CMLL VIP (THU) 11/02 Salon 21, DF Results [ESTO]
1) Mini Super Nova, Ultimo Dragoncito b Mini Damian 666, Mr. Aguilita
2) Dark Angel, Lady Apache b Amapola, Hiroka
3) Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero b La Mascara, Rey Bucanero
4) Mistico, Volador Jr. DQ Black Warrior, Shocker
Was supposed to be Perro/Hector on the rudo side. Damian and Halloween, not on the card, attacked Shocker in revenge for the turn he made on Garza (which they never really followed up on.) Warrior ended up helping them beat his partner. Somehow, the tecnicos ended up winning by DQ.

Esto published two articles on the show – general, results.

Diaro La Estrella has another story on Huracan Ramirez’s funeral. His widow is unsure if they’ll be a tribute show for him, but is pleased he had to chance to be honored a few times while he was alive. A Huracan Ramirez Jr. – there are plenty – is working a bullring in San Luis Potosi this Sunday. I’m sure all the guys working Huracan Ramirez Jr. or Hijo de or II or whatever are doing extra business this week.

Kraneo visited the Ovaciones offices, who noted that he isn’t the first person to use that name, and it’s a great gimmick for this time of year. That’s two more thoughts about Kraneo than I had (except noticing alternate identity AK 47 seems to be showing up a bit again.)

Leyenda de Azul lineup

Tonight’s show:

CMLL (FRI) 11/03 Arena Mexico Lineup
1) Mini Fantasy, Tzuki vs Mini Violencia, Pierrothito
2) Mascara Purpura, Stuka Jr., Virus vs Arkangel, Loco Max, Nitro
3) Atlantis vs Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Rey Bucanero vs ? vs Heavy Metal vs Ultimo Dragon vs Alex Koslov vs Hirooki Goto vs Pierroth vs Hector Garza vs Damain 666 vs Halloween vs Olimpico vs Mr. Aguila vs Ultimo Guerrero vs Black Warrior [LdA, torneo]
4) Shocker, Universo 2000 vs Kenzo Suzuki, Marco Corleone

Ovaciones reports Lizmark Jr. is out due to “head and neck” injuries suffered Tuesday. He should be back in a week. At least they sorta got the word out in advance on Lizmark for once (though CMLL.com says nothing.)

The talking point both CMLL and Ovaciones are pushing is Four Way Battle
evil foreigners: Alex Koslov, Hirooki Goto, Pierroth, Ultimo Dragon (somewhat less evil)
Perros del Mal: Damian, Halloween, Mr. Aguila, Hector Garza
Guerreros del Atlantida: Atlantis, Ultimo Guerrero, Black Warrior, Olimpico
CMLL: Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Bucanero, Heavy Metal, Hijo de Lizmark

As always, I think announcing tournament brackets beforehand would make me more interested, and CMLL thinks a 5 minute battle royale for seeding is something we’d enjoy seeing. As is, with nothing but a list of names, the ill promise of short matches, and no promise of anything going forward from the tournament (not even last year’s trip to Japan), it doesn’t seem worth much to guess who’s going to win. Then again, if I don’t break it down, who will?

From most likely to win to least likely:
Hirooki Goto
Alek Koslov
Pierroth
whoever’s replacing Lizmark Jr.
Damian 666
Olimpico
Heavy Metal
Halloween
Ultimo Dragon
Mr. Aguila
Hector Garza
Atlantis
Ultimo Guerrero
Dr. Wagner Jr.
Black Warrior
Rey Bucanero

Most of this is obvious. My theory is they’re actually going with Shocker/Bucanero as a tag team (which would be great if they had tag team titles), and so they do a little rehab work with Rey here. No one really has any momentum from this group, and anyone from Aguila on down has a pretty good shot at winning this.

In the same thought on Rey & Shocker, I was kinda expecting them to do an injury substitution, taking Universo out and bumping Rey up to the main event. Nothing of the sort appears to have happened, so Universo’s going to be back one week after taking the Black Hammer – which is sure odd, what with everyone else who Univero’s Black Hammer being out for longer. I guess Universo’s just that much better.

I have little faith in this card drawing much.

Ovaciones notes that Mascara Purpura is getting better; if you remember back, they really disliked after his debut.

Mistico’s working in Cancun tonight. I wish I was working in Cancun tonight.

AAA 11/18 taping announced

This follows 11/13 taping previously announced, and airs in the US around 12/23.

AAA TV (FRI) 11/18 Lienzo Charro, Cuernavaca, Morelos Lineup
1) Pegasso, Nemesis, Hombre Sin Miedo vs Angel Mortal, Mr. Condor, Gallego
2) Apache & Alliens vs Pimpinela & May Flowers vs Alebrije & el Brazo vs Rey Cometa & Super Fly [AAA WORLD TAG]

4) Brazo de Plata, Brazo de Plata Jr., Intocable, Elegido vs Scorpio Jr., Zumbido, Alan Stone, Chris Stone
5) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs Muerte Cibernetico, Konnan, ?

That main event is now starting to get funny.

11/13: La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs ?, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica
10/20: La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro b Konnan, Lance Hoyt, Muerte Cibernetica
10/14: Gronda II, La Parka Jr., Zorro vs Abyss, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica
10/04: Brazo de Plata, La Parka Jr., Octagon b Chessman, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica
09/17: Gronda II, La Parka Jr., Octagon DQ Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Konnan

I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a title change. Is Monsther hurt? Did he become one of the Alliens?
