CMLL (MON) 12/25 Arena Coliseo Results
1) Fantasy, Mini Olimpico, Ultimo Dragoncito b Fire, Mini Violencia, Sombrita
2) Fabian el Gitano, Leono, Virus b Arkangel, Loco Max, Metro
3) Lady Apache b Hiroka [CMLL WOMEN]
4) Pierroth, Sangre Azteca, Terrible b Mictlan, Sagrado, Texano Jr.
5) Heavy Metal, Mistico, Negro Casas DQ Atlantis, Black Warrior, Olimpico

In one of the recent WO.com news updates that I don’t feel like sorting thru at the moment, Steve Sims expected a title change here becuase Hiroka’s heading back to Japan. She is scheduled for a CMLL VIP show on 01/20, so it’s a temporary departure and it’s not like they had to have the belt around for two months. Kinda thought this was coming but didn’t want it to be.

This is the second time Lady Apache’s held both the Mexican and CMLL Women’s Title at the same time. You’re supposed to drop the Mexican one when you win a world title, but…we’ll see.

The big question: what’s the deal with that ref’s pants?

Black Warrior tried to low blow Mistico, but ended up low blowing the ref. That’s going to get you a DQ.

Octagon was recoginized in Xalapa for his 25 years of wrestling. Octagon said sports are good for keep adults from alchol and drug addiction. No comment!

Magazines
Super Luchas 193: best of 2006
Luchas 2000 349: wacky santa (unless someone’s done a funny fake cover)
Guerrero del Ring 67: Mini Familia de Tijuana

El Halcon #82 is up. There’s an interview with Kenzo (his finisher is called the Hagakure, he wants a title match vs Universo!), a look back at a Centurion Negro/Gran Hamada title match, a Fishman bio (he’s got a fishman fan myspace), Aguila Venezolana bio, and a short profile with Cobalto, which is awesome because I was trying to figure out which guy was Cobalto last week. It turns out, it’s the guy with the C on his mask. Cobalto says he’s wrestled since 94, in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara, but this is the only name he’s ever used.

  1. Nobody seems to be surprised/care one way or the other than Metro II is now working as a rudo. Did I miss a turn?

  2. I don’t know whats wrong with your eyes cubs. But that ref is rockin those designer pants.

also… guerreros del ring might not have the most up to date news. But sure as hell have the best lookin cover’s. Just look at Pequenos Perro Del Mal( But where’s my Perrito Aguayo and mini Hector Garza)

  3. I think Metro as a rudo is a one week “all the other guys have the week off” thing or a type. There’s been no explanation.

  4. The other explanation is that Neutron has gotten so awful that they are making him a rudo so he doesn’t have to blow himself up with 30 second flying spots. I’m sorry Henrik but it’s true…

  5. Or it could be that Metro was actually a typo, it was actually Nitro, and Metron was working in Guadalajara :)

Yeah, he’s looked a bit unmotivated and out of shape the last few times i’ve saw him…. but he’s still Jimmy Neutron to me dammit! ;)
    He’ll be back!

  6. “Oh man I just saw Luchas 2000’s cover. All I have to say is: Jesus 666”

I agree, that photo is all kinds of awesome – Los pequenos Familia have a cool-ass look (not quite as awesome as TROLL~ though), and if that match a that aired a few months back Vs UDcito/Pequeno Olimpico is anything to go by, they are awesome little workers as well.

    They need some TV time!

  7. Well he can win me over soon b/c my next CMLL TV DVD has him in Guadalajara against two capable rudos so hopefully he busts out some good stuff on the only CMLL TV show that matters these days.:)
