10/26: Monterrey

I want that shirt. It looks cool to people who don’t follow lucha, and people who do get it – it’s not a cloth billboard like so many wrestling shirts.

Ontario based UWA is going to be opening up a Dragon Gym in Toronto. These are the Canadians who appeared on the last Toryumon (or Whateverumon) Mexico show.

indy (SUN) 10/29 Arena Coliseo Monterrey Lineup
1) Hollywood & Mini Burro vs Borrico & Mini Hator
2) Lady Maldad & La Kalaka & American Angel & Huracan Ramirez Jr.
3) Huracan Ramirez, Sky, Black Dragon vs Potro Jr., Ejecutor, Alakpo
4) Humberto Garza Jr., Sicodelico Jr., Casanova vs Mr. Texas, Pancho Tequila, Vudu
5) Latin Lover & Konan Big vs Hector Garza, Hijo del Perro Aguayo

Yea, so the main event changes from AAA rudos to CMLL rudos in the course of one week. It’d be funny (and probably quite possible) if Mr. Texas is working this show without TNA knowing.

I saw this lineup posted yesterday and skipped posting it, because I thought it had been changed or wouldbe changed or I just wasn’t getting something. BUt apparently I’m wrong and it’s good. I dunno the deal.

indy (SUN) 10/29 Gimnasio Municipal San Luis Potosi Lineup
1) Anarquia Punk & Penumbra vs Estrella Solitaria & Halcon Potosino
2) Aguila Azteca & Jungla Negra vs Black Dragon & Halcon Potosino
3) Miss Cristal, Relampago Mortal, Sombra Roja vs Corsario Negro, La Diabla, Coyote Azul Jr.
4) Mensajero, Creazy Star, Tigre del Ring vs Captian Furia, Furia Azul, Furia Salvaje

I’m pointing out this show, because not only is it a free show, but it’s a double header with a motocross event, which anyone can enter.

Haven’t found AULL results yet.

  1. Apparently, this time is for sure that Latin Lover (probably with a new name) is headed to CMLL. I didn’t catch the Box y Lucha magazine, somehow, it is always the one that sits there languishing as the other mags get sold out, but now, the one still in the stands is Guerreros del Ring… weird since Corleone and Kenzo are working in Olimpico Laguna… anyways, I guess that ByL should have explained why he’s gone from AAA. AAATV had no info on him, even if he worked for them in Aguascalientes, they surely had a fallout over there…

AULL’s pictures emerged in the ByL forum, but no results were given. Apparently, the TV show might be in its last legs, since the attendance has dropped big time. That is what happened in Coliseo Laguna, early 2006.

  2. Unfortunately that’s one of the things that comes with having TV. Fans don’t feel like they have to see the show live since they will catch it all on television a few days later. That’s why EMLL was so worried about going national back in 1991 and what eventually led to the wrestlers’ striking.

  3. Yes, I think IWRG more or less keeps going because they’re aired on the expensive Sky system, the problem for AULL is that they air locally on Canal 28, besides the cable TVC broadcast. I think they might got cable-exclusive to try to fix things, or TVC might try to get different arenas to tape so that the fans don’t know if the match will be on TV or not…

BTW, Televisas Deportes newscast said that Antonio Rivera is back on CMLLTV, and that Morales might be joining AAATV… Morales even said “KEBAAAARBARO RIVERA!!”
