CMLL vs Indies card

Naturally, it turns out to be just as much CMLL vs indy as “CMLL/indy vs CMLL/indy”.

CMLL (MON) 11/20 Arena Mexico
1) Super Muneco, Super Pinocho, Super Raton vs Hombre Sin Nombre, Loco Max, Sangre Azteca
2) Electroshock, Groon XXX, Silver King vs Pierroth, Ultimo Guerrero, Universo 2000
3) Blue Panther, Canek, Super Parka vs Negro Navarro, Signo, Texano Jr.
4) Damian 666, Halloween, Mr. Aguila vs Villano III, Villano IV, Villano V
5) Dos Caras Jr., Mascara Sagrada, Shocker vs Blue Demon Jr., Hector Garza, LA Park

This shall be, uh, challenging. The upside to the segunda is Ultimo Guerrero could prove himself the greatest wrestler in the history of man if he gets a *** match there.

The most interesting thing is that the AULL FdT/Villanos feud gets carried over (and possibly blown off!) here.

If this never ever makes TV, that shall be fine.

11/13 notes and lineups

Magazines
– Box Y Lucha #2792: Rey Misterio Jr.‘s operation
– Luchas 2000 #343: people planning a tribute show for Huracan Ramirez Jr., but the real highlight is the teased story on Mictlan, who was listed on cards but never actually wrestled.
– Super Luchas #187: Eddie Guerrero, one year after his death
– Guerreros del Ring #61: Eddie Guerrero, one year after his death

LA Park’s told his side of the riot in Domo de la Feria last Monday. It sounds like he saw no problems until after the match. Fans were not thrilled it ended in a draw, but the real problem was drunk fans who attacked both Park and Wagner. Park and Wagner defend themselves because the security couldn’t do anything. It doesn’t sound like Park’s going to protest the action, as he spent time at the end pointing out all the other places he’s working. (via El Halcon)

Dos Caras Jr., Ultimo Guerrero, and Blue Panther were at the CART race in Mexico. Suits at a racetrack seems a bit overdressed.

Santo and Cartoon Network are teaming up for a line of clothes that’ll appear in Sears stores in Mexico. (el halcon)

Lineup notes
– AAA tapes TV on 11/13 and 11/18. Will I finally get evil foreign rudo Shark Boy?
– Mistico and Negro vs Averno & Mephisto headlines Arena Mexico, and LA Park is apparently now a foreign rudo.
– Remember Violencia? He turns up in the main event of an AAA spot show this week.
– Just after Macho II was unmasked, Macho III has turned up in Coacalco.
– I’m just assuming that IWRG creating a Super Welterweight title is a joke specifically on me. It’s not funny! It’s sad! If it’s really a title, I guess Cerebro Negro wins, but I’m holding out hope it’s a mislabeled #1 contenders dealio for Black Pentagon’s title.
– It’s next Saturday, so it’s not included in these lineups, but Zorro’s scheduled to defend a Light Heavyweight title versus Chessman. Hopefully, he either already beat Hator to win the UWA LH title back (since it’s gotta be that one; it’s listed as a World title, so it can’t be Dandy and we probably would’ve heard if he beat Bucanero or Atlantis – or I guess someone could’ve found the WWA one), or will beat him before he defends the title. Or it could just be a typo.
– also in the distant future, AAA has a big show on 12/05 which isn’t listed as a TV taping, but does include Dr. Alfonso Morales. I presume this is both payback for Arturo Rivera working Arena Mexico, and AAA’s own telethon charity show.

Luchawiki back up!

Luchawiki.com is back up and working. If you see the Huracan Ramirez picture on the main page, everything should be back to normal. (If Angel Blanco and Dr. Wagner are still up there, try refreshing, or coming back in a little bit.)

Thanks for your patience.

11/12 Coliseo Results

(Alexis Salazar, cmll.com)

CMLL (SUN) 11/12 Arena Coliseo Results [cmll, ovaciones]
1) Artillero, Super Comando b Rayo Tapatio I, Rayo Tapatio II
2) Starman, Tony Rivera, Virus b Hooligan, Mr. Mexico, Ramstein
3) Alex Koslov b Felino, La Mascara, Sagrado, Mascara Purpura, Hirooki Goto, Okumura, Ohara [cibernetico, CMLL MIDDLE, 1]
4) Blue Panther, Mistico, Negro Casas DQ Black Warrior, Hooligan, Ultimo Guerrero
5) Dr. Wagner Jr. b Atlantis

Alex winning is a surprise, because it’s a rudo/rudo title match next week. If you’re going to do a rudo/rudo match, Koslov/Averno is the one that works the best. I’m still thinking we’re getting two title changes next week, though not quite as strong. Koslov definitely seems to have clicked in CMLL, and it would be nice if someone non-Mexican actually won one of the world titles (and I’d love any “I’m taking this title back to Moscow and never coming back!!” promos), but I have no idea what would be the next step for the title. Maybe I shouldn’t assume there’s a next program.

stray thought: Alex Koslov looks like Russian Lance Storm. Look wise, not the work (at least yet.)

Sagrado was the last man left in the cibernetico. That’d be a fine next program, actually.

Hooligan replaced Tarzan Boy to make a dream team for some. Wagner pinned Atlantis in the third fall, but used the ropes.

The tercera and semimain should be fun, and should turn up one of the B Shows. The main event could be fun, or it could be lazy, it’s tough to say (and I might be a bit optimistic here.) You know you’re getting shenanigans, and it depends on the quality of shenanigans.
