CMLL GDR - 03/25/06 (#18)
Recapped: 03/26/06

Reoccurring bits:
- Survey: Mistico or Perro? Outside: Mistico. Mistico. Mistico. Mistico. Perro. Perro. Mistico. Dr. Wagner. Where'd all these goofy white people come from at the end? Later, inside: two people don't outright say, Mistico, Mistico, Perro, Mistico, Perro, Mistico, Mistico.
- Getting ready for the match: Olimpico
- Julio trains with Los Perros. Damian makes him run stairs and carry him around, Terrible carries him around (doesn't work as well for Julio), Mr. Aguila tries to teach him how to walk the top rope (that's aborted), and Perro - ends up giving him a double stomp (notice the edit, as they pretend it's a top rope version.) The Perros leave him laying, of course. The highlight is a random cat being thrown at Julio.
- Terrible, Rey Bucanero, valet Carolina, Damian 666, Mr. Aguila talk about tonight's big singles match. Damián and Aguila cut there's together and find time to yell at Universo too.

Match Time: 13:10

Other Match Notes: They spell it "Misterio" this week on the graphics. Wrong guy! No entrances.

Mascara and Misterioso start with basic chain stuff. They're may be a small clip in here. We get the zero cover sequence and a set of standoffs. Tags to Pantera and Masada. Crowd chants for Pantera. Lots of fighting over the lockup, and Pantera eventually shoves Masada anyway. Lockup, sorta, and Masada throws a clothesline, and Pantera ducks under it. Chest slap for Masada, and he needs a sec. Lockup, they battle for on control again, Pantera gets an armbar but Masada slips out to a legscissors. Pantera tries to fight it into an armbar,  Masada fighting to keep his arm from extending, then decides to go with it and rolling on top of Pantera. Everyone having battle here. Pantera ends up trying Masada's legs, putting a foot on them and stepping on Masada's back with his other foot. He's riding Masada like an actual surfboard. Masada tries to push up out of it, and Pantera switches to a surfboard armlock. Pantera goes down to the mat, and suspends Masada by his feet with the double armbar, but has to let go before he gets pinned. Pantera gets the zero cover, and there's nothing Masada can do about it. Tags. Satanico and HSN. HSN is annoyed by the crowd chants for Satanico.  Circle. Lockup, and they too battle for a lockup, no one really getting it before the break. They try again, and Satanico forces a headlock on, but Safari slips free and ends up with a stand over armbar. Satanico spreads HSN's legs for a submission - and Misterioso and Masada hit the ring to break it up. The tecnicos come in, but they're quickly wasted. Masada has a long boot choke on Pantera while the other two hold Satanico on the ropes. Mascara got disposed of quick. Masada comes over to help the other two, and its' not quite too organized. Masada gets in a slap to Satanico's face and dropkicks him out of the ring. La Mascara brought in. double suplex, Misterioso up on the top rope waiting for something, his partners load Mascara up to him - second rope nudo drop? I guess you really crank the neck that way. One two three. (6:14) Rudos celebrate

Second falls arts with HSN bowling Satanico into Pantera. On the outside, Masada works over Mascara with headbutts. Satanico is sent out iof the ring, and Pantera is given a double back elbow. Tee rudos all make their way to the ring, but there's no tecnico with them. Mascara enters, eventually, and gets worked over. The rudos decide to rip up his mask, but don't make much progress. Pantera and Satanico try to rally while they're distracted, but HSN and Misterioso cut them off. Satanico is isolated in the ring and brought down to his knees for a double dropkick to the head, but Masada and Misterioso are yanked out when they go to the ropes. SUPERKICK! Satanico takes HSN down in the ring and beats him greatly while the other four battle outside the ring. Satanico goes for HSN's mask and gets it partially off, but the referees keep him back. Oh man, we almost found out who it was! While the other four make their way to the corners, HSN and Satanico have a chest slap battle, which ends up with a HSN wheel kick. Satanico sent out, HSN on top of him with a pescado! Misterioso and Mascara in, and Mascara ends up getting hiptossed and clotheslined initial. Mascara misses a clothesline after mocking the crowd, and La Mascara dropkicks him in the knee. Code Mascara on Misterioso one two three. (3:01) Masada tries a 'rana on Pantera, but Pantera blocks it - Pantera Clash! (3:04) well, that one wasn't HSN's fault. Break.

