Virus replaced the debuting Mictlan. What a debut.

Atlantis yanked Wagner’s mask and got the pin. Wagner challenged him to a mask match. Atlantis’ reaction was along the lines of “Really, you and me, in a mask match, in Arena Coliseo? Uh, no. But maybe a title match.”

Not that a title match is scheduled at this point. It’s slightly interesting that Atlantis beat Wagner here, and in the Friday tournament.

Magazines
– Super Luchas #186 has Huracan Ramirez on the cover.
– Luchas 2000 342 has the shot of Huracan Ramirez in the coffin.
– Luchas 2000 Special #15 looks back at big hair matches. I wonder if that’ll be the next reoccurring GdR interview.

To entertain myself, I sent a PM to Julio Cesar Rivera – the PBP on the CMLL B Shows, and the publisher of Luchas 2000, who posts the covers over on Box Y Lucha – to ask if he knows how they decide which match to put on each show. GdR was good this week, better than the two before it, but I’m still bitter about no Maximo vs Emilio. Anyway, if I get an answer (no), I’ll let you know.

El Manana has it’s own Huracan Ramirez obit. Vanguardia has a article about lucha libre and society – I think. It didn’t translate well.

The San Antonio Express News has an article on a backyard wrestling featuring a sixty year old grandmother. I think we had a story about her a few months ago, or there’s a lot of grandmothers wrestling in Texas.
