AAA TV (FRI) 10/20 Auditorio Jose Maria Arteaga, Queretaro Results
1) Jerrito Estrada, Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Charly Manson b Mascarita Divina, Mascarita Sagrada, Octagoncito
2) Alebrije, Angel, Mascara Divina DQ Barba Roja, Drake, Pirata Morgan Jr.
Pirata Morgan, originally scheduled for this match but moved elsewhere, interfered for the DQ.
3) Cuervo, Ozz b Alan, Decnis [AAA MIDDLE TAG, qf, torneo]
No Homicide or Low-Ki, so Alan and Decnis were back in. The recap says Cuervo beat Alan with a BEARHUG. I wonder if Homicide would’ve gone down that way.
4) Charly Manson, Pirata Morgan b Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis II [AAA MIDDLE TAG, qf, torneo]
Pirata Morgan replaced Abismo on this taping and the next. No hint of what’s up there.
5) Brazo de Plata Jr., Elegido, Intocable, Oriental vs Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
Elegido got bumped up from the second match to replace Porky. Porky was still there and got into a fight with Scorpio Jr., so I’m not sure why he didn’t wrestle. (Probably better off.)
6) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro b Konnan, Lance Hoyt, Muerte Cibernetica

AAA TV (SUN) 10/22 Plaza de Toros Pepeillo Martinez, Salamanca Results
1) Rossy Moreno, Tiffany DQ Estrellita, Fabi Apache
Fabi acciedntly bumped the ref for the DQ. Tiffany hurt her shoulder.
2) Barba Roja, Drake, Pirata Morgan Jr. b Alan, Billy Boy, Decnnis
Pirata Morgan helped his boys win.
3) Mascara Divina, Oriental b Chris Stone, Hator [AAA MIDDLE TAG, qf, torneo]
Why not team up the Stone brothers here?
4) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider b Espiritu, Scoria [AAA MIDDLE TAG, qf, torneo]
Cibernetico reappeared to cost the Sect the match. He vowed to return in a month – not sure if that’s a month from the taping or a month from the airing (which would be two months.)
5) Angel, Elegido, Laredo Kid, Zorro DQ Antifaz, Charly Manson, Histeria, Pirata Morgan
Pirata Morgan won the match with a low blow, but the ref was convinced to flip the decision.
6) Alan Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido b Intocable, La Parka Jr., Super Porky
More Scorpio/Porky stuff, but it was Alan pinning Intocable for the win.

No future TV tapings are announced, but they’ve got enough to last till late November.

Maybe I’m misreading something, but the way AAA describes the AAA Middleweight Middlecard Tag Team Tournament, it sounds as if this is a League format, not a single elimination tournament. A league round robin style tournament seems much to complex for AAA to try – and we’d only be 4 matches into a 12 (or 28) match first round. I guess we’ll find out when they post lineups.

AAA also put up a notes section
– Triple A workers held build a house on the 13th. Sounds like a Habitait for Humanity type things.
– Did I mention the El Brazo interview last time? There’s not much to mention. He’s headed to Japan to work for Fujinama’s new promotion, and the name of it is slipping my mind. Not the El Brazo knows either. It’s the one with Fujinama and Takemura.
– Long interview with the Barrio Boys, who apparently were booed at the 10/04 TV taping when they showed off their new look (pointed out in this interview.) We’re told the Barrio Boys are innovative both with their clothes and their wrestling, and in fact are awesome. They’re new friends with Cripta – I think it’s this Cripta, but before I thought it was this Cripta. I think I need pictures. Anyway, my favorite part of this is when they reveal Antonio Pena came up with the original idea for the Barrio Boys during a sleepless night. I’ll bet it was sleepless.

Nacho Libre comes out on DVD today.

  1. finally Chris Stone debuts.poor Tiffany.they should of team the Stone brothers in this tournament.is Antifaz part of Los Vipers?

  2. In NotiAAA, they announced that the next taping would be on Nov 14, it would be a Tuesday, I think, but I forgot where it was going to be held, probably somewhere in ‘El Bajio’.

More than a Bearhug, I guess Ozz finisher is the upheld ‘Cristo’ while doing a death-leglock-finisher on the other guy. I would hope for AAA to give someone, anyone the tag titles already and book regular tag team matches on their tapings with a ranking system and steady defenses of the title, since the teams make no sense at all… Manson & Pirata Morgan? Hator & Chris Stone? C’mon!!

Reasonable champs would be Mascara Divina and EL Oriental… I hope they handle this titles in a more classic manner, opposed to the ‘lucha extrema’ from the Atomicos version… Why not the Current Super AAA & Laredo Kid as champs?

Weird how they’re using the martinete, Intocable got back in a week, although in screen time, would look like a month… same with Hysteria was alright the next taping…

  3. The Coliseo Mty show looked more like a ‘Martes Nice’ than a AAA show, in NotiAAA, they said they were working on a deal to get back to La Coliseo, and didn’t plug the Latin Lover match that was held that same day’s evening.

I was thinking they could bring up a ‘Latin Lover II’, that is, their own AAA version…

    Should’t Marvel comics sue both Konnanses… and 2000, and Super… et al…

  4. Antifaz is part of the Vipers.

Hator/Chris makes no sense. Manson/Pirata is at least explainable because it was supposed to be Manson/Abismo, and it was probably supposed to be Manson/Electro when they first figured out the cards.

I’ve got a feeling – a very bad feeling – the tag belts are going to Joe Lider and Crazy Boy.

  5. Abismo jumping to CMLL this week?

Lider/Crazzy vs Cuervo/Ozz seems to be the inevitable final… perhaps for Guerra De Titantes.

Next AAA TV is in Irapuato.

  6. I guess every singler luchador wants to work at Arena Mexico at least once… didn’t Abismo Negro work there before AAA was created?

If this is indeed true, it might help CMLL to draw for a couple of weeks, but there’s no place he would actually fit in. He’s like AAA equivalent to Dr Wagner Jr, but in CMLL, who is he going to feud or team up? Perros? Corleone? Guerreros?

    I think maybe Pe

  7. I’m thinking the titles were created because, even if they had Octagon and Parka drop the Mexican Tags, they couldn’t bring in foreigners to challenge for them because of the rules on the National titles.

Either that or Parka and Octagon just didn’t want to drop the belts.

  8. I guess the international appeal is the key here… Parka already has the national cruiser weight AND the X Monsther or whatever it is called, while Octagon has the national middleweight… I think they should drop the titles…

BTW, I guess Porky was injured in the cage match that aired this past weekend, as he fell from the top of the cage… well, not really, but he was alrady working a couple of inches abobe the top rope, and landed on his side. The AAA’s site recap said he was using a collar, which would mean that he’s injured, or at least, that an injury angle is done.

  9. I think I remember seeing the Porky fall and it sure looked like an unplanned spot as if he just lost his balance b/c of Alan Stone (I think).

I don’t think Abismo ever worked in Arena Mexico before. He worked Arena Coliseo once in 1997 as Abismo Negro though. He also appeared at Arena Mexico during the AAA vs CMLL Padrisimo angle where he was spraying fire.

  10. Wouldn’t he have the same legal trouble every other wrestler that has left AAA for CMLL has had over the rights to their names?