Mascara and Misterioso start off the third fall, with Mascara landing an extra spinny headscissors to send him out. Masada comes in, but Mascara ducks his stuff and gets him with an enziguri. Mascara's looking better. Tags to Pantera and HSN. HSN sidesteps the handspring and strikes Pantera down with chest slaps. Whip, HSN puts his head down too soon, Pantera jump rolls over it, then turns around for a spinning armdrag. HSN takes the Atlantis roll out of the ring, and Pantera teases a dive. Tags to Masada and Satanico. They converse about the crowd cheering for Satanico, Satanico poses, and Masada is all over him with closed fists. Running kick knocks down Satanico but also just makes Satanico angry. Masada tries another running boot, Satanico catches, Misterioso comes into help, and Satanico whips Masada's boot into his partner! That's great. Armdrag for Masada, armdrags for HSN, shoulderblock to send out Masada, shoulderblock to send out HSN, shoulderblock to send out - wait, no, that's the ref. Satanico celebrates. HSN back in and he and Satanico get into another slap/chest fest, with HSN actually winning with a cop. Corner whip, Satanico knocked down HSN with a boot and clotheslines. HSN down. Time for the abdominal stretch that never works - this time it's Masada breaking it up with a kick to shoulder. Satanico rolls out, and Mascara comes into take on Masada. They take turns with the hardest chest slaps they can muster. Masada tries to off the ropes and gets dropkicked out. Misterioso is quickly in and kicking Mascara down with a shot to the hamstring. Corner whip, charge, Mascara moves, and Misterioso ends up hitting a tope to the post, basically. Mascara climbs up to the top rope - plancha on Misterioso! Pantera tope on Masada! That came from nowhere. HSN and Satanico back in, and Satanico gets a spinebuster. Tying the legs, tying the arms, and pinning him to the mat one two three. (3:52) That was pretty good.

Vignette: Can we really go a week without Mistico talking to Magadan? No, of course not. Again, Mistico teases Magadan about his relationship with Maximo. And then suddenly two women from Holland appears! I have no idea, but she's speaking English so that's one for me. Mistico is big in Holland. Magadan wants to leave with the women, but Mistico says he already has Maximo. That's is a whole bunch of random.

Arena Coliseo, 03/19/06

  1. La Mistica (2:17)
  2. Perro pin with feet on the ropes (3:31)
  3. Mistico low blow (5:46)

Winner: Mistico (2-1)
Match Time: 12:34
Approx Rating: 81. Nothing special.
Other Match Notes: Perro is out to the Perro Aguayo song. Monito is with Mistico. Lots of kids with cell phone cameras this week. Clip before the match - we jump to a HUGE Mistico chant, and see Perro kicking Monito around. Mistico gets him with a superkick (1!) and I guess we've started?

Mistico signals to the crowd, and gets dropkicked in the knee while he's not paying attention. Perro goes crazy on him for a bit. Suplex, dropping Mistico down. Kicking him around. There's a lot of cross noise from the fan - you can hear the Mistico chant, but you can hear a lot of yelling opposite of him. Perro spends a bit too long look around, and ends up walking into a drop toe hold. There's the 619. Springboard dropkick, outgoes Perro, and Mistico after him - corkscrew plancha! Perro tried to catch him and ended up taking many steps farther back into the aisle. Mistico walks around the ring while Perro recovers. We're watching replays while action picks up. It looks like we missed La Mistica, because Perro is giving up to the armbar as we return. (2:17) Monito gives Mistico some advice between falls. Break.

