's in trouble - but he's got free, bodyscissors roll, reversed by Flecha one two NO. Crowd thought it might be it there. Flecha tried to get the tights but couldn't get a hold of them. He's very frustrated. Stuka lift up in a standing fireman's carry and dumped forward, almost onto Terror Chino. Double jump elbowdrop! One two thr-NO. Crowd didn't buy that one as much, even though it was a Flecha trademark. Slam, and Flecha's headed up. He's actually polling the crowd before going up,. The crowd doesn't help him, as he misses a top rope somersault senton, Stuka covers one two NO. Stuka up first and kicking Flecha down in the back. He's setting up for a Tapatia, but they're too close to the ropes for this to work, I'd Think. Stuka does get it locked and Flecha' lifted, but Flecha leans back, sending him to the mat, and they both end up with their shoulders down one two both grab the ropes! Chino forces them separate, and Stuka tries to rally the crowd for one more push. He's up first. Off the ropes, into a Flecha boot. Flecha points at the crowd. There's a Flecha chant? Boot sends Stuka out - Flecha Asai Moonsault! Both men are down, Flecha up first and booting Stuka down. He comes in and celebrates the countout win, but Stuka jumps on him from behind - bodyscissors rollup, one two th-NO! Crowd thought that was it, and so did Stuka. Both men up, and Stuka going a bit insane with the crowd support. Chest slap by Flecha, whip, Stuka rushes under a missed clothesline, rushes under another missed back elbow, and grabs the ropes. Flecha tires a clothesline, but Stuka blocks it and pulls him into an STO. Standing Frog splash, one two three! (10:20) There are some very loud people. Stuka is thrilled.
Clip ahead to Flecha's mask being untied by Stuka. The crowd gets really quiet when Flecha's name is read (Alberto Hernandez Blanco, 35, Mexico City) and his mask is taken off. He gives the mask to Stuka, and raises his arm.
Stuka thanks the fans and shows off his mask. Flecha gives Stuka credit, and promises to keep on fighting.
Match 2: Dos Caras Jr. (c), Negro Casas, Último Dragón vs Olímpico, Rey
Bucanero (c), Tarzan Boy
Arena Coliseo, 04/02/06
Winner: Tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:56
Approx Rating: Okay.
Other Match Notes: Rudos all come out together as GdI. Rey knocks Ultimo
out of the ring after introductions, and the other tecnicos go out to help him
instead of getting beat. Rey ends up hanging out in the crowd for a bit to evade
pay back, and the match actually just starts normal with one on ones.
Tarzan and Negro are first, Negro selling an early arm bar as quite painful. They work rollups on the mat. I wouldn't' have expected Tarzan to get this section. It's okay. Tarzan has an odd way of putting a headlock on. Olimpico gets in a cheap shot when Negro runs the ropes, Negro and Olimpico shove each other, and Tarzan tries to get in a cheap shot. Negro pushes Tarzan down, Olimpico comes in and pushes Negro down, Dos comes in and pushes Olimpico down, Rey comes in and dropkicks Dos out, Ultimo comes in and hits the three kick combo on Rey, chasing him out of the ring and threatening more violence in the crowd. Tarzan plays peace maker r as Negro threatens violence on Olimpico. They bring it back to the ring, which Ultimo, Rey, and Rey's new shirt. There's a heart (I think) on it with heavy switches. They do a bit of chain wrestling, but Rey quickly taunts the tecnicos in to distract the refs from at triple team stompdown on Dragon. Ultimo rallies back when the other two rudos leave, giving us our first superkick spot and a subpar looking revenge stomp down bit. Rey tries to rally back, and we end up with all six men fighting. It goes the rudos way, and we have a beatdown. Dos gets the first there on one treatment, hung on the middle rope for a boosted sit on his back by Rey. Tarzan adds a guillotine legdrop. Dragon next, and he takes the Bucanero Castigo. Olimpico covers for three. (4:58) Dos back in, and Tarzan gives him a suplex. That's enough? Yes. (5:14) Replays. Break.
Ultimo tries to rally back on his own, but it doesn't last. He's whipped into Tarzan's boot. Rey sits on the top rope and Dragon is loaded up - but the rudos walk away and Dragon gets a 'rana to get free. That's a different way to get to the comeback. Ultimo beats Rey up, Negro gets Tarzan, and Dos and Olimpico has the battle for it all. Negro uses an anklelock on Tarzan for a while of all things, and then holds him for a hard kick to the chest by Dragon. It quickly settles down to mano y mano, with Rey and Dragon at first. They evade each other's moves for a bit, until Rey does the taunt one too many time sand gets caught with a kick tot he back of the head. Dos comes into add superkick #2, and Negro kinda steals the pin with a La Majistral on Rey (2:20) That was an abrupt ending.
Tecnicos hold the ring as the third fall starts, with no rudos trying to get in, thought hey tease pulling Dos out. We end up with Olimpico coming in, and Negro mocking the new physique. Neither Negro nor Dos ant to fight the muscle man, but Dos makes Negro do it. Negro gets his hand wet for some big chops, but Olimpico is SO STRONG, they have no effect. Of course, Olimpico is killed by Olimpico's chops. Negro tries again, and they work for a moment in the corner, but Olimpico eventually says enough is enough and pulls himself out of the corner. Negro promptly DDTs and mocks him. Onto Tarzan and Dos, if Dos will stop posing in the corner for a second. Tarzan does so too and doesn't get quite the same reaction. And again. Dos off the ropes, over, under, Tarzan levels him with a clothesline. Chest slap. Corner whip, Dos runs up to the corner, which is good because Tarzan's not running, now he is so he can eventually take the overhead headscissors. There's the spinning headscissors too, and Dos slides out after Tarzan. Tarzan backs off and begs off, and Dos responds by slamming his head into the chairs. Rey and Ultimo take their place in the ring, because they're about to get counted out. Rey gets beat up when he drops down too soon a couple of times, and then takes the monkey flip out of the ring when Dragon drops down too soon. Asai Moonsault! The other four tecnicos all come in, with the rudos taking control, but the tecnicos turning it around with a spin on the corner whips. Olimpico gets the lease effective square dropkick from Negro ever, and Tarzan takes the corner enziguri. Casas Crossface on Olimpico (4:20) and Dos covers Tarzan for the win (4:22)
Announcers talk to the winners, and that's it.
