10/16: AAA results, lineups

Might as well get this out now.

AAA TV (THU) 10/12 Plaza de Toros, Tlahuelilpan, Hidalgo Results
1) Angel Mortal, Apache, Gallego, Mr. Condor b Braba Roja, Brazo de Plata Jr., Drake, Pirata Morgan Jr.
Apache yanked Brazo de Plata’s mask – no Kronos, so I guess that was an error? – and got the pin.
2) La Diabolica, Rossy Moreno, Tiffany b Cinthia Moreno, Estrellita, Fabi Apache
Tiffany vs Estrellita pushed
3) Cuervo, Ozz, Scoria b Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera
4) Abismo Negro, Charly Manson, Antifaz, Histeria b Elegido, Gronda, Laredo Kid, Zorro
Laredo Kid was welcomed to the semi-main by being beat bloody. Lucky him! Abismo low blowed Zorro and picked up the win.
5) Alan Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido b Intocable, La Parka Jr., Super Porky [cage]
As noted earlier, Intocable took a tombstone and got carried out of the cage. Guapos won with the help of a mysterious masked man – probably Chris Stone.

AAA TV (MON) 10/16 Domo de la Feria de Leon Lineup
1) Alan, Billy Boy, Decnnis vs Dralion, Genesis, X-Fly
2) Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis vs Barba Roja, Drake, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.
3) Alebrije, Elegido, Laredo Kid, Mascara Divina vs Abismo Negro, Antifaz, Charly Manson, Histeria
4) Chessman vs Muerte Cibernetica
5) Gronda II, Intocable, La Parka Jr., Octagon vs ?, ??, ???, Konnan
AAA’s site is saying no one knows who Konnan is bringing, contrary to Abyss being listed here earlier. AAA’s site is also eagerly anticpating Konnan vs Gronda, so they may not be worth trusting.

AAA TV (FRI) 10/20 Auditorio Jose Maria Arteaga, Queretaro Results
1) Cometa de Fuego, Dragon de Ote I, Draogn de Ote II vs Dance Boy, El Atomico, Red Star
2) Mascarita Divina, Mascarita Sagrada, Octagoncito vs Jerrito Estrada, Mini Abismo Negro, Mini Charly Manson
3) Alebrije, Angel, El Elegido, Mascara Divina vs Barba Roja, Drake, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.
4) Abismo Negro, Charly Manson vs Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis II and Homicide, Low Ki and Cuervo, Ozz [AAA MIDDLE TAG]
Yes. Another title. Just what the world needed. I was so irrationally angry the other when I read Dragon was bringing back a NWA title in a tournament in Mexico, because it’s so useless, and this isn’t much better. I’m pretty sure someone decided it’s easier to create/bring back a title than get someone to actually lose it. Anyway, this obviously would indicate Homicide and Low Ki being two of the mystery men in the previous taping; Alan and Billy Boy were previously announced at this point.
5) Brazo de Plata Jr., Intocable, Oriental, Super Porky vs Alan Stone, Chris Stone, Scorpio Jr., Zumbido
6) La Parka Jr., Octagon, Zorro vs ?, Konnan, Muerte Cibernetica

Comment RSS feed

I added an RSS feed for comments. I think I’ll come up with a reason I did this later.

I was thinking I could add links to the bottom of each post to allow you to digg it or add it to del.ico.us – but is anyone going to do this? Does anyone besides me know what I’m talking about? Right.

10/16: Cibernetico, IWRG, Halcon

no, this is not a recent picture.

If you saw AAA TV over the weekend, they aired a (great) vignette with Cibernetico’s mom forcing Cibernetico to clean her house because of his bad behavior on TV shows. Sadly, Cibernetico’s mom passed away last Friday. Condolences to the family.

IWRG (THU) 10/12 Arena Naucalpan Results
1) Turako b Forastero
2) Astro Boy, Kid Tiger b Comando Mega, Sasaki
Rudos could not understand each other, and lost due to communication issues.
3) Ave Fenix, Bacteria, Suicida b Black Jaguar, Black Terry, Fantasma de la Opera
Bacteria replaced Freelance, who hurt himself on a match opening dive on Fantasma de la Opera. Bacteria’s a rudo (I think), and the rudos were very angry with him with filling in for the tecnicos, so the best the crap out of him. Tecnicos still stole a win, so the rudos beat them down till the tecnicos from the next match came out, leading into the next match.
4) Black Pentagon, Misterioso II, Okumura DQ Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro, Fabian el Gitano
Finish saw Black Pentagon low blow Dr. Cerebro and fake taking a low blow. Referee asked the fans what happened and, according to the IWRG report, happened to turn to the rudo fans, who assured them Black Pentagon was the one truly fouled. What was going on with booking this week?
5) Mr. Niebla, Pantera, Rayo de Jalisco, Texano Jr. b Head Hunter I, Head Hunter II, Olimpico, Pierroth
There was some stuff with Rayo and Veneno (doing announcing, I think) during this match, and Pierroth might have hurt a rib.

Haven’t seen Arena Coliseo results from Sunday yet.

MBLW (SUN) Arena Coliseo de San Luis Potosi Results
2) Alam Roja, Imerial, Gran Machinne vs Bat Boy II, Coyote Azul Jr., Primcipe Misterio
3) Astro Boy vs Yudoca [SLP LIGHT]
4) Centlla Inca, Apolo Star, Principe Leon vs Black Maravilla, Breach Demon, Cachorro
5) Chico Malo vs Apache Blanco [hair]

This show gets noted because, unless there’s a SLP Astro Boy, the known one is the current state Lightweight champion.

Mistico, Olimpico, Shocker, Hijo de Lizmark and Marcela made cameos on the Mexico season debut of Dancing with the Stars.

Notimex did a story on the Apache/Hiroka, which seemed to show up elsewhere more than usual.

Magazines

Luchas 2000 #339 has bald Lady Apache, Black Warrior, and los dos Brazo de Platas

El Halcon #73 is up.
– Q&A with Tony Rivera. His favorite wrestler is Tony Rivera. He says his favorite foreign guy is Mel Gibson, so Tony’s not been following the news. He owns a gym and works as a trainer there.
– Arena Mexico recap
– Champ Car Mario Dominguez driver holds the magazine and talks about lucha libre.
– Sunday Arena Queretaro recap; Dr. Karonte turned on his teammates in the main event.
– Antonio Pena obit, from Super Luchas
– Recap of the Ultraman vs La Sombra mask match. Early in the match, La Sombra put on an armbar that so devestated Ultraman, the commission’s doctor stepped in and stopped the match. The doctor didn’t stop the matches, but he did inject Ultraman (with what? I don’t know) so he could continue to the match. Ultraman rallied back to win the first fall, Shade cheated to win the two fall. In the third fall, La Sombra had Ultraman up in a tapatia – but he also has his shoulders down. The ref counted three, and after much discussion, Sombra accepted the loss.
– Quick bio for Super Nova. He reveals he’s the second son of Texano; I was unaware. he’s also wrestled as Spider King. Satanico, Texano, and Vaquero (Vaquero?) trained him.

It just occurred to me – Mistico is feuding with Jesus (Toral Lopes) and Mistico is actually getting the better of Jesus.