Perro's found the announcers and is complaining about the injustice of it all. They're really in the middle of the crowd, at least for the moment. Perro has a bruise or something on the inside of his elbow and is angry about it. He tries charging Mistico while he's resting in the corner, but Mistico sees him coming and moves just in time. Mistico kicks him down. Perro's picked up, and tossed by his hair. There are some boos in here. Kick to the spine.  Whip, reversed, Perro misses a clothesline, Mistico with the handspring flip for no reason, and a 'rana on the next pass. Perro sent out, and Mistico looking to follow - no, just a tease when Perro runs far out of the way to the other side of the ring. Mistico goes around the ring the other way, and trips Perro up with a kick to the back of his leg. Gentle slam on the floor, and now Mistico's going to the apron. For what? Springboard moonsault - into Perro's feet? That was quite the bad move by Mistico. Mistico thrown up the aisle. Mistico thrown back in by Perro, but he's laying on the mat and not doing much. Perro finally takes off his shirt while posing in the corner. Mistico set up facing out in the corner - time to go after his mask? Perro forearms him in the back a few times to keep him planted him up, and Mistico puts up no defense as Perro unties the mask. It's only when Perro starts to get it off when Mistico responds. It actually comes off a couple of times, but Mistico holds it in front of hi, or we get an angle to hide it. Perro pulls Mistico down into the Tree of Woe. He backs up, gets swatted by Monito and swats him back, then dropkicks Mistico in the chest. Mistico's pulled off the ropes to the floor, and Perro pulls him around the ring by his head. Chop knocks Mistico down. Loud Mistico chant. Perro walks into a drop toe hold, Mistico tries the 619 again, Perro duck under, double legs him, and covers with his feet on the ropes, one two three. (3:31) Replays.

Onto fall three. Perro mocks the Mistico chant once again. Mistico picked up, and suplexed down. One two NO. Awful slow count. Perro with a double leg hook, feet on the middle rope again, one two NO. Ref caught the feet on the rope, but not till the kickout. Perro derides the accusation. Perro shoves Mistico in the corner and works him over with right hands. Chops. Perro messes with Monito, and charges at Mistico - but Mistico moves out of the way in time, sending Perro out. Mistico runs up the top rope and gets Perro with a plancha. Mistico crawls in first and, as people tend to do, things he's won by countout when he's opponent is right behind him. Perro yanks him into a mask pull cavernaria, and Mistico violently refuses to submit. IT takes some time, but he's eventually able to break Perro's hold on his mask. Takes a lot out of him too. Perro camel clutch! Mistico still won't give. Perro goes back to mocking the chant. Corner whip for Mistico, Mistico slips to the apron, Perro pounds him while he's there. Perro tries for a running dropkick to knock him to the floor, but Mistico moves and Perro crotches him. Mistico comes back in and both are slow up, but Perro lands a dropkick first. Perro throws Mistico out, and goes to the apron - apron silla! Perro takes a moment to high five a fan and walk around the ring a bit. Both guys are getting counted out, so Perro picks up Mistico and throws him back in. Perro tries another corner whip, Mistico kips up and out (though Perro's sliding underneath anyway), Perro turns and rushes to boot him, Mistico moves and the ref gets it. Figured there had to be something. Perro tries a low blow kick, Mistico blocks, but that allows Perro to pull his mask and cover. Too bad there's no ref. Perro tries to wake up the ref, but he's very slow in recovering. Perro  gets frustrated, and leaves the mask to yell at the ref for not getting up. Mistico gets his mask back on, and low blow kicks Perro when he turns around. The ref finally recovers, and we see the one two three from the reverse angle - the ref can't see it (and maybe doesn't care given Perro's shoving and boot), but Perro's got a shoulder up. (5:46) For his part, Magadan can't believe the ref would allow a pinfall on an obvious low blow like that. Mistico celebrates and heads out, while Perro doesn't believe it.

We skip ahead to Perro yelling at Adolfo about being cheated out of the win.

That's it.
